  1. NYC doesn't need cookie cutter clubs that are already established in other cities. What it needs is something fresh and innovative that is all its own. Agree w/ you that the big rooms are lacking these days; especially since Roxy closed. Aside from Mezmor and Pacha, there isn't really any other big room club that is worth going to.
  2. Just announced it during today's game! If everyone could stay healthy, the staff should be looking pretty good in a month's time: Wang Pettitte Clemens Mussina Hughes
  3. Monday - Cielo Tuesday - Sapphire Lounge
  4. Haven't been there in years... The place is huge...many different rooms w/ different kinds of music in each (house, 80s, rock, hip-hop, latin, etc.) Place could definately use a facelift. Crowd is what you'd expect from such a place. No real music heads...mostly a bunch of people who hit a club like once a year. I will admit that I had some good times there (quite a ways back), but I doubt I'd ever consider going back there.
  5. Enjoy! 6. They start releasing Ultra Electro Megamix CDs, Thrivemix Electro, etc... I'm still not sure how anyone can dance to this sound and doesn't wanna bash their head into the wall after a couple of hours b/c it all sounds the same.
  7. Just get bleacher seats. Crowd is way more lively there.
  8. It should be that every girl w/ real blonde hair receives free drinks. Then they'd only have to give out about 10% of the free drinks that they would if they're including all the fake ones out there.
  9. Does anyone here even listen to hip-hop?
  10. You're in luck bro! I know a place that's exactly like Crobar. Same kind of music, same DJs, same crowd, same decor, same owners, and even the same location! It's essentially Crobar with a different (albeit dumber) name. It's called Mezmor.
  11. Electro needs to go the way of the pet rock.
  12. Hahahahah...I was just about to type the exact same thing!
  13. Well, you can always check out Boris @ Cielo. I'm not really a fan, but if he diverts from his typical big room sound, it might be worth checking out.
  14. I can't even remember the last time there was a techno DJ at Crobar...I think it was Picotto, but that was quite a while ago.
  15. No one asked for my opinion. This is a messageboard jackass; people can post what they wish. With that being said, no one gives 2 shits about how exclusive your tracks are. Anybody who knows a thing or two about DJs, knows that the very best ones can thow down a set w/ music from all eras and include different styles of music as well, not just the latest pots and pans junk that you are playing. Also, I think it's hilarious that a nobody such as yourself would go and talk shit about JP. He's not my favorite by any means, but you'd be lucky to ever have 1% of the success that he has had.
  16. Yeah, DT's got nothing on him (sarcasm). You're an idiot.
  17. I went to Sander @ Mezmor on Friday and they had metal detectors there. Nothing wrong w/ trying to keep people safe if you ask me. Only fight I saw was in the side room (former reed room) where hip-hop was playing (no surprise there). And yeah, China Club sucks. I thought that was common knowledge around here. Guess some people need to find out the hard way.
