  1. You have, in fact, said that for a group of 10 guys for bottle service, you give the host about $50. I did exaggerate this a bit. You normally say that you have a group of 17 or 20 guys, and get them right in on 10 minutes of notice. Once again, in a subtle manner, HYPE yourself up to attempt to make yourself look like the superior host. To correct your mistake on the number of clubs that we have lists for, we actually have 10, not 3. ...And for the contradictory portion of your post: In this part of the post, you actually say that you try to generate new clients with your posts on CP, but in the following sentences, you say that you don't rely on CP for business. I'm sure that you don't totally rely on CP, but you do try to get a few extra parties from it every now and again. ... In this part of the post, you say that if you relyed on CP, "I wouldn't be doing for long." I'm quite sure that you get a large number of clients because you are a limo driver, giving you easy access to a vast number of clubgoers, but you still rely on anything that you can to bring new business. We don't rely on Clubplanet for business. The only thing that we rely on Clubplanet for is a way to make our name know to nightclub patrons, industry members, etc. I totally agree with you on this point with one exception. People are looking for info from this message board for clubs, strip clubs, dinners and shows without a sales pitch behind every comment. Once again, you succeed at slipping a bit of hype into your post right at the end to make you look superior. When I first became a member of Clubplanet well over a year ago, I tried the same sales technique and found that people didn't respond to it. I did find that people respond to helpful people and honest responses to their questions. The bottom line is that many hosts are capable of getting the same groups into the same clubs. Are there some hosts who are better than others? Probably, but the only people who can decide that are clients who can compare and contrast. A final comment that I'll make is about your allegation that I am a fly-by-night host in this business for the quick buck. Actually, hosting is not a life-long goal that I have, it is merely secondary for me. I'm actually about to graduate from college, then I'm going to law school. It's always a good thing when I take have a number of parties to take care of, but if I don't, it doesn't hurt me because it's time that I could be using to prepare for law school. When I respond to questions that people ask on CP, I actually read what they ask and answer their questions without adding hype about how my service is better than yours, or some other host. I give people honesty in my responses because if I were in their position, I would expect the same. In all reality, who is really in the hosting business for the quick buck? The way that you respond to postings with your fast-talking, used car salesman techniques, it seems that you are. It is a fact that you have been in the scene for a longer period of time than I have, but does that really matter? I know people too. I don't gloat in my posts about how fast I can get a group into a club. I know, and my past clients know that I can get people into a club quickly, and with ease. As a host, that's what I'm supposed to do. The way I feel is that if people want to use me as a host, that's great. If they choose someone else over me, that's fine. I wish every one of them the best of luck on their vacation, and I hope they have a great time.

