David Waxman is in charge of booking at Crobar! David Waxman is a great dj! Man is a beast! Boris has only spun outside of the City when NYC promoters bring him outside of here. Ibiza/UK/Spain/Italy/South America dont know who Boris is, never heard of him, and probably never will Boris does play boring tribal that really doesnt go anywhere Boris packs rooms out because most people dont have a place to go on saturday night to hear good music, so they go to crobar and expect good music....they are kinda fooled!

Friends of mine from Italy and London went down to ibiza and heard ojeda and moraes and morillo and wanted to barf! music was old and said it was not what they liked, but the marketing of "Believe in Boris" and Subliminal Sessions is amazing. Thats why they can pack crobar and guys like Sander K. who after Roger Sanchez is the best resident crobar has and sander cant pack out the place. Like i said Boris isnt a great dj, and saying hes a good dj is also a stretch, BUT the man completes his job to the tee and thats to bring people back to Crobar time and time again. Promoters love this guy cause his fans are very loyal to him. And yes i agree being in crobar for a boris night is like being in SF but just with the same song being played for a good 10 hours

Its Danny Tenaglias record that they "supposidly beat" since i was not their i dont know how much they did. But in defense to Tenaglias birthday party which did 4400 people. They also had to close the doors @ 3 AM due to the fight. and the line was estimated to have about 1000 people their. SO IMAGINE what Danny "could" of been but regardless Boris did his thing and he keeps people coming back. He may not be a "world reknown" dj and probably never will. but he makes the owners of Crobar happy and the promoters cant go wrong by booking him. Yes what he played isnt really classics IMO but they arent new either. Its not like Silence is played every night you go out. Well if it is then shame on the dj/clubs you go to. The boris parties arent about the music. Its about the crowd, the good times, and how fucked up you can get. Fridays are about music with Sander K and Falcon and all the other WORLD SUPERSTAR djs. Doesnt mean Boris plays shit, its just not mindblowing stuff that I say "OMG WHERE CAN I FIND THIS TRACK" Its usually "OMG IVE HAD THIS TRACK FOR ABOUT 5 WEEKS NOW, but its good"

Your being quite biased since if my memory serves me right, dont you book Boris's parties, and work with him. How many djs have you seen other than the Morillo & Boris parties? Are clubs all about the crowd, rather than the music? Cause when i heard Boris it sounded the same...and I heard the guy play Gets Noche What the hell? Thats underground?? I respect him as a business man, cause he definitly struck the jackpot moving over to Crobar, but Crobar is alotta more fun when Boris isnt their because you get to hear music that you dont hear Richie santana, merritt, and boris play. Especially when Sander K., Roger, David, and Victor are their tearing the roof off that club. And ya know the best times ive had was at the "Usual Suspects" parties. With john creamer & stephane K, exacta and mike whitemore, and even your dj, Louie corrales.

how does anyone know that the best soundsystem ever was @ paradise garage? i tend to think that Stereo and Ministry of Sound have the best sound systems in the world. and Spirits system is the best in nyc. great article and very interesting. i think ill send it to my friend who studies at berklee school of music. hes a huge sound buff, being a producer and having his own recording studio and all. not sure if its the same thing, but im sure he will appreciate this.

boris is far from underrated, if anything, hes extremely overrated. you hear the same set of songs just in different order every single party. the only reason ppl go is to get drunk and find the hottest bitches in town. crowd is dope but musically, your trippin to say boris is underrated.
