  1. You guys have NO idea what you're talking about. Robert DeNiro and Jane Rosenthal created the tribeca film festival to celebrate filmmaking, NYC's role in it, and mainly to revitalize lower Manhattan post 9-11. What the two of them have done in the last 4 years has been nothing short of incredible...In the beginning, the millions of dollars in revenue generated for the businesses down there was critical....and now with the enormous popularity of the festival it only brings more good to the area. DeNiro has just as much of a right to be in a commercial with a shot of Ground Zero as a fireman or a cop does....not for his heroic acts on 9-11, but afterwards- Yes, the ad is there to promote American Express, but Amex is a tremendous sponsor of the festival. The main sponsor. They've contributed tons to the efforts to revitalize lower manhattan...
  2. like, it is. but i think spirit might be a great place to see danny howells! i havent seen him in forever and would really like to go to this. i like the crowd he draws
  3. i know people who go to this , supposedly it is pretty cool.
  4. Perfect w/e for an engagement party...I am sure my guests won't mind being stranded in Manhatten! ;D Timothy, for a man of your caliber intelligence, im shocked to see you spell Manhattan with an "e." Anyway, it is a Noreaster here...indeed...im pent up in my apt and have been for about 4 days now after enduring a very unexpected infection which led to emergency surgery on wed nite...doctors have no idea how it happened (though they think i got it from shaving my chest...thus the infection was on my chest and a huge welt formed). I dont know man, but i've been bedridden for days and living on percosets and very heavy antibiotics.. I even missed Tim and Lisa's engagement party today, which was a huge disappointment to me..... Anyway I hope the party was fun this afternoon....and I hope everyone is safe in their apartments now...I'm currently watching movies with my better half and he is cooking me dinner as we speak.
  5. I definitely agree, and i didnt intend to give off a negative impression...especially since i wasnt there. and bradley, i went to your website and you look very familiar to me im wondering if ive seen you out and about. :-X
  6. 18+, really? whateva, im over sasha. :
  7. Some leftovers from this party showed up at APT early monday morning...most said the party was decent, not packed, and keoki didnt show up for the gig. Sunday was fun, though Hiro was packed, tho that is definitely the best place to be on Sunday. Most everyone ended up at APT, where I spent most of the evening in the back room or downstairs listening to bantering trannies and the likes. All in all, the evening was pretty good..
  8. why dont you come to Hiro on Sunday nite for 1 drink. just 1. :-X

  10. If I am forced to label myself, I'm a Libal-Republican. Pro Choice Pro Gay Unions Pro Civil Rights Pro Womens Rights Anti EuroTrash and im a hedonist...i want everyone except pedophiles and murderers to enjoy whatever it is that tickles their fancy.
  11. david waxman BLOWS...I gave him several chances and each time except one he bit. im ovvver it. im over crobar to, for that matter, for the time being.
  12. I love when you call me honey, and I certainly wouldnt anticipate a rec of yours to be shitty. no way, pookie. :-*
  13. i tried but never got into it. I've heard that if you persevere thhru the first few episodes, it gets more palatable.
  14. thanks for all this info, guys, you're very helpful. I may try to also sell the domestic ticket and use the profit from that towards buying an international ticket (maybe Puerto Rico...) to complement the one I already have. American flies to Puerto Rico for around $200...
  15. And I don't recommend driving to Mexico from CA. Most rental car companies will not let you do that. If it has to be the continental US - Have you been to Key West? true, there are places to park near the border and you can walk over. Key West is tropical. that might be the play Ev. are the beaches there great like Miami, though? I heard they arent that great in key West. PS I SCUBA dive too, which might make the keys a cool place to consider.
  16. One ticket is anywhere American flies...the other is only contiguous 48 US states, which blows, because ideally we'd fly to Hawaii or South America or somewhere exotic where everyone speaks Spanish. (love latin culture) So yeah, i'll be giving up a major travel opportunity by using the international one domestically, but it's worth it to travel with your better half, you know? I could go to hawaii alone, but would have an empty heart. whatever. im slightly bitter. the thing is, the travel needs to commence before April 15th. Climates across the US in that time period arent ideal, aside from Fl, for tropical weather (sun, not hurricanes). So California isnt as enticing as it would be during the summer...I dont know what to do.
  17. so I've got these two tickets anywhere in the US that I need to use up before April. I'm looking for something romantic, tropical, and amazing for two cool ,young gay lovers in their early twenties. (i only mention the sexual orientation so no one comes at me with ideas of spring break in south padre texas or various unwelcoming; shitty places) obviously Miami is ideal...but I've been to miami so many times and it is more nightlife oriented anyway. It seems that South Florida or maybe flying to SanDiego and driving to Mexico might be the only options? Can anyone offer some suggestions? Something with beautiful beaches....anything good in the keys?
