$75 for 4-8??? that's crazy maybe you guys can give me some advice..

I have been advised to get there at 6am and 'get stamped' and come back later...which I dont have a problem with however, since this line for LDW is gonna be atrocious...do I have any chance of getting back in or is there a seperate line for re-entry??

What I do have a problem with is...hip-hop/top 40/bon jovi shit...is the party THAT good that its worth going to THAT early to hear crap?? or is it should I save myself the aggravation and just go from 4-8 and will the party still be hopping at that point???

Tiesto does draw a huge crowd but I doubt Sharam and Cedric will...here in NYC or Miami yes...but I havent been to Vegas in 5 years so I dont know waht the house scene is like out there...if there even is one

Does anyone know if Oba at Mandalay is still around or any good??

I am a vegas naitive but moved 2 years ago...we are coming back in Nov. and trying to plan a night out. Anyone have any hookups to line passes?

I used to work at RumJungle but have heard from friends that it has really changed and isnt any good anymore. :(

Rum Jungle? That hasn't been good for 4-5 years.

My advice, skip Rehab entirely and do Sunset Sessions at Tao Beach instead.

That might work for some. For others it definitely would not.

I'm coming to vegas primarily for this party... sharam won't be in ny anytime soon... tiesto there the next night, can make it a trifecta. (friend's 30th bday)...

Who's spinning at Tao Beach?

me too...well, one of the reasons...kinda silly to fly out to Vegas and miss Rehab...

...which one is Sharam? I saw one of them at Star Room (hamptons) this guy had black long hair, light skinned with a big nose...he could have been my cousin

music was great but it was all stuck up snotty types - great music but no vibe whatsoever...that's what I'm afraid will be like in Vegas

And you're the perfect example of all of my points... it all depends on personal opinion and desires.

Comparatively, Tiesto has been through Colorado 3 times this year. Sharam twice. Meanwhile Morillo has never played here. So for me, Eric represents the DJ I'd love to see the most over LDW in Vegas.

As for Rehab, house DJs there have always resulted in major disappointment for me. The sets are very short, I've never been happy with the sound, and the majority of the crowd puts music pretty low on their priority list of what they want out of Rehab. Which is why for house lovers I'd strongly recommend Sunday Sunset Sessions at Tao Beach over Rehab.

Nobody's right or wrong here, just sharing opinions and experiences.

What's Tao Beach going to be like? I thought Eric Morillo was playing at night? I'd much prefer a less hectic setting (if that's possible). I've been to Rehab once and it was a drunkin mess.

It's all good greenie...

According to the reports, trance DJ Paul Oakenfold is at the Tao Beach event...

Usually I'd be down for that, but right now, I'm pretty much a deep dish whore...

Maybe I can do both, or that cedric/faarsheed thing looks tempting.

Oaky can't mix for crap, but he does drop some of the most amazing tracks.

Either way, its like a mini mini WMC...

Sharam is the dirty persian. Dubfire is the clean one. Sharam plays the mainstream vocal stuff, Dubfire drops the dark and dirty underground stuff.

As for the crowd... snotty types? well, you were in the hamptons, aren't they all snotty types there?

Should be a decent well diverse crowd at rehab. With an emphasis on muscle and hot bodies, but it should still be good. I'm hoping for a terrace yoshitoshi type feel. Who knows....

Faarsheed & Cedric at Foundation will definitely be worth checkin out Sunday for afterhours....Monday at 3400 at JET will be insane as they will be the vip room to the Tiesto party....good chance you will see Tiesto, Dubfire, Sharam, Erick, & many others hangin out there from what I hear....I heard Faarsheed has a close friend of his from New York as the surprise guest (hint hint)

So 3400 is a separate club or room in Jet?

I know Tiesto is spinning at Jet on Monday, so I guess afterward he's going to 3400?

Can someone fill me in with all this mumbojumbo?

I heard, the tiesto ticket for monday gets you in to both places...

3400 is the party Faarsheed throws in the vip room at Jet on Mondays....its always off the hook with great music and tons of hot girls. Tiesto doesnt go on till 3am or so on Monday, so there will be a sea of people trying to get into the 3400 room that night.

usually just let the front know you are there for 3400 and they give you a stamp which allows you to walk right in the room from the main room. but this monday im not sure, you'd probably have to get there really early and do the same thing, because the room fills to capacity very fast.

k, thanks. Is there a guestlist for jet? I bought tickets, but that probably doesn't entitle us to skip the line. oh... and what time is early???

I totally understand what you mean...I'm from NJ and I'm sick to death of Morillo LOL

The dude I saw was playing mostly electro...this was well over a year ago so I have no idea what he plays now...it was in BridgeHampton which is the snottiest of the Hamptons...(Hampton Bays is where 'normal' people go)

If its a muscle/bodies type party then I'll def be thre early...and prob check out House of Blues later since it seems more intimate (and the fact that I go to every HOB in every major city) I believe that's in Mandalay and that's where I'm staying

thanks for all ur help...I'll try to hit up TAO Beach; I hear its a hot-spot but not for Oakey

Dubfire would definitely be the one you saw. He's always had the darker progressive sound of the pair, and for the past year he's been incorporating a lot more electro-fueled tracks. Still on the more progressive side of things, though. I've seen him a couple of times this year (WMC and Denver) and his sets have been SICK.

Hard to run into the "snotty" crowd in Vegas, particularly over LDW. That kind of crowd can't keep up and is usually spent and passed out by the time Rehab rolls around! The Rehab scene is DEFINITELY about showing off what you got, and how you can work it. No party like it anywhere in the world. And MDW/LDW Rehabs are simply insane.

Tao Beach will be overflowing with gorgeous people as well. Whatever we all may think of Oakie there's no denying that he's still a heavy-hitter that always creates demand. Combine that with the 3-day weekend and the intimacy of Tao Beach... wow. Come 7-8pm, it's going to be AMAZING up there.

If you don't mind putting out the money and effort, consider hitting up Rehab early for the social scene, duck out around 2pm and head to Tao Beach.
