Real house people will tell you that its still amazing after all 15yrs the party has been goin on, name another one in nyc that has been around this long in the underground scene. Shelter is far from what people call gospel,soulful house, if you havent been to a party like shelter that lasts from 11pm sat night till 1-2pm sunday afternoon then dont talk. Cause theres alot of musical styles timmy plays, but yes it is a mostly deephouse party but not gospel church shit like some people think.

i had a blast until we left and then it closed like 5 mins after we left around 650am i believe. Hector was def playing some good stuff and satoshi played much different then the last 2 times ive heard him and IMO much better, less of that techy/electro stuff and more darker sounding beats. Always good chillin with you and drew and danielle at party.

lol hes still a rookie no matter what he thinks lol. And to RBERT duvet is a pretty peopel trendy place with the usual top 40 tunes and bottle service tough door on every ngiht except for this MOTION party on fri nights where it house music enviroment.

which makes it even better, theres alot of people who have other jobs as well as djing in thier 30/40/50 at parties all the time as well.

im actually gonna defend JP for the first time and say yeah he is human waht is the big deal, sometimes people dont like skippin the line or dont mind waiting when they dont have too. I know at cielo/love or certain parties where i can skip the line i dont mind waiting my turn while security tells me go right ahead, i dont mind waiting myself, unless its really really cold, or im late or something. I didnt make it out was to tired from thurs night and also was at the apple store with kerri chandler ripping it till about 245am, danny krivit, quentin harris, phil d some of the house dancers were in the house, was a good time. Hopefully will make it out next week for king unique, thats gonna be a very interesting night, and respect to chris soul who everytime i have heard him has played some good stuff.

im 25 myself and ive been goin out since i was 15 and dont see myself "stopping" at all really. Again think about all the legends out there who are still playing and touring the world as djs, thier no spring chickens hehe. Shit even the man who started this whole dance music culture on feb 14th 1968 DAVID MACNSUO just had a party at THE LOFT the other day. And the crowd were grand parents thier kids and thier grand kids, THATS HOUSE.

STFU seriously, to old for what? To go out and dance? I mean there so many people in their 40s and 50s who have been in this scene since the begining that still go out 2-3 nights of the week. ANd there would be more if it wasnt for the 1980s aids epidemic. How about people who say they retired from goin out and never really go out beyond once or 2 times a month or so lol. Or who have only been into on escene or dj only. This house music/dance music/techno or whatever your into is a LIFESTYLE/CULTURE not a fad, so it will move on without you and without me when im gone as well. I dont know but nothing gets to me more then hearing people say ive moved on with my life and are only like 23 or im to old to dance and are only 27. Or people who say wtf is that person doin ina club hes 30 or 40,seriously how old do you think the best djs in the world are lol. Im talking about the NEW stereo club (octagon) on 33rd street between 10-11ave i believe starting up soon. Dont know if it will only be ANGEL MORAES playing every week or what the deal is, just spreading the word like i always do. I do know that JELLYBEAN BENEITEZ monthly party with MARLON D "AINT NUTTHIN BUT A HOUSE PARTY" has moved from its old location to this venue, so i wish it luck.

apparantly MADONNA was BOOED off the stage her first few performances at THE PARADISE GARAGE in the early 80s. Technically shes not a great singer but an awesome performer with a good voice, but she has alot of the right combinations taht have made her a legend.

well rayray stop downloading music or getting it from whatever way you get it and then you will enjoy hearing music from all djs. This isnt about you personally but one problem that i notice is "fans" who want to get their hands on every piece of music that they hear and like, its a great thing and a bad thing. Cuse songs get played out to easily everybody thinks there a dj, and when a person has a song for like a month and hear a dj drop it they say its old ive had itfor such and such time. And also think of thebig room mentality is filled with 1000 of people some people want to hear certain things so it is a djs job to try to please everyone. So that dj plays certain things at certain times to try to please everyone, sometimes it works for some people and for others it doesnt. A good dj plays the newest tracks A GREAT DJ plays 30+ yrs worth of dance music and makes it work. And ray ray if you want to hear djs play new and exclusive shit then i suggest you check out the djs who play 12-15hr sets and go adn listen to the last 5hrs or so of that set.

Well how about this for the people who complain about good musci from 10am-4pm. Im not talking about MOrillo only im talking bout nights when dt plays as well. Why not have a great fri night and rest up sat day/afternoon go on with your day and go to bed a bit early wake up at 6am or so and go to the club and think of it was work but wiht good musci when the night is voer enjoy the rest of sunday.
