Yes, I'm a house head, but I like some hip hop as well. I hate close minded people who only listen to one form of music, one genre. That's crazy. Open your mind and realize there's a wonderful world of music out there.

One time I was playing one of my mixed CD's in a hip hop clothing store because my boy wanted to hear it and the girl who was working there asked, "What's this music?" I was like you got to be kidding me

    -XeNo-

yeah I hear you... 90% of the people at my school are that way & I can't stand it... because of this I've started hating hiphop when I didn't used to. anyway when they're in my car or my house, they're gonna listen to whatever the fuck I wanna hear...

dunno about scared to shit, but if I didn't know half of u I wouldn't wanna be gettin involved... in fact I don't even now.

i am thinking bout getting a Trans Am, or a Firebird, or a Camaro... definitely leaning towards the trans am tho. Now i need ur advice car buffs, is the car actually reliable? or does it break down easily? anyone have it? which one should i get in ur opinion?

plz dont say get a certain car just because it looks better... altho that definitely would be a plus

(the car i would get would be like '96, '97)

if u give a shit at all about reliability, here's how the most reliable list goes:

    1. japanese cars

    2. european cars

    ...

    (pretty much any other carmaker)

    ...

    Dead last: american cars

I know 5 people with a camaro/firebird/trans am, and all of them have more problems with their cars than I do with my 13 year old civic with 190,000 miles on it...

They're not even that sporty either... they handle like shit compared to imports, and if u get the V6 version don't expect much power at all (my friend's civic si beats the V6's easily... and si's aren't exactly a sports car)

But, if u only care about what it looks like and not how it handles, accelerates or how reliable it is then go for it...

Don't get me wrong, I know it is not easy in this town to open up a brand new club in a new space, but they were talking like they had something already locked down. Basically, what they did is take over vinyl and make it their own, sans DT fridays. (Not that this is news to anyone)

All I'm saying, is that, until Crobar opens, Vinyl is going to the be the hot spot for all the international talent.. how much bitching can we possibly do about the size of the place? we should be on our fuckin hands and knees and be thankful that we get to see these guys in such a small venue. overseas they play to thousands of *punters*. I hate being in a cramped place as much as the next person, if you don't like it stay home! or do like hoke said and wait till 6 am (although you'll miss half the nite that way).

CC will be at Area2 in a few weeks.. if you wanna see him THAT bad in a bigger place, then go there!!

    good point...

but can anyone tell me why a bigger place (say, roxy) can't get this kinda talent?? (besides exit, lets not even go there)

the argument I've heard before from promoters was that these big name djs charge ridiculous fees... but arc holds less ppl and thus can make less $$... what's the deal?
