Wait till this party takes off again in June, by mid summer all you doubters will be partying with all of us. And face it, some parties arent for some people. Its not possible to get "everyones" favorite djs but Im sure Roxy will do its best to please the most people... I REAAAAALLLLYYYY hope the CP cards are still honored....After hitting exit a few times since, I really see how much we all took those cards for granted every friday with Free Admission and Line Skip and cool door people and bouncers. in a stroke of genius from exit, yet again, they decided to have a hip hop party in the red room, with some live performance, the normal hip hop in the secret room, and hip hop also on the roof. I didnt even think hip hop was big enuff to have 3 rooms of it...I heard "pass the coursversie" in 2 diff rooms at the same time (different parts)... so anyway robin goes to the roof and calls me and sez its crazy--next thing i know they clear the whole upstairs and the whole seond floor was filled with hip hop fans stuck with hearing a touchdown tony draper tribal set. You can imagine the comments I heard. One guy commented how he felt he was in rave. His friend said, "a rave??!! hells no this shit is more like ceremony with all these drums and shit!!" it was sick..but all the performances i saw were each sick ina different way-- like Danny was sick like tiesto was sick like Jules was sick... like i was sick the week after It was awesome but i dunno...Carl's sets put me in such a happy mood....people thought i was rolling cuz I was enjoying everything when he was on--to see a DJ with that much energy enjoying what he does so much to the point where he's dancing like everyone is on the floor ....thats why I never question why I spin-- Mike BuGouT

I enjoyed Td's tribal sets..both of em...Funkatron was nice as was the SUperdrum.... His hard stuff was ehh and he mixed thru em real quick....other than the efx500 tho no creativity--no blends, no acapellas, no reworks...nothing. Thats what I was looking for. Mixing wasnt trainwrecking--the majority of his mixes were on point. Went to the white room to visit my boy DJ Drag who was doing well up there...then they closed the entire upstairs. Im convinced someone got shot or stabbed. Red Room--all hip hop with some live performance, Rooftop-Hip hop Secret Room - Hip Hop.. umm.. anyone else see anything wrong with this?? It was so ghetto upstairs it was horrible...I bumped 2 guys on my way to the white room and they were ready to throw down with me...Im like..."easy gangsta.." Tony's cd is a nice 37 minute montage of what exit used to be like thrown into acid pro and mixed up nicely....I liked all the blends and wish he'd actually try to spin like that when he really plays.. All in all I had fun--Robin, Larry and Debbie (me and debbie took a nice tour of nyc while waiting for ticks...brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr) Good seeing everyone...lots of experience heads..good seeing them too...even tho they hate CP... btw...Tony played safe from harm...as did his opener....I was in shock... and quote of the night def goes to Larry "I have a man! while u promoters are reading this, I just wanted to say-- Its sad how at almost any club in nyc you can spin as long as u bring heads, talent is no longer required. The way i see it, there are thousands of dj's but only 100's of clubs. Shouldn't only the most talented dj's spin in the clubs and let the rest do house parties? kinda like the nba-- tons of athletes play ball and are good, but only a few make it to the nba becuase the nba is the big stage....nyc clubs are the big stage and right now to spin there you have to sell around 50 presolds or bring 100 heads and ur in. Its a biz--i understand it b/c i been in it for over 10 years--its just sad. Just an observation. Mike BuGouT
