  1. Here's the Flyer - Looks like they have Oakenfold opening weekend
  2. You either went to the wrong places or haven't been here in a few years b/c things have changed now. I am basically into that same style of house music (JP, Boris, Tenaglia, etc ) and even though those guys aren't out here all too ofter (JP was out here twice in the last year and Boris was out here 3x) - some of the better DJ's are starting to come around more often. Donald Glaude is spinning every Friday at Ice these days. The next 3 saturdays have Richard Humpty Vission, Roger Sanchez, and Erick Morillo. Godskitchen had Tiesto out here for NYE - Oakenfold and Skribbles were at another party New Years Day. Every major holiday weekend has NY Dj's from NYC on the move out here. You just need to choose the right venue's to go to if you want decent music. If you went to places like Rain, Ghostbar, Light, and Drais - which are usually spots people reccomend - you are probably right. The music at those places (even Drais) is mostly hip hop and cheesy dance music. You just need to pick your spots.
  3. Some of the VIP booths and beds in the main room are the nicest I have ever seen in a club
  4. Memorial Weekend is actually the best - but I would definitely say stick w/ Labor Day if you can't do Memorial Day. Plan your weekend around Rehab at the hardrock. If I had to choose only one thing to do all weekend - It would be that party
  5. The hotel itself is nice - pool area is cool - casino is kind of shitty - really small compared to other places. Its location is right where you would want to be so if the price is pretty cheap I would say go for it. What are your other options in that price range?
  6. Thats this weekend but he is going in Feb - Glaude is there every Friday from now on but still not sure about the Saturday DJ's in Feb yet
  7. Good call on taking out Risque from your plans - that place is beat these days. The 2 clubs I would definitely reccomend going to are ICE and PURE. If Friday night is a nice night definitely hit up Pure - the terrace is awesome - best part about that club but you have to make sure the weather is tollerable. It was so cold on NYE that it was hard to stay up there for more than a half hour. If its shitty out go to ICE and hope for good weather for Sat. and go to PURE then - ICE will be equally good on Friday or Saturday night - Donald Glaude is spinnning Fri and Richard Humpty Vission is on Sat I would also reccomend starting the night off at MIX - get there before 10 and there's no cover - its the best view in Vegas
  8. I've heard from a few people who threw the party last year - they work for Clique. Borris at NV Friday night for afterhours into JP's pool party early saturday. The only other days JP's pool party could happen would be Wednesday - Tuesday would be too early in the week b/c most people will be arriving that day and THurs/Friday are already booked up.
  9. Is JP's pool party on Saturday like I've been hearing? 10am - 8pm
  10. Make sure you check out ICE on Saturday night - not sure who the DJ is yet for those dates but they bring in the best house/dance music in town
  11. I would say 2 inches sounds about right - this is amazing looking down into the Valley and seeing nothing but snow. I'm kind of used to it though - I grew up in Chicago.
  12. Cheyenne and 215 - way up on the outskirts of mountains. There is a ton up here - I can't beleive my eyes
  13. Not only is it snowing but the entire ground and streets are covered - something wierd is definitely happening to the weather and climates on this planet.
  14. I would agree - this club looks likes it belongs in South Beach - absolutely gorgeous. W/out a doubt the nicest club in Vegas - extremely classy and excellent service from the VIP hosts. The terrace on the roof makes this place - watching the fireworks from the rooftop was amazing. They did an excellent job one this club - 3 different rooms of music catering to pretty much all types of people. I can't wait until it warms up to hear some good DJ's rip apart the patio
  15. Hopefully they attempt to bring in better house music than at Drai's or Seven - I don't think either of those has had a decent DJ who is known outside of Vegas in there more than a handful of times. It would be nice to see some of the big names that ICE brings in spinning afterhours in this town
  16. I think it was JP followed by JP followed by about 5-6 people taken to the hosptal followed by the party being cut short
  17. People who post these threads are fucking gay. Seriously - who cares what parties you won't be attending - there were hundreds of parties last year. Do you see me making a post for every fucking one I decided not to go to. Its sad that some of you people hate so much on a certain type of party or crowd that you need to post you won't be going to that party. Do you seriously think anyone who is planning on going to JP's party this year gives a shit you won't be going? Find a party you like - get excited about it - post about it - do whatever. But to start a thread about not going to a certain party is fucking childish. Some of you people need to get a hobby or girlfriend if you have that much time on your hands.
