  1. In your opinions, which Las Vegas venue (nightclub / lounge / afterhours) has the worst reputation for not paying their employees???
  2. We'll definitely come out to support a new night at Ice. We have always enjoyed Ice and we're happy that it is still succeeding amongst all of the corporate-owned venues in casinos.
  3. With all due respect, if I were a potential client that needed VIP service and I read a post that was debating whether or not the practices of a venue are fair, just, or ethical, I would be quite intrigued. Most of us contributing to this message board do, in fact, give helpful advice to clubgoers whether it be an itinerary for their weekend, advice as to where to reserve a table, etc. Clubplanet is what it is... a message board where people are free to give opinions. There is a certain limitation on what people should say, especially people who work in the industry, to maintain a certain professionalism, but what was said in this thread was not unprofessional. They were merely statements of strong opinions. From experience, I know that old clients, new clients, and potential clients would much rather know the harsh truth as opposed to being lead astray with rhetoric. Among all things, honesty is the most professional characteristic a client can expect and certainly appreciate.
  4. I got my start in the club scene as a promoter a good number of years ago so I can really relate to this situation. As far as I'm concerned, if they get paid at all, they're lucky. I got shafted my fair share of times at more than one nightclub. Clubs are probably a bit more honest than they used to be about paying promoters what they are owed, but a venue paying promoters on a per-card return basis is still working on the honor system. In most cases, a promoter has no way of knowing how many of their cards came back to the club except when the club says "you got 20 returns." How does the promoter know that It wasn't 100? I heard inside stories about club managers telling the payroll people in charge of paying street teams to pay them for only half of their card returns. It could have been a false story, but experience would tell me that it was true.
  5. We can provide you with VIP service, and/or free guest list to a number of venues. You can e-mail us for more info at mr_vip_lasvegas@hotmail.com

    Vegas Review

Mr VIP??? I think that someone must have gotten a name wrong because we're Mr VIP, and have been for a long time.
  7. Everyone should check out the new Tuesday night at Tao in the downstairs lounge. We went this past Tuesday for the opening and liked the potential. The crowd was a little thin, but there was a good vibe in the room. Of course, this event won't bring in the 4,000 people that Pure pulls on a Tuesday, but it can supplement as a pre-party.

    Vegas 6/17-21

It's true that Light isn't one of the top 5 nightclubs anymore, but it is still a good spot to go. No matter what people think, they still pack they club every night that they are open.
  9. Tao or Tryst are both good options on a Thursday night.
  10. I would have to say that I am on your side Masterweb. Being in the nightclub business also, we always make it a priority to keep people happy. On one side, we have to keep our clients happy by providing them the service that they paid for, but on the other side, we have to keep our contacts happy at the nightclubs. It is true that employees of popular venues get a bit of an attitude from time to time, but that's the way this game works. We have dealt with our share of "deputies" at venues in Las Vegas, but we have found that the best way ot deal with things is by being professional as opposed to showing muscle.
  11. If you are a person who loves electronic music, Ice is your mecca.
  12. Tryst and Tao are both good on Thursday. If you are going with friends, I would suggest Tao. If you are going with some females who you want to impress and set a mood, I would suggest Tryst.
  13. Has anyone seen the crowds at Pure lately? The $175 fee can be justified in the eyes of a lot of people if it lets them skip that line.
  14. It is true that prices can get quite expensive, depending on the size of the party, whether or not you are reserving a table, and the venue that you are trying to get into. An important question to ask yourself if you are a tourist is...could you get into the venue by yourself without any assistance? Another question to ask yourself is...could you get a table reserved by yourself at a top nightclub without any assistance? If the answer to either one of these questions is no, the money paid to a host is justified. If you pay a host to get you into Pure, and he does get you in, you got exactly what you paid for.
  15. lol... I was just about to ask the same question. Aren't these the venues that won't accept large groups of guys unless they're spending money? In most cases, Body English and Tao won't even accept large groups of guys for table reservations.
  16. In order to tell you options, it would be helpful to know how many males will be in your party. Some venues get picky about taking care of large groups of males, but exceptions can be made. The top afterhours spots in Las Vegas at this time are Empire Ballroom and Seamless. Both are great, but the classification of "best" would depend on the type of vibe you like. Between Jet and Tao, we always send clients to Tao based on the vibe of the venue. Jet has 3 rooms and plays 3 types of music, but is very crowded and upscale. Tao also has multiple rooms with multiple types of music, but the vibe seems more laid back. We enjoy Tao more than the other venues in town because, even though it gets packed, there is still room to move about.
  17. We are an independent hosting service in Las Vegas that works with all of the top venues. If you need any assistance, we will be able to take care of your party. If you can let us know the number of males and females in your party, we will be able to give you some options for your trip. We can be contacted at mr_vip_lasvegas@hotmail.com
  18. Perhaps I wasn't clear in my last post. I am commenting on the afterhours side of Seamless that starts after 4:00 a.m., and not specifically the strip club hours. We actually have been there since the opening and although we agree that the environment is different from other afterhours spots, it still draws a good crowd. You mentioned that you got to the club one night and couldn't find a seat. Isn't it the goal of every club to be packed? We're sorry that you had a bad experience with seating and employees, but maybe it was just an "off" night. We have always had good experiences, and been treated very well by the hosts and managers of Seamless.
  19. It is true that Rain and Studio 54 aren't what they used to be, but we have to respect what these venues have done for the Las Vegas club scene, especially Studio 54. We would not have venues like Pure, Tao, Tryst, Jet, or Body English if it wasn't for clubs like Studio 54 and Rain.
  20. Tryst and Tao are both great venues for a bachelorette party. Tryst seems like it is more geared towards females, in the sense of beauty. Part of the venue is outdoors, with a railing overlooking the man-made lake, along with the 90 foot waterfall. If you wanted, it could even be arranged to reserve a table outside.
  21. I saw DJ Dan at Club Utopia a few years ago. This will be a show to look forward to.
  22. lol. This is why people would rather pay a host instead of having to deal with the hassel.
  23. I have to disagree with this comment. We went to the grand opening of the Monday night afterhours at Seamless and it was slammed within the first hour. They have a great turnout of patrons, which include not only tourists, but also a large number of people who work in the scene. Seamless is a beautiful venue that has beautiful dancers, great music, and a great crowd.
  24. The big question here is...how many males will be in your party. Some venues get sticky about large groups of males, even if you are reserving bottles. For a Saturday night, any of the top 5 venues (Tao, Tryst, Pure, Jet, and Body English) are good. Here is a brief description of the top 5 venues to help with your decision: Tao -multiple levels -3 types of music -crowded venue, but you still have room to move about semi-comfortably Pure -36,000 sq foot venue -multiple rooms, including the Pussycat Dolls Lounge -3 types of music -enormously packed (Friday's and Saturday's pull in close to 6,000 patrons) Body English -small venue -2 levels, but only 1 type of music -also enormously packed (comparable to a mosh pit) Tryst -velvet decor -part indoor / part outdoor- balcony overlooks manmade lake and waterfall -beautiful people (seems like a venue geared to find a mate, instead of a place to have a bachelor party) Jet -3 rooms -3 types of music -very packed venue, but not quite as bad as Pure and Body English We hope this will be helpful to you.
