  1. Well just wanna say that the NYC SOUND that people all over the world know or knew about goes way back further then these tracks. I dont know how to explain it very claearily maybe someone else will.
  2. It has nothing to do with it cause i dont set out to do that to anybody with my words.
  3. I find it funny as well when djs like todd terry, tony humphries, marshall jefferson, dont get love from the modern day clubber here while in europe there touring all over the place and making money. Same thing with roger sanchez and erick morillo, then again their styles of music have changed abit also to fit in with a certain crowd and forgetting about the crowd that supported them fromthe begging, im talking more about erick than roger in this instance. Also wanna say it all depends on the dj as well cant hate on them for wanting to make money and move up the chain so to say. But i gotta give respect to djs like timmy regisford, francois k, danny krivit to name a few who have been doing this since the 70s and kinda turn their backs on going "mainstream". And here they are 30 yrs later still playing all over the world while having their nyc residency.
  4. TEDD PATTERSON, out of 32 sets i have heard from him since 2002 hes only had 2 off nights. And out of the 11 times ive heard him this yr hes been off once.
  5. Alot of those djs are getting up there and have been around since the 80s and even 70s. I know i can speak for the SHELTER part of it when i say STING INTERNATIONAL and QUENTIN HARRIS i think are being groomed to fill in the slot of timmy were to step down. As for the other genres of house its kinda tough to really say.
  6. i have a funny feeling there will be one.
  7. LOL@ nmn and warpdrive, you guys are pretty funny. Hey warp a bit curious when and where did ya hear danny krivit anyhow? And alot of djs are off on some mixes and i think its great shows thier human and not being help with anything. Also depends on what you view as a great dj? PROGRAMMING OR MIXING? I prefer programming then mixing personally.
  8. regardless if boris or jp ever play pacha their crowd is still gonna go there cause its the new place to be.
  9. I think it really has to do with the bpms as well. And carmine man your words against me were hilarious, i hope ya do see me out so we can both have a good time cause yes that is what its all about. And believe me for somone like me who goe sout like 4 to 5 times a week for many yrs now i have a great time and dont sit down or leave till im exhausted till the lights come on or till its time to go to work i dont watch the crowd at all. And im friends with many guidos as well who dance with me at many parties aint no hate goin on. Main problem is alot of people dont know who or where or why this music was started in the first place. To some it seems only like a scene to get drugs and laid and hear fast repetitive beats. Thats the sad part that i hate.
  10. The thing with DIBIZA yes he has been working on it since actually 2001 and i have heard almost 16 different versions personally. But he keeps changin it and just recently finished it and had a release party in spain not to long ago. Expect a us release in 2006.
  11. I may be wrong in saying this but i dont feel like those sf guido shuffelers are dancers at all. The dancers are still around but there not around in the big rooms per say. Go to shelter, 718 sessions, deepspace, deepsee, dance conference, etc where house music is played from the 120 to 128 bpms. Amazing dancers, personally i dont like these MODERN DAY CIRCLES where a bunch of guys are just jumping around and not really moving to the beat, just wanna show off whatever step they picked up or show of their clothes or bodies or some shit. Only circles i love are the ones where the dancers have SOUL, like the deephouse dance scene that is something else. WHY DO YOU THINK THE HOUSE DANCE CONFERENCE DRAWS ALL THE BEST DANCERS???? THE MUSIC, cause it aint sf guido fist pumping shuffiling music.
  12. Depends what type of crowd and what type of music. I can take you to about 5 after hrs party that doesnt bring that element to a party. With that said have fun everyone on nyes.

  14. I liked the days when a dj would play a track for a good 6 months to a yr b4 it was finally release to the public. I dont see why an average person should have all the new music a SUPERSTAR DJ has right away. It makes that particular dj that more special to go and hear cause you know only he/she will play that song. And ya know when its release you will go get it eventually. I remember when david morales would make tracks in the mid 90s and no one could get their hands on them until a yr later when he finally released it. Thats why i like what danny tenaglia is doin with DIBIZA.
  15. sandcastles had a shitload of play in 2004 as well sorry.
  16. Might actually go to this now. unless something comes up again.
  17. How do i bring peoples opinions down? By stating my own, thats not possible. And im sure the more "seasoned cp person" knows i dont like trance, but i gotta let the new ones know as well lol. Anyhow wanted to say to those fans of "sandcastles" dennis ferrer one of the brains behind that song will be playing at DEEPSEE tues over at SAPPHIRE LOUNGE with EMAN n LOLA in 2 weeks.
  18. Saddens me to read stuff like this, really wish more people would convert to house music, as funny as that sounds. Good luck with your party.
