1. Promoters who book DJs only cuz they either friends wit em or cuz they think they will bring in a crowd. Book a DJ for his skills

2. Bullshit Politics

3. Better theme party ideas. Sooo many good theme partys overseas that would be great for NYC

I TOTALLY agree all the way...!!I see that nYC only holds parties to those that are resident or "friends"...yet no exposure is shown for international talent...to help broaden musical talent...all i see here are threads about JP JP JP..? ...how the ???He is SOOO OLD NEWZ!!!

I have nothing against him but what has he really contributed?

The most massive k-hole to history while playing OTHER dj's records??LOL

Ni99 PLEEZ!

If it werent for drugs I think he'd clear out a club in minutes..thats why hes only known to his few local pillpoppers n snorting fans here in the tri state...

There is so much talent OUTSIDE of this...its a shame..and thats what has to be changed. Different parties, a nice festival, some international dj's!!!!SOMETHING DIFFERENT PLEEEEEZZZ!!!

1. More weekly residencies with big Dj's

2. Bottles of water going back to 5$ or less

3. More options for food or snacks available, like exit used to have with the grill.

Theres other things but these are just a couple little that came to mind.

1.) Def more DJ Talent (MTV, Mark Knight, Clamaran, , to name a few)

2.) No more 18 plus parties, (We all payed out 18-20 year old dues, no NYC club should be 18 to get in, make them wait untli there 21)

3.) Door policy, Just dont let people in who come for one purpose and one purpose only, "To get fucked up" I cant tell you how many drunk or drugged up idiots I see every nite. All fucked up, they have no idea who or where they are, or what they are doing. Dropping drinks on someone or even dropping dead. Throw these people out ASAP.

Loose the 20 Dollar Plus Cover Charges! If a local or a no name that we all know is barely getting paid gas money there is no need for an outrageous cover charge even at bigger events with bigger names as well.

Back to basics! Arc, Shelter, Filter 14, Turnmills, these are all clubs that I ihave been to that I felt have/had the right formula, make it purely about music the dj and his/her fans! You shouldn’t have to do your best runway and put on you fanciest duds to get inside a party. If you want to by bottles I can recommend a lot of good liquor stores!

We need a good weekly residency. Like him or not Sound Factory (Just an example) and Jonathan Peters were always there. And every now and again I would swing by maybe once a month or so but it was always there. Danny Tenaglia and Vinyl were always there! Body and Soul was always there! You always knew what you were getting at these parties and if it was your cup of tea always got your moneys worth. I personally think it’s time for Djs like Peter Bailey, or The Low End Specialists to have a quality Fri/Sat night weekly!

1. Door policy: 18+ for ladies, 21+ for guys with dates or guys with reservations, 23+ for guys. This sounds arrogant, but I just hate it when the ratio of guys to girls @ Spirit is 5 to 1 and there aren't any single girls.

2. Overcrowding: This is mostly a problem @ Crobar on Saturdays, you can barely move. Although I am willing to withdraw this if my door policy gets enforced and I end up rubbing mostly against women.

3. Place to sit: Again, this is a huge problem @ Crobar, and @ Pacha too. Even though people are supposed to go there to dance, it's relatively hard to stay on your feet for several hours straight. Also making out is usually more pleasurable when your date sits on top of you :)

1. Bottle service/VIP area taking up a bunch of space in clubs

I know everyone would like a room where half the space isn't taken up by tables, but the fact is those people paying 1500% premiums on bottles of alcohol are the people keeping your clubs open. That's where the money comes from. You just have to accept that as a trade-off for being able to party in top shelf nightclubs. These places are first and foremost a business, and they're out to make money just like every other business. If you had people willing to spend $400 on a bottle of Captain Morgan that you paid $18 wholesale for, would you not accomodate them?

Here in Las Vegas, bottle service is huge business. At Ice, they put tables around the periphery of the dancefloor, taking up valuable dancing space. The bigger the DJ, the more tables they have set up. That's how they pay the booking fees for DJs such as Sasha, John Digweed, Carl Cox, Paul van Dyk, etc.

chekc out shelter, go to love on sundays when joe claussell is playing. And basically alot of other deephouse parties have stuff like this why, because the loft, the paradise garage and the original soundfactory had it, its called tradition, something alot of clubs are crowds are lacking nowadays.
