Are you surprised with the price? Dude, it's NYE. Everything is going to be way overpriced. Save yourself the hassle and money and stay in on NYE or go some place local. Especially if you live in or close to the city. It's always better to catch your favorite DJ on a regular night. Less packed, less tourists, less money= a happy you.

On that note then, I'm doing an hour set at a place in Teaneck, NJ called Zen Lounge. My set is an early one being that I have to go to work the next day: It's from 9-10 PM. I pretty much lost my job at this small lounge because all the patrons there wanted to hear was commercial Hip Hop. I would be forced to play a little here and there but still it was not enough. It was all these idiots wanted! Needless to say, I'm no longer there and now have to resort to finding a new job at a place that appreciates proper dance music. What I mean by that is not the commercial KTU crap either. It is so tough to play what you like to a crowd that resents having to hear music they're not used to. By the way, the venue was in NJ, so I guess that kind of explains it. However, now that it's also happening in bigger clubs in NYC-Yikes! Looks I definitely won't be going out as much.

Well what I mean is that the songs they choose have that moral message to them. For example, one of the songs off of Tony's CD mentions something about "girls putting thier clothes back on, and having some respect for their bodies" to paraphrase and, a track from Krivit's CD has a song referring to Jesus. I guess it's kind of strange for me to hear because I sometimes associate House music being a little evil in some ways. That's just me though. I'm sure many would disagree and say it's an enlightening experience and all that jazz.

I've heard TH twice out in NY. I heard him years ago at Twilo. His set there was awesome! I later heard him at Centro-Fly and his set there was just dull and bland. I've also heard a couple of his CD's and they're way too vocally and have that gospel sound way too much. Very similar in style to Danny Krivit.

Something about that room, can create a vibe that only those who know, know. Jerre and I found ourselves just standing there looking around and it was just so emotional all the memories comin back we both started crying. Can you say homo?

I think that circles belong at raves. If you want to dance around in a circle, then open up a strictly circle club. You can always go to a venue that has square dancing too. Quite frankly, I hate them.

Yeah. They're using a jukebox. They decided not to bother w/DJ's. So, that means you can go up in the booth, get out your dollars, and put them in the machine. However, you only have two minutes to pick your tracks so make sure your dollars are crisp.

So, does this mean that if I made a mixed CD the way I normally do which is by recording it through my burner and onto a CD, and, if there's one trainwreck, I can edit that part out? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes but what program can I use and how simple is it to do?

Who do you think was the best overall DJ of 2005? Don't give me a magazine's list or your top ten or your fave DJ ten years ago. Just plain and simple, based on you hearing him personally this year, buying her new CD, travelling abroad, being consistent, the whole package. I haven't been going out too much lately and so, I'm kind of out of the loop to the week in/week out parties. I know there's a huge list everyone can give but again, just narrow it down to one. Mine is simply because I actually heard him and waited two freakin hours in line for him was good ole' Sasha. Yes he is a big name DJ but he's done a lot this year. He had a six month residency at Crobar, he started mixing with his Ableton board, he put out a new CD (which I've yet to hear), and he continues to push the envelope of EDM. Hell, Trance is not even my forte but again, he plays Trance, House, Progressive, and Breaks (which I don't particularly care for). Sasha is numero uno for me for 2005.

Take those stupid contacts out of your eyes! Thats not about the music, its about making a quick buck. the dance scene is a culture, and doing that turned alot of people off. regular people who in the late 1990's where feeling dance music, now are turned off by it, and listen to hip hop or rock instead. While people in dance say, tribal is cool, trance sucks, and fight over the sub genre's, everyone else is listening to hip hop,and when the Dj place dance music, all the girls come up and say "do you have anything besides techno?" So true.

It's called bad 'E'. They're still tweakin from the fake Factory days. JP could fart up in the booth and they'd still go. Stupid wankers!

Sorry. Even though I live in NJ, I rarely go out to the clubs here.
