  1. wow the rsvps are high for this thursday and this is only tuesday lollll
  2. A lot of people have been asking, so here's a look back at some very memorable moments in LALate's 1st year .... Biggest Surprise as a Great Party NYE Warehouse party. For $20 it was a huge bash with flame throwers, big screen tvs, lounges, the list goes on and on. Biggest Surprise as an Uncontrollable Party The night we carried a special party at Orion that opened at 10pm. We arrived at 9:15 and found no less than 3 city blocks of people in line, about 2,000 people. Cuttest Moment Talking with Family Ties' Tina Yothers for 1/2 hour during Gene Simmons' private party at the Key Club Saddest Moment When we found out that Mariah Carey appeared at Goodbar the only week we hadnt attended in three weeks. Oh no! Happiest to Saddest Moment Talking with Left Eye Lopez at Snatch weeks before her passing. She was so nice. Hardest Event to Name "Here's Snatch". We tried "Snatch @ Here" ... "The Here Snatch" .. nothing worked lol. Event We Never Named "Fellat...." ... it was the private opening of Forbidden City. Why they used that name, we have no clue. Biggest Line-Cutter Jay Z. He did it 3 times in weeks - but hey, he can. He's Jay Z. Hardest Venue to Pronounce "Dorscia"... was it DORSHA or DorSEEa? We still don't know Strangest Venue Name Change "Moomba" to "Dorscia". Biggest Missed Party Memorial Weekend Warehouse Party. Best party for the holiday ever, but no one else went. Biggest Missed Venue Hacienda. We pushed it and pushed it but no one ever cared. Night We Will Never Forget When we carried Ludacris Live at the Highlands no cover and across at Cinespace at the same time Monica and Wycleff Jean -- all performing live with no cover. Night we Wish to Forget When we carried an Arena Magazine Premiere party and a private party at the Falls on the same night. The Arena party turned out to be a kareokee event with a guy with a tail and leapord outfit, and the Falls fell to only 12 patrons, most being subpromoters. Night that was Missing Something November Thursday @ AD. 50 people in the venue. Night that Offered alot Same night at AD when a bored crowd of women started offering lapdances. Night that Made No Sense The Movie Premiere Party at Dorscia that offered Candy Bars. Night that Made No Sense - Part 2 The private opening of Forbidden City that offered a Draq Queen show of 6'7'' amazons. Why? Night We Never Listed A private party for an Actress at White Lotus. No one had ever heard of her (and to this day, never has). Biggest Surprise Success Wet T-Shirt Contest Party at Guys. A small venue we thought. Little did we realize what "wet t-shirt" did -- we sent more people to that party than we could ever expect. Quickest Venue Fall off Reign, Beverly Hills. One week with an open vodka bar at 10-11 and no cover on a Saturday -- stunning crowd, dancing all night Next week, same vodka bar -- no one dancing, everyone left at 12 pm. Best Beverage Sponsor Time Reign Beverly Hills. Any open bar to 11pm deserves a medal. Strangest Beverage Sponsor Time Gene Simmons Open Bar party for Tongue Magazine - approx 7:30 to 9 pm. The party was done at 9:30 pm. Worse Love Night The night former Lakers' Robert Horrey was sitting around without any girls talking to him. Best Love Night The same night Jerry Buss had beautiful women all around him. Funniest Lottery Night The night we won 24 tickets to Ivar, and only 80 people were in the venue. The Night the Bar beat the Club No one at Shelter, so we walk over to Dublins, and in rolls Derrick Fisher and a ton of others. Biggest "Now that's a Waste" Night When we went into the VIP lounge in Ivar that was gorgeous but there was only 5 other people allowed into it. What a waste.

