  1. My thoughts exactly. Gonna be packed and about 120 degrees up in there.
  2. I guess CP actually listened to us since the ad is gone now.
  3. I know that CP needs ads to support itself, but their traffic is probably going to decrease b/c people don't want to deal w/ this shit everytime they click on a link.
  4. That sucks; I've been looking forward to seeing Sander ever since his epic set down @ WMC. Hope he's back soon.
  5. Not sure... But check out DJ Miss Nine (My personal favorite)
  6. If you're over 25, you've likely grown out of JP's parties and have moved on to parties w/ a more mature and musically educated crowd. But if you insist on going, be prepared to party w/ high school kids, regardless if it's 21+ or not. As was already mentioned, anyone can borrow a brother's/sister's ID and won't have much of a problem w/ it.
  7. Agree. Some people are never happy.
  8. So this Serg clown actually plays the main floor until 2am? Good to know so I don't show up too early for the Sander/DeepSpell party.
  9. The MLB steriod testing policy is a joke. They don't even test for HGH. And labs will always be a step ahead of the tests by developing new steroids that are undetectable by the current tests. It's all MLB's fault for letting things get out of control by turning a blind eye to everything. It's sad that every player who puts up big numbers from this point on will always be scrutinized, whether he's using shit or not. What I find kinda ironic though is that back in day, guys like Gaylord Perry were nortorious cheaters, but you don't hear of anyone questioning his Hall of Fame credentials today.
  10. Tuesday - Deep See party @ Sapphire Lounge Wednesday - Roots party w/ Louie Vega and Kevin Hedge @ Cielo Thursday - Serge DeVant and Faarsheed @ Cielo Friday - (not sure yet) Saturday - (not sure yet)
  11. Just another example of how Sox fans have zero class. In order to make up for the fact that they've won 1 World Series title in the past 87 years, they resort to name calling, bitching about the Yankees payroll, and all sorts of other excuses for their past failures. Grow up. Those insults sound like something that middle school students would use to try and put down the Yankees. Practically every Sox fan that I've ever met seems to have this chip on their shoulder and tends to act like an obnoxious asshole. I guess the years of constant failure tend to do that to a person. Also, it's ironic how you guys now bash A-Rod and Damon so much, when in fact, it was YOUR TEAM that dropped the ball on getting them signed.
  12. Best cards I ever got from a pack had to be when I was buying hockey cards back in 1986. My friends and I were really into street hockey and we used to buy hockey cards as well as baseball cards. I pulled a Patrick Roy rookie and a Mario Lemieux second year card from those packs. Also, I pulled a Jerry Rice rookie out of a pack of football cards from the same year I believe. I didn't even know I had it until I was digging through my cards years later. But being that I was into hockey at the time, I traded away the Rice rookie card to someone at school for a Brett Hull rookie card. Still kicking myself for that one.
  13. LOL. That was THE card to have when I was a kid. There were like 4 different versions of that card. The one you see above, one where "fuck face" was scribbled out, one w/ a black box over it, and one with a white box over it. I can remember buying an entire box of '89 Fleer in hopes of getting that card. Never did though. Also, anyone remember all the fuss over the Brien Taylor draft pick card? He was a pitcher in the Yankees minor league system who was supposed to make a huge splash, but never even pitched in the majors.
  14. Yep; he was always offering some kinda "once in a lifetime" buying opportunity on something every week. I used to get a laugh out of hearing his voice; the way he got so enthusiastic about everything. He would be a good car salesman! Guess the card market has really hit bottom since he now does coin shows.
  15. Good article. I collected cards from about 1987 until around 1991. I remember when Topps, Fleer, and Donruss cards were the only ones around. I remember when Upper Deck cards came out in 1989 and I think that was really the beginning of the end of the card industry. We used to pay 40 cents for a Topps wax pack, and then you had Upper Deck cards going for $1.00. Soon afterward, all sorts of junk came out and people began to lose interest. I used to go to card shows almost every Sunday. I ended up trading a bunch of cards away (Mattingly rookie, Canseco rookie, and others plus some cash) for a '64 Mickey Mantle card. I always liked the old cards. I still have that one. Probably the only card I have that has any real value. The others just have sentimental value.

  17. Certain synthetic motor oils such as Mobil 1 Extended Performance guarantee protection for 15,000 miles or 1 year (whichever comes first).
  18. I usually bring my car somewhere to get the oil changed in the winter months, but when it's warm out, I'll do it myself. I'd rather use a good quality filter than the junky ones that most shops tend to use. But that's just one thing that can be done by just about anyone. Others are: Air filter change Fuel filter PCV valve Coolant flush Tire rotation Spark plugs and wires Distributor cap and rotor If you add the cost of all those up by doing it yourself vs. having a shop do it, you'll save a considerable amount of money. Of course, it helps to have a garage or other work area.
  19. If you're not gonna say what you know, then don't even bother mentioning it.
  20. Just learn to work on your own car. Most of the maintenance and minor repairs are not that difficult. Just buy yourself a repair manual for your particular car, and it will walk you through the steps. I've saved thousands this way and know that the work was done correctly.
  21. For all you Sander fans: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7YLK6Z21 Enjoy!