We can take care of your party on your trip. Let us know which clubs, or type of atmosphere you are interested in and we can point you in the right direction. Feel free to contact us at mr_vip_lasvegas@hotmail.com
  3. This is true, along with taking care of their cover in some cases. As I've said in numerous posts, we don't charge for this service. We only provide free guestlists as a courtesy to non-paying clients to make their nightlife experience a bit easier. A point that I'm going to bring up is one that has been brought up by others on this message board. Every time you (limodriver) post a comment, it's always hype about how great your service is, and how you walked 50 guys past a group of celebrities in 5 seconds and tipped the doorman $20 for the whole group. In all reality, your responses to any questions asked on this board are never without a bit of hype in your favor, making you look like a used car salesman. I have never made a negative comment about one of your posts because of professional courtesy. This is obviously a courtesy that you don't have. When I put a post up that mentioned the fact that we provide a free guestlist to anyone who asks, in so many words, you came in and said that it's no big deal for us to do that, and your service is better because it's more personal. This really sounds like a description of yourself. I have only seen 1 client put up a review about your service in the time you have been writing on this board. Does that say that you're a bad host? Probably not. Message boards are full of opinions, which don't always speak the truth. As far as relying on doormen or hosts to take care of clients, this is bad business if you are charging for your service. Each and every time we have clients for VIP entry or bottle service, we always meet them at the club to ensure that things go smoothly. Being that you're a limo driver, I'm quite sure that you like dealing with people, but are you really in the VIP hosting business to be a people person? The hype that you write in your posts says otherwise.
  4. Michael, let us know what you need and we will take care of it, and thank you for support.
  5. Michael, you have an e-mail waiting for you. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us.
  6. Every night that Pure is open, it gets too overcrowded to the point where it isn't fun to be there anymore. Rain has lost its pizzaz with the arrival of venues like Pure and Jet. Jet, in our opinion, is your best choice for a Friday. They have 3 rooms which play different types of music, and it is among the top 5 nightclubs in Las Vegas.
  7. Actually, we do provide an obligation-free guestlist for the venues that we have listed. There are no hidden costs in this guestlist service. The only thing that we gain from this is recognition from potential clients who may use our service in the future. The purpose of doing this is just a courtesy to people coming to Vegas. The only time that we charge money to clients is when we actually meet them at a venue when providing hosted entry or bottle service. You or anyone else are more than welcome to use our free guestlists. Just send us 1 name (first and last) for each 5 people in your group, specify which venue(s) you wish to go, and what date and it will be taken care of. Thank you for your concern for other patrons of this site as well as youself. Have a nice day.
  8. Using a VIP host always saves you the headache of waiting in lines, and even dealing with club staff that will blow you off unless you approach them with a $100 bill.
  9. If anyone wants to get on FREE guestlists for Pure, Jet, Seamless, Foundation Room (Monday's), Tangerine, OPM, VooDoo Lounge, and Risque, you can contact us at mr_vip_lasvegas@hotmail.com
  10. This is a very true statement. If a random person calls one of the top 5 venues (Tao, Tryst, Pure, Body English, or Jet) and asks to reserve a table a day or two ahead of time, the club will probably say, "tables...what tables?" This has happened to our clients before. We got a call last night right before 11:00 p.m. to get a table for 8 males at Tao and we were able to reserve the table. A tourist who doesn't know anyone wouldn't be able to do that. As I said in a previous post, it costs a bit more to use a host, but using a host will give you certainty. This is especially important when you make a table reservation.
  11. If you are in town right now, you can go to Tryst tonight. You won't have as much trouble getting in because it's Sunday, but you will still have a good time because there will be a good number of people at the club.
  12. In our opinion, Jet is a larger version of Light with more rooms. The main room at Jet is larger than it seems at Light, and Jet has 2 additional rooms.
  13. We can now provide free guest lists for the following venues: Pure, Jet, Tryst, Seamless, Empire Ballroom, Tangerine, OPM, VooDoo Lounge, Risque, and Club Rio. If anyone would like to get on a guestlist, contact us at mr_vip_lasvegas@hotmail.com
  14. Limodriver is right. VIP lines at nightclubs don't operate like they used to, where VIP's actually get to walk right in. Unless you know someone, or go through a host, you'll probably have to wait in line. The fact that you have tables reserved is irrelevant. The bottom line comes down to who you know.
  15. We couldn't agree with you more. We have saved the weekends of a few clients from time to time who had hosts that couldn't come through. Of the 1,000 hosts in Las Vegas, I'm sure that at least half are good and honorable, but the other half do promise what they can't provide. In many cases, for tourists who don't know better, finding a good host is like a crap shoot.
  16. We have also had good experiences with OPM. We have known the marketing director of OPM since they started so we were always treated well. Masterweb is also a stand-up guy who is always willing to help with whatever he can.
  17. The key word in your post is THURSDAY. It's not a problem to get a group of males into any venue on an "off-night." The challenge is getting that same group of males into the club on a Friday or Saturday.
  18. It is a fact that Tao has one of the most strict policies in Las Vegas on groups of all males, but exceptions can be made. We are actually working on a couple of large all-male groups right now that have been approved. It depends on who you work with, and it also depends on who you know, as Masterweb was saying.
  19. It's been a long time. We remember you from clubvibes.com. Good to see that you're back.

