This may or may not work depending on the club you are trying to get into. Ask the door guy how you can get in without waiting. If he says to take care of him then pay him. If he says that you can't, don't waste your money. This will only work at some clubs. At the bigger clubs like Pure, it is a hassle to get up to the doorman that you would pay. THIS WILL NOT WORK ON SPECIAL EVENTS! Don't walk up to a doorman on New Year's Eve and ask him to take care of you. He'll tell you to go buy a ticket and wait. This is why people use VIP hosts. Hosts take the uncertainty out of this equation.

I remember that also. I still run into him and his girlfriend on occasion. Utopia was a good club until all of their customers were taken by all of the other clubs in town. The good news is that it has been reincarnated with the opening of the Empire Ballroom afterhours.

Tao is arguably the best nightclub in Las Vegas at this point in time. After going to Tao for the first time, it immediately became our favorite venue in Las Vegas. We send a good number of clients to Tao on a regular basis and have had great reviews. If you are looking for a nightclub to spend New Year's Eve, we would suggest Tao. As far as 12/29, 12/30, 1/1, and 1/2, there are a number of other alternatives. The brand new venue, Jet, will be opening at the Mirage on New Year's weekend. We weren't able to attend the industry opening, but we were told that Jet is a small (compared to Pure and Tao), but it is very nice. There are 3 separate rooms which will play 3 different types of music. Tangerine at the T.I. is also a good choice. It is a smaller venue but there is never a shortage of people. There is also a balcony that overlooks the Las Vegas strip. There are a number of venues that you would be happy with. I totally agree. As I stated in a previous post, this is a reminder to many of us of how Club Utopia used to be. The venue has a perfect layout for an afterhours, or any other nightlife event. The main room is a great size with a good amount of seating for bottle service on the lower and upper levels, along with a large dance floor.

In order to get into any nightclub without waiting in line, it will be necessary for you to pay the doorman. Depending on what club you want to go to, the size of the tip will fluctuate, but the base tip will be at least $30. This doesn't guarantee that you won't have to pay cover. At many of the more popular clubs in Las Vegas, a tip will merely get you past the line but doesn't include your cover charge.

This is why we like being up front and honest with everyone that we speak with, especially on the message boards, to prevent comments like this from being directed at our service.

At this point in time, Tao is arguably the best nightclub in Las Vegas. This is our favorite club to send clients to. On New Year's weekend, Jet and Tryst will be making their debut to the Las Vegas club scene. Also, the brand new venue, Seamless, had its grand opening a few nights ago. For those of you who don't know, Seamless is a gentlemen's club until 4:00 a.m. After 4:00 a.m., the venue is converted to an afterhours nightclub that runs till about 11:00 a.m. The best thing about the afterhours event at Seamless is that it runs every night of the week.

With Victor Drai in charge of La Bete, a.k.a. Tryst, they will continue to charge locals and everyone else that they can. Smaller clubs have to remember that if they don't take care of their locals, locals can be very detrimental to their business. They are not only detrimental physically by not going to that certain venue, but they can also give bad "word of mouth," which can go a long way. There are a great number of locals who take their out-of-state friends out to clubs on a daily basis. Personally, if I was a non-industry local and my friends asked me to take them to the "hotspot," I definitely wouldn't take them to a club that I was mistreated at.

We just returned a while ago from the VIP opening party of the Studio at the Palms hotel. For those of you who don't know, the Studio is the brand new recording studio built inside of the new tower of the Palms. This place was incredible. There were 3 fully loaded recording studios with state-of-the-art equipment, a full movie theater with gorgeous room-length couches, multiple luxurious suites. The enourmous master suite, located downstairs came complete with its own indoor jacuzzi which was a small part of the spaciously laid out living room. This master suite also came with its own half court basketball gym. To accompany the gym was an NBA-style locker room and shower. On the upper loft level was the game room that over looked a living area and the basketball court. The game room included a stainless steel pool table and a Playstation 2 hooked up to a plasma T.V. Also on the upper level were numerous chairs and couches along with another suite. There were a great number of attendees at this event. Most of which were people who work behind the scenes in the recording industry, but there were also a few celebrities in the crowd. A few of the celebs who graced this opening with the likes of Lance Bass, Hulk Hogan, Carmen Electra, etc. This studio should be expected to bring some major players in the music industry to Las Vegas.

Jet is following in the footsteps of Pure, having their grand opening on New Year's weekend. Unfortunately, it is only 15,500 sq feet, but it should still be a popular venue. Having 3 separate rooms with 3 types of music is a definite selling point that will attract a good crowd.

This will be a great event that is well worth the money.

If you're looking for more mainstream, Tao is definitely the choice. As far has hip hop, there is no other club in Las Vegas that compares with OPM.

Tao is quickly becoming the best nightclub in Las Vegas. It is niether a "mold of Pure" or an ultra lounge. Tao is a restaurant/nightclub combination with the restaurant being located on the bottom 2 stories and the nightclub located on the upper 2 stories. There is also a lounge located on the lower floor that is very intimate. The type of music played in the main room on is mainly top 40 mixed with some electronica and occasional rock. The mood in the lounge is set by mainly house or some form of it along with top 40. Of the nights that you listed, Saturday will be the busiest due to the New Year's Eve holiday. Thursday will be the most calm in comparison to the other days. On a general night, bottle prices start at $325 and the bottle ratio is 4people per bottle. For the New Year's weekend, bottle prices will definitely be increased along with bottle minimums. Bottle service is always best at a top venue because it allows you to have your own private space amongst the ocean of clubgoers.
