  1. Junior Jack: Must Be the Darkness Excellent track!
  2. Good thinking. Most people who use pills just pop them w/ no regard to what they're actually taking. Fact is, much of the junk floating around today contains crap like DXM, Methamphetamine, etc. (which is more harmful than MDMA itself) and maybe only half MDMA or maybe none at all.
  3. If you're talking about E, you probably don't even wanna know what the hell you were really taking. 80% of the crap out there today isn't even 100% MDMA.
  4. Just a prediction: Horrendous crowd; bunch of high schoolers, crackheads Tracklist (many were looped for an hour+) Claude Von Stroke: Deep Throat Sikk: Washing Machine Boots on the run Deux: Sun Rising Up Ain't Nobody GTI 2005 Let the Sunshine In My Love is Your Love All This Time JP crowd saying it was the best $35 they ever spent
  5. They prob. didn't want to let anyone in after 6 b/c they knew it would be nothing but crackheads anyways. Seeing how the event was being held in their club b/c of a raid at the original location, they were prob. playing it safe.

  9. Got there early and got comped which is always good. Sander got on the decks around 1 or so and was dropping some good funky beats early on. I love when a DJ smiles and interacts w/ the crowd the way that Sander does. The crowd was a little odd early on, as is usually the case at a place like Crobar, but throughout the night, more music heads began to roll in. The crowd was friendly and was having a good time; thankfully, there were no guidos, snobs, or any other nonsense. Decent amount of space to dance throughout the night which is always a good thing. Around 4am or so, he really started to step things up and began dropping one great track after another.....unfortunately, I wasn't able to close the place down, but I'm sure that the last couple hours involved more of the same. While it's not the best set I've ever heard from Sander, it was certainly a great night overall from a musical standpoint. He played a great mix of old/new tracks throughout the night. This continues to be one of my favorite parties and I will be back for his next one in April. Some tracks that I was able to ID throughout the night: Karizma feat. DJ Spen: For the Love (of House) Danny Tenaglia: Music is the Answer Artificial Funk: Never Alone (Funkagenda v. Trophy Twins Fatt Rmx) ID: It Comes From Inside Queen: Another One Bites the Dust (Cedric Gervais Bootleg) Mory Kante: Yeke Yeke (Hardfloor Rmx) David Morales: How Would You Feel
  10. Why would you buy the digital download? Just use a freeware ripper and you can convert the track to a 320kbps digital file

  18. It seems that many people who dislike trance don't dislike the music itself as much as the whole trance scene itself. Many trance parties are filled w/ DJ worshippers who simply stand on the floor facing the DJ with the hands up in the air. Needless to say, this creates a non-existant vibe which many people don't really like. Also, many people (myself included) aren't really into that hard and fast trance sound, but instead prefer music that has a little more funk/soul to it. I don't think there's anything wrong w/ trance music itself. I will listen to some trance music from time to time, but you probably won't see me at any trance parties for the reasons listed above. Truth be told, I'd rather listen to trance than that electro garbage that's in vogue now....I find that sound to be extremely boring and difficult to dance to. I'm not a huge fan of tribal either....again, it's very repetitive and just doesn't do it for me. I prefer progressive house with a funky/soulful element. But to say that trance is dead is kinda ignorant. Trance is the #1 genre of EDM in the world, and all of the big trance DJs draw big crowds in NYC; however, house is certainly more prevalent in the city. Anyways, listen to what you like, and don't worry about what anyone else says sucks. It's all a matter of opinion anyways.
