Most people dont realize that the venture company - Sequoia - that owns a major stake in Google is the same company that launched YouTube. So when Sequoia brokered the Google-YouTube deal, it was basically just shifting huge amounts of - an unjustified price - between two investments.

Very good question. Who should use a host 1. People that want the very best venue and the best night for their taste. Which venue should I be at on which night? Thats a big question. Even reading this board some of the time wont answer that. The host's job is to get you exactly the right spots for your taste. 2. People who are doing mulitple venues in one night. How to plan the entire night? If you want to do several venues a night, without a host is going to be super tough. Two weeks ago I had a client for Tao, Body English and Seamles all in one night for two guys. 3. People who dont know where to spend and not to spend. If you are partying many nights, you can find yourself throwing money on bottles and cover at many venues that a host could have hooked you up for free. Many a vegas door will want you to always do bottles, but if you are paryting at a hand full of venues during your trip, the normal clubgoer cant afford that expenditure. I dont know how other hosts do it but if a client uses our services for one venue for lesser venues we will throw in free hookups. 4. People who love the slight of hand. If you are the type of clubgoer that is going to preparty, mainparty, afterparty, afterparty, there is countless slight of hand tricks as I would call it as to where to get your preparty on, where to find chicks to bring to party, when not to arrive at afterhours. A good vip host will throw all that information in for you for free. Partying is not just about your reservation, its much more. Who doesnt need a vip host. 1. Someone who doesnt care what venue they are going to 2. Someone who likes to wait in line 3. Someone who likes to wing it and home their chips fall. 4. Someone who doesnt do mulitple venues a night. 5. Someone for who money is no object and is willing to throw mad money at things they might otherwise not have to.

I dont think we have a thread about this in a while. Last week I had clients that did Body English and Seamless and they really adored Seamless. Your choice of afterhours currently are Seamlesss Thurs to Monday Empire Friday and Saturday Triq Friday and Saturday Drais Tuesday to Sunday I adore Empire & Drais (for MANY years). Have not attended Seamless yet (but my clients love it). Triq im looking at checking out this month with Seamless.

more than one week in advance is better. Anything that requires more work than 3 people line pass for Tao, Tryst, Body English, Rehab, Afterhours - best to drop an email or similar more than a week in advance... Rehab meetings are soon so I will have more info for you after that.

Sorry my inbox has been filling up quickly lately. Here's my scoup .. without revealing how I personally do it, here is how you can try to do it ... from someone who has never paid for anything but a standard room rate for the last few years and has never stayed in standard room. I dont gamble. I have only patronized one hotel operators list of properties the last 1/2 decade. I know what are the best rooms in the hotel so I know what to ask for. I dont check in when all of the western world is in line.