Sorry for the delay in responding because yesterday was huge and incredibly busy as we were totally overwhelmed by an outpouring of emails and messages from everywhere, all different walks of life, above-age people, 18 and over, new faces and old, wonderful comments and an outpouring of great sentiments about the need for teenlate.com. What a great start! At one point our servers were having difficulty handling all responses so we appologize for that momentary problem. Thanks everyone for your great thoughts and especially the great CP board. And get ready for next week - the massive week long One Year Anniversary Celebration for LALate.com with parties all over town! LA Late.com | NY Late.com | Teen Late.com
  12. Television Internet unveils TeenLate.com to be the Nation's first website for Teen Nightlife Younger brother site to LA Late.com | NY Late.com to create new industry of VIP guestlist only events for American teens SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA. AUGUST 20, 2003. One year ago this month, the Television Internet Broadcasting Network, the world's largest internet broadcasting network, announced the launch of a new business line, LALate.com, to promote its runaway hit series "Sitcom, a sitcom". Television Internet never envisioned LALate to be anything other than a mere marketing vehicle to promote its new series, providing LA residents the first ever one-stop website to get into Hollywood's most exclusive VIP guestlist only parties. However, when Television Internet saw LALate attracting overnight unprecedented numbers of subscribers, execs realized the site was worth taking serious. Now, one year LALate has become one of the great success stories for nightlife in the nation, growing to become the preeminent authority on nightlifestyle by amassing one of the largest current databases of clubgoers in Los Angeles with a sister site in New York (ny late.com), and carrying virtually every top exclusive venue including the number one LA venue - White Lotus - not just once but three nights per week. Today, that same proprietary business model and site design that modernized the industry of club promotions in this nation for 21 and over clubs is about do it again, attempting not to just revolutionize but in essence create an entire new industry of VIP guestlist only events for American teens with the launch today of the third installment in the "late.com" franchise, "teenlate.com". If you're a teenager and you want to party at a VIP guestlist only venue, where do you go, you might ask; the new TeenLate.com is the answer. Built upon the platform of LA Late and NY Late, TeenLate is the first every website in the nation designed to serve the teenager at night, the person who can't attend the 21 and over clubs. What makes TeenLate so unique is it hopes, as more a grassroots movement than just a service website, to change the face of nightlife in this nation by bringing together the largest following of under 21 clubgoers in the nation. "It's very simple. America's teenagers have virtually nowhere to go and they are absolutely sick of it", says LALate.com in explaining the motivation behind TeenLate.com. "Every week LALate gets emails from underage clubgoers asking for insight on where to party. Teenagers are tired of staying at home, going to the mall, or maybe going to one or two venues in their town. Then want to party at upscale VIP guestlist only events, but where are the promoters for them?" The grassroots effort behind TeenLate.com is to rally America's teenagers to encourage and facilitate promoters to develop the 18 and over nightlife industry. "LA has hundreds of promoters for 21 and over clubs, but virtually no promoters for the VIP guestlist only teen. TeenLate hopes to encourage promoters to build the teen VIP guestlist industry to mirror that of the of-age clubs." TeenLate will function as a service site like its older brother sites LA Late.com and NY Late.com; having amassed a database of top venues for the LA teen, TeenLate will deliver to LA teens every week for a nominal monthly fee updated information on top teen events in LA area. Deployment into other cities will follow thereafter. "What makes TeenLate so exciting is it seeks to fill a void like LA Late and NY Late did one year ago. Whenever you fill a void, you don't know how something will progress, but you know where you want to end up." Today, LA Late.com and N YLate.com are still the only one-stop websites for Los Angeles and New York residents to get into the most exclusive VIP-only parties on both coasts, listing several dozen events per week featuring top celebrities and venues. With one of the largest email databases of clubgoers in Los Angeles, upscale residents encompassing 90% women between 21 and 25 that read its weekly newsletters on what's hot and what's not in nightlifestyle from fashion to automotive news, and a paid promoter list of top LA promoters, LA Late and NY Late can make a promoter's career overnight. "Our subscribers have been known to bring a moderately attended club to flowing over capacity in virtually no time." LALate has built its success through branded products, like the "LALate Hot@9 Chart", listing the top VIP special nonrecurring parties that week and the "LALate 7-Day Planner", LA's top chart listing the number one party each night of that respective week. Also included are the "LALate Best of Awards" (NYE, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter) and the soon to be announced "03 LALate Hot 10 10s" - five girls and five guys that are the top 10s on the Hollywood scene. TeenLate follows other Television Internet business units which have previously formed successful marketing alliances, like TelevisionMobile.com in 2001 with Microsoft's Content Partner Division, Microsoft's Mobile Solutions Division, and product launch of Microsoft Pocket PC 2002 Edition in two continents. TeenLate is currently available for LA subscribers at www.teenlate.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Image for Media Usage: http://televisioninternet.com/club/teenlate.jpg LA LATE.COM | NY LATE.COM | TEENLATE.COM part of the Television Internet Broadcasting Network family of companies TELEVISIONINTERNET.COM © 2003 LALATE.COM. 20. FOR IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE: The highly anticipated (next)Late.com to join LA Late.com and NY Late.com will be revealed on August 20, 2003 on this site. Starting Monday August 18, LALate.com will count down to Wednesday's announcement by revealing on this site the first letter of the next installment in the "Late.com" franchise, revealing a new letter each day until Wednesday's press unveiling of (new)Late.com.
  21. LALate attended the venue last night, now that a few weeks have past since we attended it's private opening before everyone else, to see how the venue has progressed. The venue's kitchen was open for the first night tonight. The food was very good and very reasonably priced, two great things to consider. However, the menu selection was quite small and the physical menu itself, we hope, was only temporary because it was not presentable. We hope that the venue is still getting itself organized because cocktail napkins were served with dinner with no proper place setting nor linen napkins. The venue has added some truly exceptional furnishings to the inside, new light features and goregous sofas in cigar and similar colorings. One item clearly obvious is most staff seems a little bothered about the operations-- complaining insufficient facilities at bar stations for bartenders, confusion as to what and when table and dinner arrangements are changing, etc. One clear confusion was for the opening dancing was all night long on the dancefloor. Now they have flooded the dancefloor with table seating (even though there is more than enough empty tables in the venue) to inhibit early dancing. The clientelle is good, not great, and needs improvement. Early 30s, guy to girl ratios quite high, a small prevelance of really beautiful people (unlike 9000 Lounge this week, see other thread). It looked like a slow night @ Joya crowd. Overall, we love the physical venue, the food, the door operations (exceptionally smooth), and the service.