  18. $100/night is cheap as hell - this is south beach afterall. I paid close to $300/night last year for a 1 bdrm suite. Every hotel bumps up their rates for these dates so you honestly won't find anything cheaper than $100
  19. Tiesto is at ICE on the First - cover is $40. Not sure about Studio 54 though
  20. The thing about Godskitchen is they have access to booking DJ's at about 1/2 or 1/4 the price that person would charge to do a one time thing at some random club. For example, some DJ's charge 20k a night - but since Godskitchen books them for anywhere between 10 - 20 spots (minimum) per year - they get the same abig name DJ's for 5 or 10k. Some of these DJ's can't be booked by any Joe Schmoe b/c half the time they won't get their $$. Since they are a reputible and well know company, these DJ's have no problem signing multiple contracts w/ them. Basically w/out companies like Godskitchen or Spundae - you can forget about booking the big names in the house and electronic music industry
  21. http://www.residentadvisor.net/news.asp?id=5990 No more Crobar for the sublimal party. I'm not a big fan of Space but the patio w/ Morillo should be a great party - hopefully we'll get to hear him for a much longer period of time compared to last year's party
  22. Damn I wish ICE or PURE would bring him out to Vegas. He hasn't played here in a few years. I'm contimplating heading out to SF for this - Tenaglia kills it every time I've heard him
  23. First of all, I have never met BillLe in person (but this is something that needs to happen soon bud b/c you seem really cool and we obviously have similar intersts). Secondly, I'm done being civil to you fuckin idiots. A YOUR CLUB SUCKS!! No one on this board gives a shit about your garbage urban club or the trash the goes through it. You act like its no big deal that females in your club are harrassed by the predominatly "Urban" crowd - this must be ok in your book I take it. Maybe since you are around it all the time its no big deal - I guess it is just comes with the crowd. Or maybe you yourself harass girls on a regular basis when they have no interst in you - this would also make sense on why you shrug this off as no big deal. I guess this is just a commonplace among the crowd you attract. OPM is the first on only "Urban" club I've ever claimed to have gone to and it will definitely be my last I didn't state anywhere in my post that I got in a fight w/ a bouncer or security - I was just shocked that when you use a fucking metal detector before you enter the club. I guess this is probably a good idea though. I can just see myself leaving your shithole of a club w/ a knife would or even worse b/c I'm arguing w/ the scumbags who sexually harass my girlfriend and her friends. If this happened in a club I usually went to or strongly endorsed, I wouldn't act like it was no big deal. But this just goes to show what kind of person you are and the type of people who frequent your club. I DID GET INTO ARGUMENTS W/ THE ASSHOLES WHO GRABBED MY GIRLFRIENDS ASS AS SHE WALKED BY LIKE IT WAS NO BIG DEAL. Who wouldn't? Bottom line - keep talking your shit and racking up your posts on here. NO ONE CARES!!! Aside from you 2, no one comes on here for reccomendations on hip-hop, r&B, and regeea. This board is predominatly composed of people who are into house/dance music (whether they are black, white, asian, indian, spanish - whatever) and its the truth. Take a look at the NY/Jersey/Chicago boards if you don't believe me. Stick these non-sense posts in the hip-hop board where they belong b/c you are poluting what used to be a very peaceful and resourceful board for those looking to have a good time on their vacation. BTW - Good luck w/ OPM. I hope it continues to do well and I sincerely mean it b/c its success keeps all the riff raff and trash out of the nicer clubs I tend to frequent. I'M DONE - HAVE A NICE DAY
  24. I find it hilarious how you people continue to argue on this point and bash BillLe for his opinions and reccomendations. When is the last time someone came on here and posted how much fun they had at OPM b/c one of you reccomended it? B/c there is at least one post a week from people who BillLe set up at clubs and they say they had the best time out here. He does a great job at reccomending clubs on the nights they are hot, and no one on this board but (except you 2) have a negative thing to say about him. I am in the same shoes as him. I would NEVER reccomend OPM b/c I had a horrible experience there. 1) The bouncers were rude at the door and wouldn't accept comp admission cards from my girlfriend and her 2 friends before midnight 2) I was patted down and a metal detector wand was waived across my body before I went in (although I have heard this has changed since then) 3) Almost got in a fight w/ more than a handful of the patrons in the club b/c apparently it is ok to harass a girl dancing and grab her ass as she walks by. Everyone had a real tough guy attitude like it was OK or acceptable to do this ***** # 3 was the biggest turn off about this place b/c it happened several times - who the hell wants to put up w/ that Maybe when your around that environment all the time and know some of the people in the club this does not happen or maybe you guys are just used to that but these are 3 solid reason I would never go back.
