  1. Roots party (w/ Louie Vega and Kevin Hedge) @ Cielo is always good. Good music, good crowd, good vibe. What more could you want?
  2. Oh I can't sit down in my seat.....when I hear that dirty, filthy beat...... It soundssssssss, mighty mighty sweet...
  3. I take it you don't know the secret knock to get in...
  4. Don't forget about Friday's @ Avalon. Place was off the hook last weekend!!!
  5. I don't think people stop going out b/c they think they're too old for it. What seems to happen is that people get married, have kids, are busy with work, etc. and going out isn't on the top of their priority list anymore. It's almost impossible for me to get any of my friends who are married/in a serious relationship to go out at all. I hope I never turn into that kinda person.
  6. Avalon is done for good. Once a club starts bringing in hip-hop acts, the end is usually near (this is what happened w/ Exit and Spirit).
  7. DT's website/messageboard
  8. As was said, protests won't accomplish much. Hippies protested during Vietnam, and it was the longest war that this country has ever been involved in. If you really want to make your voice heard, vote in November's Congressional elections. A shift of power in Congress will be the key to change. Or you can always organize a revolution...
  9. I'm pretty sure you can buy them on made event's website
  10. For all you Satoshi fans. Enjoy. MEGAUPLOAD - One-Click Webhosting
  11. This is exactly why I tend to avoid these "big name" events. Why the hell would anyone want to drop 50 bucks to stand in a club that is 100 degrees and there is no room to dance? I just don't see the allure in that. Not to mention the fact that they tend to bring out the absolute worst crowds. You get all the little Jersey and Long Island punk asses who ruin the vibe w/ their tough guy attitudes and their horrible dancing skills. There are many other parties around that will have music that is just as good or better.
  12. Good. I'm glad that the cops are cracking down on this kinda shit. The bottom line on drugs is this: if you can't use them w/o acting like a jackass and if you can't be discreet about your use of them, then you should stay the fuck home. Don't come out to a party and ruin it for everyone else who wants to have a good time. No one wants to go to party w/ a bunch of cracked out clowns running around. It kills the vibe and it results in parties getting shut down @ 4am and clubs getting shut down entirely.
  13. Good chance I'll be there...would be my first time seeing him
  14. Great lineup! I just hope Sander actually shows up this time.
  15. Yeah, me either. His music is monotonous and has no funk or soul. Sounds like you're hearing the same track for hours. I believe that a good deal of his success is due to the fact that Crobar does a good job promoting his parties. I don't think he'd last a minute on the international scene. But that's just my opinion. He draws big crowds in NYC, so I'll give credit where it's due.
  16. You may think I'm crazy, but it's true! Check out this picture I snapped @ Avalon last weekend.
  17. Can't believe this whiny bitch is complaining about how he might not win the MVP and then has the nerve to take a shot at Jeter. Glad to see he's so concerned about individual accomplishments rather than good of the team. Nice to see Jeter put him in his place w/ his reply: ESPN.com - MLB - Jeter to Ortiz: Yanks have 'something to play for'
  18. I'd go to that party to hear Lee Burridge only. James Holden is not my bag.
