New Year’s Eve at crobar…… Celebrité: Where Everyone’s a Star!!! Start your New Year off right with our resident star DJ David Waxman and the decadence of Los Angeles in the 80’s. Dance amongst the “likes†of Cher, Burt Reynolds, Joan Collins, Michael Jackson, the Two Coreys, Madonna and even Pee Wee too!!! In the Main Room we’ll glam it up LA style for the New Year with all the decadence of that sinful decade! If you’re feeling a little seedier, stop by the Sunset Strip in the Reed Room with all your favorite hookers, johns, and Madonna-esque strip tease booths. If you’re lucky, you’ll get invited to the “studio back lot†in the Prop Room where all the stars will be. Think you’re really famous? Then party like a Rockstar at our after hours event starting at 4am with resident DJ Boris. So, tease you’re hair up, pop your Lacoste collar and hop over to crobar in your red Ferrari. For 24 hours at crobar, we’ll all be stars!!! General Admission: $125 Includes open bar from 8:30pm-midnight (with champagne toast) 80's night on NYE/???? Most of you know how much i love everything 80's , so you'll certainly find me here at some point in the night!

As for the conference, unless I come down spur of the moment, I doubt i'll be there. definitely not an entire week, if anything a weekend.

honey, it is called having "nothing else to do", coming up with these cult-like posts and gossip sometimes i forget how spoiled we are with options and activities here in nyc.

huh, Djs make all their own flyers? actually it was a DJ mag party that he no-showed. i conversed with him at Rumi last year and ive never heard of anyone he was offensive to. Ev has hung out with them a bunch (the Blackhole crew) - I should ask him to comment on this... My fiancee has had her picture taken with him a few times too and spoken with him...no problems there. If he's egotistical, he certainly hides it well from what I've seen. During that grammy event he had plenty of time for press...which was generous considering he was just there visiting and having a couple of cocktails to chill before his event the next day in CP. We were with him the entire night and several press people were speaking to him. maybe nocovertv didnt have the press muscles to gain access to the table where tiesto was, along with his blackhole crew, boris, crobar staff, etc.? And norah, don't lie, I saw you and your colleague paying admission with reduced tickets...remember I said hello to you as you were exchanging cash with the register lady?? I mean, really... The way I see it, he is a very kind and fun person and the people who ridicule him and his ways are just pissing in the wind. He's a talented cool guy who appeals to a lot of people...I cant imagine why so many people get bent out of shape when this fact doesnt even apply to them. what a waste of energy. I dont enjoy lots of things....like country music, brussel sprouts, black people (kidding!), etc...but I really cant imagine wasting my time bitching about the aforementioned relentlessly. :

we should plan a trip. The last Sasha night was classic! We need to have an NYC version of that night. That would be "tits"! ;D you're funny- I havent heard anyone say "tits" in this context in years. a few of us saw sasha last time he was at crobar down here. after the show, we ate some pizza on the street and were loitering around for what seemed like 30 minutes but in reality was more like well over an hour, when all of the sudden sasha comes walking out of the club with his people, so we stop him to ask for a pic using ddg's camera phone. we got some crackhead to snap it, and as we are all looking to see how it turned out, ddg says, "that pic is tits!" sasha paused a moment, then repeated that to himself and laughed. that is hysterical; from now on we are saying tits when something is amazing.

I think Saleen in pretty much on point with all his comments here. Boris' success is definitely due to the marketing team of crobar. correct me if im wrong, but hasnt he always merely been a bridge and tunnel/ktu sensation? he's good and I enjoy him when i see him spin, but that is a tough stigma to escape from. and norah, dont forget Sander in your list of residents @ crobar here in nyc. boris, sander, sanchez and sasha.

From an outside perspective, Space reminds me of some sort of club-cult.

I'll certainly come to Crobar with you to see Roger Sanchez. We'll all go together. As for seeing a show, I'd love to come too...what were you thinking you wanted to see, Carisa? how discounted are the tix? I'd love to see Wicked, i heard it's amazing. I'd also see Rent again. But what else were you thinking? I just went to see Avenue Q, it was OK, but not as good as the hype makes it out to be.

roger is the last saturday of every monthsander is the third friday of every month and boris is twice a month on a saturday 8) at least that's the way it is at the present moment.
