  1. Tao discourages groups composed of all males to show up to their venue. However, if you were willing to purchase enough bottles, we could take care of you. If you want more info, contact us at mr_vip_lasvegas@hotmail.com
  2. That would be a definite upgrade. I worked for Curve when they first opened at the Aladdin, when it was actually good. Since that time, I have seen it take a nose dive straight to the bottom of the nightclub food chain. It would be great if Crobar or Space took over. It might be a respectable venue again.
  3. That schedule looks like a good lineup.
  4. On Tuesday nights, Studio 54 normally plays a mix of top 40, house, and old-school disco until about 2:00 a.m. After 2:00 a.m. the nightclub is dedicated to all house and other techno.
  5. At this point in time, the top venues in Las Vegas are: Tao, Tryst, Pure, Jet, and Body English. Tao is arguably the best nightclub in Las Vegas, but the others that I mentioned are very comparable. If you interested in reserving bottle service at one of these venues, we can assist you. Contact us at mr_vip_lasvegas@hotmail.com
  6. As far as afterhours spots, Seamless is quickly becoming very popular. We went to the grand opening Monday night a couple weeks ago and it was slammed after being open for an hour. What's unique about the afterhours is that while the afterhours nightclub is going on, the two VIP rooms are dedicated to strippers and lap dances. This is convenient if someone gets tired of dancing and they feel like a stripper. Seamless takes care of both needs in one building.
  7. I will offer the same favor to you that I offered to another with the same question. If you send me an e-mail with the size of your group (total males and females), what days you planned to go out, the type of venues and music that you're looking for, I'll send you a complete rundown on the best places for you to go. You can contact us at mr_vip_lasvegas@hotmal.com
  8. You can send us an e-mail at mr_vip_lasvegas@hotmail.com Be sure to include information about your party, such as the number of males and females, the type of music you were looking for, and the possible venues that you already considered and we'll go from there.
  9. If you need assistance setting up a "schedule" for next week, and/or making VIP reservations, we can assist you. You can contact us at your earliest convenience.
  10. You'll be highly impressed. They have redone the entire venue since it was La Bete so you won't even be able to recognize it. On top of the beautiful, plush decor on the inside, they also expanded the area outside and added more tables around the lake. I'm positive that you will enjoy your time at Tryst.
  11. What is your experience with Tryst? Good? Bad?
  12. Which is the better club to be at on a Sunday night, or any other night: Body English or Tryst? Please include any comments or reasons that you have for making your choice.
  13. "Flow" Wednesdays are always good at Vivid. We have stopped by a couple times to check out the scene and it was always good. Dj Phaness is a great hip hop dj. He's been spinning hip hop in Las Vegas for a number of years and is pretty well known in town.
  14. Of all the nightclub events that have come about in Las Vegas, Soundbar has always been one of my favorites. When I was brought into the club scene by Lucid Entertainment (Brian and Jimmy Foster), I was lucky enough to get introduced to a number of venues and events. Some of those events and venues have become relics of the past, such as S.I.N. night at House of Blues, Baby's at the Hard Rock, and the late Club Utopia. Some, like Studio 54 have lived on, and others, such as Soundbar, have been reincarnated. When I was new to the club scene as a promoter, every night was exciting because we would club-hop every night to promote for Utopia. The best night of the week for me was Thursday. We would normally start at Baby's, and end our night at Soundbar. Another part that made the Soundbar experience so much better for me was that it brought out all of the dancers and the true clubgoers in the scene. It was truly a place to relax listen to the music.
  15. It is true that Club Utopia is a remnant of the past. It is also true that Club Utopia was one of the pioneers in Las Vegas that helped mold nightlife into what it is today. This comment that you made is like telling someone that Grandmaster Flash and Run DMC are "played out" because this is 2006 and not 1986. Speaking badly about a pioneering venue makes you look ignorant. If this is the case, then electronic dj's, such as Paul Oakenfold, wouldn't get paid $30,000 every time they spun a 2 hour set. Also, if this really were the case, Ice would have been closed down a long time ago. Instead, Ice has a full parking lot every time they are open. Perhaps it is your opinion that electronic music isn't popular, but as we all know, opinions are not fact. Opinions are what they are, only opinions.
  16. Utopia is the club that brought me into the nightlife industry so it will always be special to me. I got my start as a promoter for Utopia about 5 years ago, and it was that stepping stone that led me to become the VIP host that I am today. There are so many memories that I have from Utopia that stick out in my mind. The best memories that I have are when some of us who worked for the club would stay until closing time and then drive home when the sun was up. That would always symbolize a great night at Utopia.
  17. This Utopia weekend reunion will certainly bring back a lot of old faces and give the new faces a taste of what Las Vegas nightlife used to be like. We are definitely looking forward to this experience, as well as seeing a lot of old friends.
  18. Welcome to the board.

    Utopia

This is a perfect description of the memories that I have of the late Club Utopia. Almost everytime I left Utopia to go home for the "night" the sun would be at full blaze. Utopia is the place where I got my start in the Las Vegas club scene as a clubgoer, as well as a promoter which provided me with the knowledge and contacts needed to be an effective VIP host. If Utopia is having a reunion party or a weekend event, I will definitely check it out.
  20. Seamless is a very sophisticated venue who's innovation will most likely bring about a new wave stripclub/nightclub hybrids to the city of Las Vegas. The building is 4 stories tall, but the upper 3 floors are an indoor valet garage. The 10,000 sq foot entertainment floor of the venue makes for an intimate setting with small tables spread out throughout the room. The sizeable main stage is located at the back of the venue, which during strip club hours, is attached to the main bar by a catwalk. During the afterhours event which is held nightly, the catwalk is raised up to the ceiling to provide afterhours patrons more room for dancing on the main floor. Seamless also comes complete with two VIP lounges. The main VIP lounge is located at the back of the room directly behind the main stage. People who who are allowed access to this VIP lounge get to enjoy a rear view of the performances through the one-way-glass mirror that separates it from the main room. The other VIP lounge located on the right side of Seamless is separated from the main room by a metal beaded curtain. As far as the ladies of Seamless are concerned, they will definitely turn a head or two. Although these ladies may not have the usual over abundance of silicon breasts as most strip clubs do, the make up for that lack of silicon with their tantalizing stage tricks. For those of you who do like silicon, there are always a few in the club. Any group bachelor party males would be quite happy with this venue.

    line pass?

