  1. Hang on a second. With all due respect LALate, Greenie has a point... Greenie is a tremendously helpful contributor on this board. He doesn't benefit from his advice. He basically helps out in the public areas of the board because he's a helpful person who just so happens to follow the Vegas scene very closely. His posts are insightful, accurate and very neutral in general. His content makes this board a better place. You, LALate, on the other hand, have a vested interest in drumming up VIP services leads for your company, and you often use hype and mystery in your posts with the obvious intent to spark private messages. And PMs basically enable you to give people private pitches without being subjected to public scrutiny. I'm not saying that your approach is necessarily flawed but some people perceive it as bad faith or lacking credibility when you use tactics like that in an area that promotes community discussion. Again, no disrespect intended to anyone except maybe Mr. Freeze haha jk.
  2. Union, NJ? Wow I grew up in Maplewood for 20 years and used to "cruise" through Union all the time. Anyway, there's a lot of messages on this board that answer your questions. I would browse through the board for a few minutes or else give us a little more information about the preferred music, vibe, age groups, etc. so we can better help you.
  3. I believe Minxx is starting an EDM afterhours too.
  4. Nice, a bunch of drunk lil girls, can't wait hahah! I think 16 is the age of consent in Vegas too Just kidding, before you send out a press release LOL!
  5. Some people prefer to go to just one club in a night, like most of the people who go to OPM for example. They call the club to get on the guest list. They show up before 11pm. And they walk right in and have a ball. Otherwise they end up coming at midnight and waiting in line for two hours. However even in that case, a simple $30+ tip per person to the doorman will allow a line skip in almost all cases. It all depends on the type of experience you're looking for.
  6. Well we didn't have KRS-ONE so it was dissapointing However, with that said, we had to buy out the restaurant space on the first floor for the first time ever, to accomodate the massive demand. I haven't seen anything like that before.
  7. Wow LOL. Also to Danswat, I'm putting together an all-star club report which will cover celeb sightings, etc. It was beyond nuts to say the least.
  8. Believing me? I wasn't even there. But you're basing your perception of the truth on a call to a radio show. Either way, like I said before, the group of people who patronized my spot, tipped well, acted respectfully and spent a lot. Sorry if other people experienced a lower crowd.
  9. Sorry but that sounds to me like a crock. Besides if that was really true, you'd think the restaurant would know some steps to avoid that.
  10. My experiences were the exact opposite. The staff at OPM received record tips, records bottle sales, record covers and record turnouts for four straight nights. And not one incident to report. I did, however, hear stories describing how many people in the service industry found it challenging to "service that crowd." I've always said it. Many people fear what they don't understand. Most of the local club industry knows how to service the Paris Hilton fans of the world. However, it's an often misunderstood scenario when servicing the "Lil Scrappy" crowd! On top of that, communications can be misunderstood, especially coming from the "ballers" crowd. Many come off as rude, when in fact all they really want is to be treated like a VIP. Those people are willing to hook up the staff who understand their preferred elevated level of service. And of course, respect is a big thing. The initial communication may come off as a little sharp around the edges, however it's really a test, and anyone who can pass that test enjoy a profitable situation right away.
  11. And Mad Linx is the featured DJ. This guy is so dope.
  12. General admission should start around $150 from 10pm to 11pm however expect much higher pricing to get in after 11pm. All tables are COMPLETELY PRE-SOLD OUT so there's no chance to get one unless you get very lucky due to someone cancelling. Saturday was so nuts I don't even know how to start reporting it yet.
  13. You're a good politician too. You were publicly assaulted first, before having the chance to discuss the matter privately, and then had to defend yourself just to receive a half baked apology. There's no excuse for his actions, just like there was no excuse for what he did against me and OPM no matter how many times he retracts. This dude is a BIG problem and it's clearly a miracle that he's still involved in the scene here, attacking local djs, bringing a pro-terrorist act into town, and leaving threats on voice mails. It's just unacceptable and I hope it comes to an end soon.
  14. Right off the bat, expect to pay $100+ per person for any decent club All Star weekend. It's looking like $150 to $200+ at a top hip-hop spot like OPM if you're lucky enough to even get anywhere near the door, and I'm pretty sure 3121 (Prince's spot) will be charging even more because Prince is known for charging some of the highest covers anywhere.
  15. Wondering, when do you drop the $400 ... Before you're seated or as the night goes on. Would you drop $400 if you were seated in the worst table in the house at opening time, and then had to carry your own bottles after being ignored for 40 minutes?
  16. All good, sorry for calling you an asshole then lol. Besides, this isn't even our fight. Nothing like Vegas nightlife huh
  17. Detn8or, I hope you feel better about yourself for being an asshole. The guy sent out a press release to a bunch of news angencies accusing me and OPM of supporting terrorists. We spent a whole day dealing with damage control and this had the potential to ruin my career and put OPM out of business. He also spread rumors about shootings that never happened. This is real business damage here, not a friendly joke. I guess I'm stupid and running scared to have our lawyers protect us.
  18. Hey Mr. Freeze, why did you edit out the part about you stating you took KRS-ONE's quote and attributed it to me, then sent it to every major rapper and the press including Fox News and a bunch of other huge outlets. Luckily for me, I printed your original post filled with admissions (before you edited it out).
  19. Yeah I just want yall to know that I participate here to have fun, promote Vegas and engage in the traditional bickering that people do on Internet message boards all the time. We all don't need to agree on things. That's what message boards are about. We don't need to stroke each other. Heck we may be obnoxious. However it ends there. Taking material from here, twisting it around, and then including press contacts and others who don't know the context of these discussions.... well its irresponsible and quite stupid.
  20. This one will be handled by lawyers. The quote was that of KRS-ONE. The reference to it was made by myself, DJ MasterWeb, in obvious opposition and outrage to the original quote. Mr. Freeze, by attributing the quote to me and distributing it willfully to media companies and industry, to cause damage to me and OPM, you have opened up the door for a big legal problem for both yourself, and the company you represent in your posts. Further your previous posts which referenced false news of a shooting at OPM will be pursued. This is ridiculous behavior, over and above a friendly joshing. -djmw The thread... http://bbs.clubplanet.com/las-vegas/321164-krs-1-feb-18th-slide-sunday.html The bullshit that Freeze sent out to a bunch of important people... 21. Attributing that quote to me is actionable. Who did that go out to, or will you not stand behind your own actions? 22. Mr. Freeze, are you a complete moron. That was KRS-ONE's own quote you idiot. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KRS-One
  23. All good, but it could be the slowest week ever just so you know... That's the week that follows Magic / Valentines / All Star / Presidents. The upside is I know I can get you a major hookup at OPM on that Friday.
  24. Isn't president's weekend the week before (which coincides with all star)
