I ended up going and really liked the place. Small, but very nice vibe and the music was good.

Is Cielo a good choice for a Friday? The fact that they have a prissy French doorman makes it seem more enticing. I am looking to dance, dance, dance - but wouldn't mind meeting some pretty girls in the process. Also, does Cielo scan ID's?

I didn't think she was that good looking personally, and as far as I remmember she was spinning CD's not vinyl. I deff dig the unisex part about the Avalon bathroom though, its about time we stopped being prude in America.

What is good on a thursday night that allows girls that are 18? I know avalon is 18+ for girls, but I went there last friday and although it was a great time I would like to try something different. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I know it says on their website that there is no guestlist, but they do have one. If you get the ticket online, you go through the same person who handles the guestlist. I got mine online when I went, and the dude in front of me was on some staff member's guestlist and they comped him in.

I would have to say that the juiceheads are the worst. At least most of the asians try to dance, not just stand there flexing their pecs.

In my opinion, its not about the number its about the mindset. I know 19 year olds that are "older" than 35 year olds.

You know that I found a club mix '96 the other day in my cd case.....I was listening to EDM when I was 11 years old, I didnt even know what a club or a DJ was back then, I just liked the beat lol. I am covering for someone at the gym so I work till 11 friday night, I am thinking I might try cielo and then stop by spider. PS: Dancing is good for your bone density, now you don't want osteoperosis do you?

They can be deadly. They jack up your heart rate like crazy to start, but due to being in a club you also add lots of heat and sweating, loss of electrolytes, and just the increased cardiovascular activity due to jumping around and you can put yourself in a dangerous situation. If you also combine alcohol (due to it's effect on secretion of ADH in the posterior pituitary gland) and drugs and you are even in worse shape. Think of all the athletes that died from ephedra, they were putting themselves under the same conditions.

I am a young one.....I have lots more energy than you old timers - I can last the whole night from just seeing pretty girls that can dance :-P

If you buy it online on their website it's $20 to get in and you are on the guestlist. Webster hall is better than staying home but its not superb in my opinion.

Nice I will deff check that place out then. There is no way I am going to spend $300 on a bottle though...two beers is all I need for a whole night.

So you mean to say that even if my ID didn't scan (when it should) they would normally let me in? I want to go to crobar but am not sure if I should since they scan. I would make a NJ fake but I don't know anyone that has one for me to look at.

Yeah they surprise many poeple. If you are looking for a progression try two balls, with each hand on one ball. Or take a short straight bar and balance it on the tips of two balls and put your hands on the part of the bar that do not touch the ball. Swiss ball training for my chest helped me put on like 30 lbs on my flat bench in a month or two. Neuromuscular efficiency training is an awesome thing to include in any routine to maximize results.

I thought it was too crowded, I got there around 1:30 and I really could not find space to dance until 4, when some poeple started leaving. Plus there were way too many steroid pumped fake-n-baked guys that just stood there taking up space, not even dancing (well a few of them were flexing to the beat, which I found hilarious). I have no problem with guys sticking needles in their butt (I have lots of friends that do), but why go to a club if you aren't going to dance? I really liked the crowd in Avalon on 8/13 and was hoping for the same thing in spirit.

yeah, I was there with my fake. I don't know how, but he scanned mine and let me pass even though the barcode is madeup and should not scan. What other major places scan?

I went to webster hall last weekend, and used my real ID (I am 19). Everyone knocks on webster hall but it is better than sitting at home. I am not sure if this was a fluke, but the girl that checked my ID smiled and then gave me a bracelet (even though my ID says in big red letters under 21). I did not see too many without bracelets in there, so I am thinking it might be a common thing for them to do.

Do they scan all the IDs in Avalon, or just look at them? Do they have a barcode scanner or just a mag-stripe? Thanks