Also a very good point. Paper passes don't work on Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July weekend, Halloween weekend, or New Year's Eve weekend, not to mention special events (e.g. special dj's).

    line pass?

It is true that passes do work, sometimes. There are two types of passes that are distributed. One type of pass, entitled "VIP Entry," allows the cardholder or the cardholder plus one guest to get into the club for free. The other type of pass, entitled "Line Pass," allows a cardholder or the cardholder plus one guest to enter through a VIP line (not necessarily "the" VIP line where people get in fast), but they still have to pay cover. There are two unattractive points about using "VIP passes:" 1.) VIP pass holders still have to wait in line (unless card says line pass). The terms "VIP Entry" mean exactly that you will walk in like a VIP for free after you wait in line. For those of you who have been to Pure, or at least walked by it when it was open, you have seen that the general admission line is at least 3 or 4 hours long. VIP passes should not be used on a major night (Fridays or Saturdays) at a major venue like Pure, Tao, Jet, or Tryst for this reason. If you see that the VIP line looks to be an hour long, you won't have much luck using a paper pass to gain VIP access. 2.) In many cases, "VIP passes" specify days that they are good for. Some of the passes specify nights that are actually popular such as Thursday or Friday, but others are only good for an "offnight" of a venue, like Tuesdays. Rain used to print VIP passes that were good on Thursday and Friday, but not Saturday. Other venues print VIP passes that are only good during the week, but not on Friday or Saturday. Body English had a VIP entry pass that was good for Sunday, but excluded Friday and Saturday. On the other hand, they had another pass that was good for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. To all who are interested in "VIP passes," here is our summary of things to look out for before purchasing passes: 1.) If the pass says "VIP entry," it means that you get in free after you wait in the general admission line. It the pass says "Line pass," you will have to pay cover, but you won't have to wait in a line that is as long as the general admission line. 2.) If it is Saturday, and the pass you are thinking about purchasing says any other day other than Saturday, don't buy it. 3.) Look for any expiration dates listed on the passes. Passes at some venues do have them. 4.) Look for limitations listed on pass (e.g. VIP entry before 12:00 a.m.)
  23. Greenie, thank you for positive testimonial. Unfortunately, we were not able to attend either opening due to prior engagements on both nights. We do know a number of people who went to the soft opening of Jet. Some said that Jet was very nice, while others said that it was like a bigger version of Light and that they would never party there. We are going overseas for a couple weeks to make a number of long distance contacts, but after we return, we will be able to attend both clubs an submit detailed posts for people to read.
  24. Firstly, we, at Mr VIP, wanted to wish everyone a great weekend and a Happy New Year. Secondly, we wanted to clear up an issue before the start of the new year that has began to get out of hand. As we all know, freedom of speech is a constitutional right in this country, but to a certain extent. Within the recent months, our company has been subjected to a number of libelous statements made by a few members of the this message board. The comments that were made by these members were written solely for the purpose to damage the reputation of Mr VIP, and without having any reasoning or basis to do so. There are a large number of VIP hosts in Las Vegas. Some of these hosts are legitimate and do, in fact, have the power that they claim to have while other hosts are just pretending. Of course, there is no way to prove whether or not a VIP host is legitimate by merely talking to them via e-mail, telephone, or in person. The only way to prove legitimacy is through a first hand experience. We have stated in our previous posts that everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. In order for a person to make an educated opinion, that person should probably base their opinion on real facts instead of blindly making libelous statements such as, "you're a fraud," or "you're a rip-off." We have also stated that if anyone was unhappy with our service in the past, they probably would have mentioned it on the message board. In each of our posts, we try to provide good feedback to threads that have been written by others, along with writing our own informational posts for others to read. If anyone would like to discuss an issue that they have with our company, we would be more than happy to address them. If these individuals would like to post a statement about our illegitimacy, we would ask that these statements be backed up with some sort of concrete fact or example based on a personal experience. We thank you for taking the time to read this message. We enjoy reading posts on the board, as well as submitting our own posts for others to read. Happy New Year Mr VIP
  25. Studio 54 reopened their doors to patrons last night after their construction hiatus. What has changed? Entrance: For those of you who have been to Studio 54 in the past, you remember how the downstairs entry used the same door as the exit. The entrance into the club has now been moved all the way to the expanded right side of the club, which allows you to walk through an elegant hallway before you actually enter the club. Also, the new entrance lets its patrons into the club by the downstairs bathroom. VIP Section: The VIP section has been expanded out to the rail that overlooks the downstairs dancefloor and a new rail has been added. Brand new couches and booths have also been added which gives the club more table and seating space. The bar in the VIP section has also been renovated, leaving in in the same place, but making it a different shape. A few more tables have also been added to the dancefloors on the second story of the club. Overall: The new renovations that Studio 54 have taken on were needed to bring life back into the club. Will they work? Only time will tell. All of the renovations are quite classy, but it does look like they didnt' finish because they left half of the club with the same old rails, furniture, and layout of the past.
