Anyone know who is spinning? They had a bunch of great NY DJ's there for Memorial Day - wondering if they have anyone special booked for next weekend

You guys would be much better off doing ICE on Friday night for Boris. He's doing afterhours from 3am to 8am. Little Louie Vega is there on Sat and its only open until 6. Not sure how good his music is - I think its more deep and soulful house but I don't think he's spinning for very long b/c they have another DJ scheduled until close after he goes on. Also keep in mind that Okenfold is there on Sunday night

So I picked up a room at the hardrock for the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. I have 2 people registered for the room and will check in early - I was told through the reservation line that I can get my wristbands for the pool when I arrive and check into my room @ 3 or 4 when its ready. I've heard they give out all of your wristbands when you check in (for example - I'd get 2 for Sunday and 2 for Monday at the same time) Is this true? Another question here is has anyone tried tipping the person behind the desk for extra wristbands? Those things will come in handy to get into Rehab that sunday which will probably be a 1-2 hour line Any help would be appreciated

Yes they will be having afterhours on Friday the 3rd - Dj Borris from NY wil be spinning from 3am to close which I hear will be around 8am. Ice was open for memorial day for Jonathan Peters until about 7 and it will be open late again on that Friday - not sure about Sat though. Here is the flyer

It worked for my firends who were out here Memorial Day weekend. They checked in around 6 @ Ceasar's for one night on Sunday. Gave the guy $20 and they got upgraded from a regular room to a $750 dollar suite. The guy was even telling us we'll want to throw parties in the room - and when we saw it we couldn't beleive it. It had a huge tub in the bathroom..2 couches - a bar..and all kinds of art all over the room. Probably 3x the size of a regular room. When we actually looked it up online it was supposed to be $1100 for that night. If you really think about it - why wouldn't the person behind the desk do it for extra $$? Every job in Vegas is all about getting the extra tip - and for those @ the front desk - this probably their only shot. Unless the hotel is completely sold out or if the employee thinks they will get in trouble - I don't see them turning it down. I would say $20 a night or $50 for a weekend is definitely worth it, especially if your going to be partying in the room. I've seen this work first hand - its a great trick

There aren't any places out here that are 18+ except Seven nightclub on Wednesday Nights. I think they have college night which is 19+ to get in - othen than that it is all 21+. Bring a good fake ID if you want to party - although I think some places can be pretty strict

One party you might want to check out is Club Rubber @ the Palms on Sunday night. The inside will be all house and dance music but the outside @ Skin will be only hip-hop. Its a great party overall - can bounce back and forth from the 2 clubs abd party outside - not to mention the models from Rubber walk around in very little clothing!! Just make sure you get there early b/c the line will be a bitch. Usually someone like Kid Capri is @ Bikinnis on Sunday - if I hear anything I will let you know

Just found out from his website and a few people who promote in NY that he'll be out here @ ICE on Friday the 3rd. This guy is amazing - spins bangin tribal & progressive house. Would definitely reccomend checking him out that Friday - will announce more from the schedule as I hear it.

Whether you or not your a huge fan of her music, I've heard the Celine Dion show is amazing. My buddy who was out here 2 weeks back took his girl and dropped $350 on tickets and said it was probably the best show/concert he's ever seen and he doesn't even like her music.

You have obvisouly never been then b/c Rehab is the best party in town. Those pix don't even do it justice - ask anyone on this board. I've only made it there a few times this summer but it is always a great time and the eye candy is amazing. Not to say there aren't hookers or strippers b/c I've heard from quite a few people the strippers are let in for free - either way this is the best thing I've seen in a long time

Tangerine @ Treasure Island is opening this weekend w/ Carmen Electra hosting the grand opening on Friday and Skribbles on Sat - it has a patio on the strip so supposedly you'll be able to watch fireworks from the club. BBB is on Sat @ Ice and Voodoo and Seranno are at Club Venus @ the Venetian on Sunday the 4th I'm sure a few other parties will pop up. I've heard Richard Humpty Vission is @ risque one day this weekend but haven't heard the final details yet - I will keep you guys posted DON"T MISS REHAB ON SUNDAY - BEST PARTY OUT HERE!!

