  1. The next thing you will hear is that some stores will refuse to sell to black people. Republicans all need to be shipped to some island and then the island fucking sunk. Racist, bigotted, ignorant little chimps. All of em.
  2. We need more info. Do you want the swanky pseudo underground feel with lots of pretty people? Do you want the dirty grungey underground feel with lots of local people? Do you want the cool, hip, laid back lounge that has a euro feel? Do you want an irish pub with sports? etc etc
  3. Sasha Alone Digweed Alone Sasha & Digweed Together Steve Lawler Anthony Pappa Deep Dish Polefolder
  4. I don't give a flying fuck if he's the reigning supreme allied house music dancing commander of multiple galaxies. That shit looked ugly to me. Can I dance better? Y'know what..I can bop my head and feel I dance better. Would you think so? I honestly don't care. To me, Dancing is about expression. Some people dig that type of expression, don't people don't. I happen to not dig it. Do I think these guys are losers or something? Hells no. Let them do what they want. Bull posted it in the forums, we all gave our feedback. Don't knock what others feel about something just cuz it differs from your opinion. Who's the ignorant one now?
  5. Those videos had the worst dancers I've ever seen in the history of seeing people dance. The 1st 3 guys looked like they were memorizing moves and trying to play back a pre-recorded sequence and that last Japanese guy is just spastic.
  6. I don't have an opinion about anything else but this. Crobar's staff is TOP NOTCH. When I think Crobar, I think friendly staff. They contribute to the vibe of the place. Places like Spirit are like exit...rude assholes walking around with flashlights yelling at everyone. Kills the vibe.
  7. You know whats funny. That Tiesto and Mickey Mouse are said in the same sentence and it not be a fucking joke. Classic comedy.
  8. i thought about this a few years ago. sounds good when you first think of it but when you think about it further, it kinda falls apart. My advice to you...well, keep it simple. Keep it private and don't tell TOO many ppl about it. Then after about a year, shut it down.
  9. Look for the word "only" in my response. Did you find it? I hope not. Cuz if you did, I'd question which thread you were reading. I don't give a rats ass if DT drops a country track, followed by a hip hop track, followed by Backstreet Boys. He's known as a tribal, tech and progressive house DJ. Period. End of story. There is nothing "technical" about track selection. But I'll bite. Let's say to you..track selection IS "technical". Track selection is about making people move, making them have fun, making them feel something. To the fans of tiesto, who apparently outnumber DT's fans by like 10 to 1...tiesto's track selection was better in 2004. Now I like DT's track selection better, but that's personal taste and has nothing to do with the "best dj of 2004" title. I don't confuse personal taste with a popular dj award. You shouldn't either.
  10. Ok, lets break it down. Best DJ of 2004. Longevity - Um...what part of Best DJ of 2004 do you not understand. They didn't say Best DJ of the 20th and 21st Century. TWO THOUSAND FOUR. Lets read it again. T W O T H O U S A N D F O U R. Get it? Got it? Good. Technical Skills - I don't care how good you are on 2 decks and a mixer. I don't care if you can flip the turntable and do a somersault backflip while mixing. If your track selection sucks and you can't get the crowd moving, all your skills are a waste of time. No one cares now nor ever in the future about the kid in the basement doing crazy tricks on a mixer and turntables while playing country music. Musical Diversity - How diverse are most DJ's? DT plays tech-house, tribal, progressive. Most DJ's are invariably pigeon holed into a style. Tiesto is Trace, vocals, progressive and techno. Name any DJ and they have some musical diversity but they never go too far off the edge. Fan Appeal - Helllllo McFly. Tiesto won a popularity contest hands down. He fills stadiums full of people. He has mass fan appeal. Respect From Peers - Ok, you got me. He gets no respect. He's almost as bad as Oakie. No one gives him any respect. Call him Tiesto "Rodney Dangerfield". Like he gives a rats ass. Like I said, I think Tiesto sucks ass and plays music that has no soul, but that's just my opinion. Do I care? No. Will I go listen to him? No. Do I think he SHOULD be the best DJ? Hells no. Is he the best DJ of 2004 by most measurable standards? You better believe it.
  11. And you know what? I hate tiesto. It's a sell out cheeseball. Is he the greatest dj in the world? Well, the voters seem to think so. I voted against him but hey, i was outvoted. I move on.
  12. More bullshit from silverbullshit. blah blah blah blah blah. If I say so and so is the greatest dj in the world, then he/she is....in my book. If enough people say so and so is the greatest dj in the world, then he/she is....according to the voting public. You got a problem with the voting system? Go yell at THEM about it. Don't blame the voters or the winner. Case closed. Jesus, this is just like any other bullshit thread. So and so says that so and so is the best dj in the world. Then silverbull jumps on in, rips that person a new asshole, then goes on a 20 year history lesson about house music and then simply states someone else is the best dj in the world. Wash, rinse, then 3 months later, lets start the cycle over again. Its like he has to make sure all the new people who joined in the most recent 3 months has to hear his bullshit.
  13. She probably lives in bumblefuck NJ or deep long island where they only see minorities on TV.
  14. Absolutely. It goes into the history books as the best set I've ever heard.
  15. sigh, this thread was heading in a great direction and now its turned to shit.
  16. This is more than just sasha. This was more than just digweed. It was sasha and digweed on the controls at the same time for half the night, just feeding each other stuff. The layers and the vibe was INSANE. I haven't seen them that energized in a while. It was crazy track after crazy track. Nothing you could really recognize since they were slicing it up so much up there. I've never been in so much awe over a dj performance. Welcome to the next level. All others are just outdated now with their 2 turntables and a mixer.
  17. When they dropped Ryan Yoshimoto - Du What U Du (Trentemoller Mix), the crowd went absolutely nuts. It was cut up, sliced and looped to almost a 10 minute track.
  18. I'm completely in awe. I've never heard anything like that before. Seriously like 4-5 tracks going at once, 2 dj's just feeding each other loops and the place going absolutely nuts til 7am. It was really crazy. I've seen each do their thing alone, but together, they are absolutely nuts.
  19. You are right. Or was it CD1?
  20. soj

    ICE Saturdays?

What kind of crowd is generally at ICE on Saturdays? Thinkin of getting some stage tables for 4/16/2005
  21. Anyone try these recently in the Northeast? Blue pills with beveled edge, flat, kinda thick with a logo of a naked lady on one side?
  22. Ugh! I noticed the same thing! Especially near the back near the smaller stage. I accidentally walked into that area and I swear I blacked out for a few seconds from that foul stench
  23. Behold...the power of good head.
  24. Anything special going on this weekend? Looking for some club tips. I read the updated club review and that was EXTREMELY helpful. We're probably looking for places that play both house/hip-hop since it'll be a mixed crowd. Table service is probably the way we will go. Any recommendations? We were thinking of: Rain/Ice for main part of night Alesium/Drai's for afterhours Are these places still good to go to?
