  1. are you blind, stupid or both moron? check the fucking stickies.
  2. What part of "older" don't you get? The other places are teeming with 18-21 year olds...college types. So yes, 25-29 is oldER.
  3. Kanvas is laid back. Older crowd. Probably mid to late 20's. Staff is very friendly.
  4. Last year, a person smoking in his home was sued by his neighbor. The court and that person agreed to ban him from smoking in his home because the 2nd hand smoke would come out of his window, into his neighbors window and cause bodily harm to his neighbor.
  5. Those of you who are under 21, don't fuck it up for the rest of us. If I find out the party got shut down at 1am cuz of you maggots buying drinks illegally, there's gonna be a riot.
  6. If you take out the trance/tehcno crap, the top 5 looks like this: Sasha John Digweed Hernan Catteneo Deep Dish Erick Morillo Not bad!
  7. EDM is as commercial in Europe as hip hop is in the US. Gangster rap was the most popular in recent years in the US. not everyone likes it but it had the most influence. Trance EDM is the most popular in recent years in Europe. not everyone likes it but it has the most influence. No surprise that the top 3 dj's are trance.
  8. Most guestlists close at 1AM. You shouldn't have line issues as the lines typically move fast at Crobar. Some ppl don't get in with sneakers, others do. It all depends on the mood of the staff. If you have 2 girls, you won't have any problems. Just look presentable or have a good vibe about you. 1000-1500 capacity is actually a "larger" venue in NY (We're crammed for space in Manhattan). There are always a bunch of guestlists available. Stick around here and you'll pick up on a few.
  9. If u want house music and a big venue, go to Crobar over Roxy. The Roxy that night will pretty much be hyper fast trance music in a raver type setting. Crobar has an older crowd and things there are little more upscale. It's also got the better eye candy.
  10. Last i remembered, you can't send 10 ppl to Ibiza for $1500.
  11. I definitely wouldn't put "weather" as a plus in Miami. Sure, 6 months of GREAT weather, followed by the amazonian hot, muggy, rain every day for 2 hours, swim to the club in the humidity days for 6 straight months. I dunno about you, but that is a serious mood swing. If anyone has spent a summer in Miami, you'll know exactly what I'm talkin about. As an illustration, imagine this: It's 104 degrees. 100% humidity Sun is glaring. Suddenly, it rains. And I mean RAIN. Thunder, lightning, flash flooding, etc. 30 minutes later, it's sunny again. And a 106 degrees.
  12. Godlike hand gestures and poses are complimentary though.
  13. That $1500 should include the following: - no waiting on line - private access to top floor - your own table area - $1500 bar tab included which means you can get 5 $300 bottles of liquer - mixers should be free That's how it was when I got table service once for Sasha & Digweed If they don't include the $1500 bar tab, then they seriously changed something and we should all boycott the place.
  14. Probably early next year sometime. He has a month long residency in Japan and he's spending December in Austrailia and Eastern Europe I believe.
  15. you mean thats the makings of great drugs
  16. There are those who like music and there are those who only like house music. Whats there to debate about?
  17. by sticking a curling iron up the ass and jumping in the tub.
