  2. i'm not a dj...but i do have a massive cd collection that is my most prized possession. fave labels? Defected Yoshitoshi Subliminal Saw Recordings Perfecto
  3. i bought the 4-cd limited edition - b/c it came with 2 sides of my world and the 3-cd subliminal winter sessions....all for like $20 from amazon - but i would not buy the "2 sides" cd by itself, its not that good...the p diddy tracks are garbage and the rest of the stuff is just ok...
  4. me and 5 friends will be in Ibiza from July 15-24....the party calendar is up and I'm looking to catch: jules @ eden PVD @ Amnesia Carl Cox opening party @ Space Subliminal @ pacha lawler VIVA opening party @ Space mauro picotto & chris liebing @ privilege we're staying at the Jet Ibiza apts directly above Bora Bora and next to Space.... who else is going to ibiza this summer??
  5. edwin sup kid...i'm used to seeing you on that "other board", hehe...i think i'm gonna take a weekend off (i'm usually in the city every other week or so)...i just dropped $1250 on my Ibiza flight alone!!! july is peak season and prices are reeeeediculous. but have a good time if u got out - havent heard tkk but have heard good things...and calderone is sure to be a good time. i'll let you know when i'm in again...
  6. if i lived in the city, i'd be there in a heartbeat...
  7. very well said bassboy...
  8. yeah sunflower is 3rd ave at 26th st...its quality but a bit pricier... holy shit man i go to jackson hole all the time...the coffee is like jet fuel and the eggs can be runny sometimes..but its cheap as hell and the waitresses are cute!
  9. sunflower diner in murray hill....
  10. that is one of my biggest complaints about crobar...at morillo it was near undanceable b/c of the debris...glad you had a good time though!
  11. finally have enough brain cells to write a review (just from being tired, no substances).... had a very good time at Spirit....got there around 3...plenty of room on the dancefloor, and that continued throughout the night...i'm glad pvd was next door at crobar or the place woulda been uncomfortably packed...danny was in a raised black encased dj booth (where the stage usually is) and opposite the regular dj booth...the black sides of the booth were annoying though, b/c you could only see danny if you were directly in front of him, like the roxy booth....i think that was b/c the strobes and lights get in his eyes, and DT still had a problem with them... crowd was very mixed, lotta guidos and asians as usual, but no major problems or drama that i saw....around 6 you could definitely see the crowd shifting toward the old Vinyl crowd...best collection of dancers i've seen on one dancefloor in a long time...dudes spinning on their heads, upside-down scissor kicks, people doing 540's and shit...some great female dancers too....i was in awe.... anyway the set was pretty good - not his greatest, but it def got progressively better....weaved between classic house, electro, tribal, techno, tech house, progressive (even close to trance, but DT vehemently denies it), and finally his signature danny style...music started gettin really nasty around 6 or 7 am, where he played bomb after bomb...he didnt get on the mike much all night, u could tell he wasnt that into it like he usually is, didnt use the flashlight much....from what i recognized and remember: Be Yourself over Underground Green Velvet - Flash (DT's nitrous oxide mix) Scumfrog - The Water Song Miss kittin - Frank sinatra Depeche mode - I feel loved (dt mix) - DT drew this one out real nicely So Strong many more that i know but don't know tracknames...go to dtourism for a better tracklisting.... left around 7:30 after my legs gave out completely....as i walked out i heard For an Angel coming out of the walls of Crobar, put a smile on my face....Danny did not disappoint, and it was good seeing a lot of familiar faces...spirit is def my fave club of the moment...
  12. how bout the "oh my god i just stepped out of the club and the sun is so damn bright outside and my ears are ringing" dance...
  13. either way...that shits gonna be scary when you're looking straight down and take that plunge....
  14. Maybe this is old news for you guys...but I just heard about this...they built the tallest, fastest rollercoaster at Great Adventure, called Kingda Ka... 456 ft and 128 mph, it will shatter Cedar Point, OH's record....looks pretty cool...the website has a virtual test ride and pics... http://www.sixflags.com/parks/greatadventure/index.asp
  15. guernica used to be the hot spot back in 2000 or so, then a stabbing and that place went downhill...i like alphabet city though, especially my fave little bar/club called Delft (think it recently changed names though)....
  16. i respectfully disagree...i've had some great times at spirit, but it tends to be on off-nights (some random sat night when i didnt even know who was spinning, and another night w/David Guetta & Exacta). big name dj's tend to bring out the shittier crowds, bottom line. doesn't matter what venue it is. i thought morillo's crowd at crobar was pretty awful too, but luckily i had a good group of friends, we staked out our spot on the floor, and rocked out. but imho spirit is a good venue if you catch it on the right night....
  17. you just made my day...last years event in the rain was the highlight of my summer...now that its on saturday i wont have to take a day off of work...
  18. i will never go to a club w/out my diesels...lightweight, comfortable, and at a quick glance they pass for dress shoes...perfect!
  19. ok, now i'm officially jealous of all of you that went...you all suck.
  20. LMAO...looks like they've found a new home...
  21. sounds like S&D were off the chain last night...i dont have any regrets about not going though, hector was great at sully last night...
