  1. before you all get excited, this is a show at the House of Blues to promote Ferry's Live at Spundae CD. I don't know about these Dj shows at concert type venues. How would that work? And whats up with the Ticketmaster charging $7.50 "convenient" charge? Evil... With all that said I'll probably still go just to check out Ferry live. Anyone else up for this?
  2. time for my 2c from my limited party experiences: *ID check for the most part is strictly enforced. Best bet is to borrow from older siblings or friends. Make sure you know the ID info inside out *As for partying alone - it has its pros and cons. You can do whatever you want, whenever you want. But you do it alone (well, with 1000 other hyped up party goers...) But now that you found the CP - LA forum, chances are you'll run into one of us somewhere. Just gotta reach out and touch someone
  3. come on peeps...save the drama for your mama. Lets just get out there and dance like you just don't care. Can't we all just get along? Hishie fo shizzie...
  4. lucky bastard. let us know how it goes though
  5. tempted to go to Spun this time just because its been a while since the price has been this low. But who's Charles Feelgood? I hear he's old school (he sounds old school) Whats his style? Forgive this ignorant tequizass...
  6. any info on advance tix or guest list or what not?
  7. I'm all for immediate gratification. But what will you have at the end of the meal? Appetizer?
  8. Ohh...all this time I've been imagining people on fire or in flames. Guess I'm just thick headed
  9. Awesome! I hate those BYO booz parties:D
  10. any word on the line up for this coming Sunday? Nevermind. just saw the first post. Look forward to it....
  11. umm...I don't know. Too many parties & club kats in this town for just one recovery?
  12. this sounds like a different recovery event (from Alex's)...but its all good
  13. so what kind of music do these guys drop? Any guestlist going on?
  14. Its awesome that you keep having these guestlist running. Too bad I haven't been able to take advantage of this yet Maybe some day....in the mean time, keep it going, aight!!??
  15. yeah...blatant, unsolicited advertising is NOT cool
  16. Sleep? Dont you know there's no rest for the wicked?
  17. I know this is a Vegas venue and that its actually a bar not a club But the LA forum is the closest thing to Vegas, plus I did boogy down with some peeps anyway. So here goes... Monday @ Ghostbar NIGHT YOU ATTENDED: Monday PROMOTION THAT NIGHT: No Cover: free (1-10, 10 being best) Decore: 9 - contemporary Buzz: 10 People's Hot'ness: 9 People's Niceness: 9 Parking: Free valet parking (if you're super cheap) I usually tip the guy a couple bucks. The Ghostbar is situated on top of the Palms hotel, over looking the Vegas strip. The indoor bar area will take about 100 people, with the outdoor patio taking another 100 or so. Make sure you check out the out door patio - 1) for the nostalgic view of sin city night light and 2) for the see through glass floor near the end the end of the patio area. I wouldn't recommend looking down when you're drunk. Revisit? Hell yeah! If nothing else, a great spot to take a date to mack on Definitely a great venue to hit before going to the dance clubs
  18. any reviews of the new Arena event? It appears to be a hip hop night now. The senuous ladies in scantily clad toga alone makes me wanna go check it out, even though I'm a stranger to hip hop clubs...
  19. speaking of which, what is the consensus on the new Arena event (formally Red)? one of my favorite pick up line (but crass): "Lets go have breakfast. How do you like your eggs? Scrambled, sunny side up? or fertilized?":D
  20. I'm torn about this... On one hand I deeply sympathize with the family and friends of the victims. On the other hand, just thinking about the guilty conscious that old man will have to live with for the remainder of his days. Thats a heavy mental load for someone his age. I suppose its just another reminder of how precisous and fragile life is...
  21. Couldn't find the original post from a while back, so starting a new one.... A lady walks into a Mercedes dealership. She browses around, then spots the perfect car and walks over to inspect it. As she bends to feel the fine leather upholstery, a loud burst of flatulence escapes her. Very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone has noticed her little accident and hopes a sales person doesn't pop up right now. As she turns back, there standing next to her is "Andre," a salesman. "Good day, Madame. How may we help you today?" Very uncomfortably she asks, "Sir, what is the price of this lovely vehicle?" He answers, "Madame, I'm very sorry to say that if you farted just touching it, you are going to shit when you hear the price."
  22. omg!!! you poor deprived child. Its good bread! Thats all I can say. Run to a grocery store near you and get one to experience it yourself. It also helps if you're a carbo-philiac like me

    Vegas

To Vegas, or not to Vegas. That is the question. Oh and it'll be a weekday: Sunday - Tuesday. Anyone been out there on a weekday? Wondeirng if its worth the time off and $$$ to goout there.
  24. My list of oral indulgences: *King's Hawaiian bread - the big round one, not the dinner rolls. I can finish a loaf in one Van Wilder sitting *Chicken in a Biscuit - these wacky name crackers are gooood. Just dont look at the nutrition contents label, before or after you eat it. *Cheesy poof! or any kind of cheese flavored snack. Just watch where you do with your orange colored hands after you eat them
  25. I concure with the rest of you in that if you really want to go out and have a good time, you should go! Cause life's too short to wait on others..ya dig???
