  1. and then we can go drinking with the newsteam for 2 days....
  2. Serge is the best opening DJ for all the big trance DJs.... saw him headline at Avalon, he got too drunk and was terrible for 3 hours.... trainwreck after trainwreck.... keep the vodka away from him, damn russian! hhaaha
  3. this names floating around too... JON FUGLER :: "this is not miami" (Sander K mix) not sure if Sander K bought the rights to the vocals, thus makin it his original song 100% but dunno haha... just picked it up last week, its TOO bangin
  4. didnt JP have to be innovative enough to bring these songs out to dancefloor in the first place?.... why werent you hating on him then for bringing (what you now think) to you good *NEW* music?.... to be reluctant for change in music means youre yearning for a past you cant have again.... why can so many DJs enjoy hard tech that he used to play years ago, but have no idea who newER DJs in the scene of tech and dark shit (Sander Van Doorn, Austin Leeds & Kobbe, DJ Preach, Eric Sneo, Frank Biazzi, E-Craig, Valentino Kanzyani, Mac Zimms, Mojado)... cmon, all of their music is just amazing, progressing, and breaking boundaries in the EDM scene... they maintain that dark, hard, agressive attitude that can get ne New York dancefloor going crazy .... why would you hate on them just because youve never heard their music before? (and im not talking about some E-Craig song from 1999 that JP might have played, or the Biazzi collab with Tiesto).... whats wrong with new music, do you always have to hear the same music?
  5. some people on this site need to trip into a puddle of AIDS... may all your genetilia ache you when you urinate im still searching for your point..... brb...... nope didnt find it........
  6. like three of them i just met that night.... gotta look deep into the archives of Myspace for a pic of the complete crew lol i await further criticism on whatever pic i post then too.... people like to talk around here (its a pic thread, you fucks)
  7. its better to be a hardworking DJ than on some DJs dick (another hairgelled face in the crowd)... nd dont you dare react to me as a DJ like u did this guy, because i dont want to have to take out my resume' for you.
  8. i dont see ne1 preaching... hes giving us links to videos to watch if we want (i found them interesting), not shoving them down our throats.... for the record, Trance Addict NY board is just as one-sided as every other board... its basically "go Sasha or Sander K or John Digweed or go home"... i love Sander K, but when u say something bad about the other two, youre criticized for "being too young to understand real music"
  9. exactly.... the set i heard this on, it started like this... SONG1.... mix SONG1 into SONG2.... take hi-freqs off SONG2 while bringing hi-freqs of SONG3.... bring in SONG4 (while letting go of SONG1 from the mix) which was a very minimal song.... and voila, he did this probably 2 times in the set, and its just crazy bc you can hear him almost slip a couple times but he saves it.... Eddie Halliwell is another DJ that does that A LOT but with CDs (its still hard though, dont get me wrong)
  10. MIX1 is more of an energetic progressive and trance journey with some tech'd out moments here and there MIX2 (i think more of you will like this one) starts out with tribal and tech, with some trancier tunes here and there but an overal dark tech vibe throughout ....to download, go to the bottom, DOWNLOADS SECTION, because in the actual media player, MIX2 only plays to the 15th minute for some reason, not sure why.... if you like them, my older mix is also available for download there too
  11. SLS presents: (A)LIVE mixed by DJ Eco CLICK HERE FOR DOWNLOAD LINK (scroll down) This is my newest mix for April. I really tried to capture my live sound. When I sat down to play this set, I decided to try and pack a 3 or 4 or 5 hour set of mine into two 80 minute mixes. This contains the true sound of what I play like when I'm live, everything from loops to live edits and then some. With part one, I tried to put together a really progressing set, and I tried to pretend I was playing a real club set so in the "A:LIVE" mixes, you will hear my signature live sound from start to finish. Part two, I tried to change it up a little bit, I tried some new tricks with the help of Abelton Live, Fruity Loops, and Acid Pro, as well as the Pioneer EFX-500 box. CD1: the sound of the dancefloor 1. NEW ORDER :: "waiting for the sirens' call" (Planet Funk mix) 2. ARTIFICIAL FUNK :: "never alone" (Funk Agenda & Trophy Twins mix) 3. LOVE MACHINE :: "poison" 4. 12. ^^amen, with the Carl Cox part... although his sets as of late havent been anything to cry home about... i enjoy sets of his from ten, fifteen years ago... his live @ Crobar (Chicago) CD out on Moonshine Records like 6 or 7 years ago was insane... but yeah back to the JP discussion... ppl are so quick to say "JP knows how to work a track", the dont know that other DJs can do just as much, AND MORE with less equipment.... bringing Carl Cox back into the mix... ive heard sets where he has straight up 4 records going on at the same time... you dont need to loop a track and put an acapella over it for it to be "working a track"... Carl Cox is the real deal...
  13. Ferry Corsten's L.E.F. parties were the best.....
  14. its tuff to just break into the scene like that, especially in this city.... i suggest trying CRAIGSLIST.com, new venues, small bars and lounges sometimes advertise tryouts or interviews here and there, check it out... i know several bartenders were fired from AVALON so you can give it a shot there, call them up i guess?
  15. thats a good assumption.... 18+ will def sell out, thats safe to say, and 21+ will probably be just as packed, maybe a little less... they really played their cards right this time, since a lot of us college students have off friday, so theyre making some sick money, as always
  16. exactly, its not Sunday driving music but when youre there dancing, its a whole other story
  17. am i one of the few that thinks vinyl is a lot easier than CDs?... i play CDs for not-enough-money-for-weekly-import-vinyl purposes, and not much else
  18. yep, i figured that, altho i wasnt completely sure if you were only talking about Pacha or IBiza in general... thanks for clarifyin tho
  19. ive come to the sad truth that people see JP with so much equipment that they think hes doing insane stuff.... they have the false notion that hes using all the equipment.... its easy to loop and you need one instance of Abelton Live (with one monitor) and an FX box and youre good to go..... in this picture (and another one that goes along with it, in which u can see the other monitor), he has three monitors going on.... a real DJ knows you dont need three instances of Abelton Live running.... one is more than enough to "work" a track, and all DJs that use Abelton only need that one version of it working and not three.... lets see the JP n00bs hate on me with this one
  20. Sasha James Zabiela Richie Hawtin Paul Woolford Marco Bailey if you wanna see a DJ work a track, you n00b, ill even give you a link to show you exactly how some1 like James Zabiela gets down.... the dudes a beast