Being that this is a public message forum, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Of course, everyone doesn't always agree. As I said before, part of the fun of Clubplanet membership is the ability to share opinions and/or debate with other members of the nightlife scene in Las Vegas. We will respect your opinions as long as you respect ours, and avoid taking personal shots at us because you do not like or agree with the general content of our posts. We wish you the best of luck in your company. Have a nice day.

    Dj Am

Grandmaster Flash is my personal favorite dj. Everytime he plays in Vegas, I do my best to make it to his shows. I grew up with the new-school b-boys in the late 80's/early 90's so I can really relate to his style.

The Clubplanet message board works a bit like a government would, with checks and balances. If one of us reads a post that we do not agree with, or detect a bit of rhetoric in the message, we chime in and give our take on the situation. I'm quite sure that most, if not all people would agree that multiple points of view on a topic is more helpful to potential clients than a sales pitch given by a biased VIP host who works for a specific company. We are not members of Clubplanet to bicker with other members of the board. Our reason for being on this board is engage in fun, and/or educated discussions about Las Vegas nightlife. As I stated in an earlier post, Clubplanet is what it is...a public message forum where people can communicate. You spend too much time defending yourself when defense is not necessary. Take comments for what they are...opinions. One thing that we do have in common is that I also began as a nightclub promoter, for Club Utopia. Nobody is questioning your "power" to get a client into a venue through guestlists. We only stated that IN OUR OPINIONS, that it is more professional to greet a client at the venue to personally escort them into the club. Being that I worked for multiple nightclubs, I don't trust VIP lists. I know that mistakes are made on a regular basis. Once again, THIS IS A PERSONAL OPINION based on experience. I have to address this portion of your post directly. If you don't feel that it's "professional or mature or necessary to be posting anything negative about anybody else's post," why are you making an attempt to directly dispariage myself, and Mr VIP, with your statment, "It seems some people have nothing better to do then pick at other people's posts. In fact my boss warned me about you when I started, advising me to ignore you. You have a HOTMAIL account, come on." You're boss warned you about us? Is your boss named Connie? As far as our hotmail account that you addressed, lol. The only reason for a hotmail account is for convenience. We can check our e-mail from anywhere in the world as long as we have access to a computer. We are actually in the process of setting up our entire website along with regular e-mail addresses. Even after these addresses are set up, we will still use our hotmail account for convenience. Just to clear up a misunderstanding, we never said that you didn't know what you were doing. On the other hand, you don't show much professionalism in your statements that you make on this PUBLIC message forum. In this portion of your statement, you are very hippocritical. You say that we should stop "duking it out on message boards in front of the very people we are trying to make clients," but you are the one adding fuel to the fire. We stated a general opinion about charging clients for free guestlists, and in rebuttle, you took a direct shot at our company, making a negative comment about our e-mail address, and telling us to "join the big leagues, establish some professionalism," and "suck up the competition." Perhaps you should take your own advice, "join the big leagues, establish some professionalism," and stop taking every post so personal. At this point in time, your negative attitude is preventing you from being competition to any of the hosts on Clubplanet. We have been frequent posters on Clubplanet for a long time. It would be great if everyone could get along with each other.
  23. What do you want to know about Tao or Tryst? We can help you with anything you need at both of those venues.

We don't believe in charging clients to be put on a free guest list. It doesn't matter if you know who to talk to or not, there is still a chance of a mistake happening. For those of us who go to these venues on a regular basis, we know how busy they get night after night. If you do get on a VIP list, whether you paid for it or not, there is a chance that you won't get in. In order for a bouncer to let in people from the guestlist, they have to get the bouncer's attention. If you can't get his attention right away, you'll be stuck waiting next to the rope until he sees you. We provide free guestlists to people, but not for Tao because they are too picky about who goes on their lists. Being that Tao is one of the top 5 nightclubs in Las Vegas, it can be difficult to get into on a Saturday night depending on the event, and the size of your group. It is true that if you're a group of all males, it will be tougher to get in than if you were a group of all females. If you use a host, depending on the host, you shouldn't have a problem. If you have a large group of males, you will most likely be required to purchase a few bottles. We have taken groups of males to Tao in the past without a problem. There are a number of us on the board who can give you good advice that can be helpful. Just ask and you shall receive.