There is actually a lot of good parties this weekend. Felix Da Housecat is @ ICE on Sat and Charles Feelgood is @ Seven for afterhours. I would also make sure you hit up Rehab on Sunday @ the hardrock pool @ noon. Best party out here by far - they are having striper dodgeball this weekend w/ a bunch of ladies from the local stripclubs - should be nice!!

Hoepfully Labor Day will be good this year - but don't expect it to be as crazy as Memorial Day. Last year I was expecting things to be nutz and was a little disapointed when it wasn't on the same level as MMD weekend. There are still some special parties and afterhours that go on (which usually make the weekend) so I sure it will be a great time

Weekend was insane!!!!!!!!! I'm braindead right now but it was one of the best weekends I've ever had. So much good music out here - too bad its not like this all the time. Friday night saw JP @ ICE - he played for about 5 hours - party went until 6:30 - music was off the hook!!! Last hour it cleared out and was 100% all of his crowd - great vibe in ICE that night - this place is perfect for him out here! Saturday night - went to the Rio afterhours for Ivano Bellini until about 10 am....great setup and vibe at the place - amazing to watch the sunrise 50 stories up from the patio. Ivano spun great - track after track of bangin music. Only complaint was it was a little too bright for my liking. This is going to be a weekly party soon so hopefully they'll keep bringing in big DJ's Wanted to check out the Hard Rock Pool party on Sunday but there was no chance of getting in unless you were there super early. The line wrapped all the way around the casino. I heard it was a crazy party but was a little too packed in there. Sunday went to Rain for the Club Rubber Party - somehow we ended up meeting people who got us up to the skyboxes - I couldn't beleive what I was seeing up in this booth - FUCKING INSANE. I thought a full blown orgy was going to break out any second. I guess the rules don't apply for the people up there b/c I have never seen anything like this in my life. Music was much better than I expected - Richard Humpty Vission was pretty good. After that we tried to get into Drais but there was a huge fight downstairs and they stopped letting people in at all for about 40 minutes. Glad I didn't go b/c everyone I talked to said it was the same shit as always - horrible music and crowded as hell - There is honestly no sense in checking Seven or Drais out on the Holiday weekends b/c the other special parties for the holiday weekends fucking blow them out of the water. Didn't go out to catch as many parties I wanted too and somehow I managed to sleep about 6 hours and eat 3 times in almost 4 days. Wish I would have caught a few more DJ's b/c now I am in withdrawal from all the great music - probably not going to go out around here until someone good comes to town to spin b/c it will be such a letdown!! Thank God for presale tickets - had them for every party - didn't wait in line more than a 5 minutes all weekend - didn't have to grease the bouncers and actually paid cheaper than what most places were asking for admission! All in all - had an amazing time - meet alot of cool NY and boston people. Hopefully labor day will be similar to this weekend

Thats wonderful - thanks for the info. Too bad your about 2 weeks too late on this one. I actually didn't have to wait b/c I walked in w/ my sister and some promotor for Crobar and onterage who apparently knows Byrd (one of the doormen). I'm sure you and many other enjoy the party and I'm happy for you. I personally don't think that the party is all that - music is so so and the vibe is non-existant. The only thing Crobar has is a nice space - but this would be sooo much better with new top name Dj's coming in like soundbar and Vision. They used to do this but I guess music isn't their priorty anymore - which is why they are by far the worst of the 3 Crobars. I'm glad they are making money and am thrilled to hear you are having fun. I don't live out there anymore so I really don't care too much about that scene. I was just disapointed when I came home - but I've been used to this w/ Crobar since they reopened last fall.
