  1. That's not true. Nobody was accepting general passes this weekend, but if a club specifically advertises a Memorial Weekend event, and includes an offer, then people will get pissed if that offer is refused after waiting in line for 2 hours. Bad business.
  2. I can't believe they didn't honor pre-paid tickets, no matter what time of the night it was - that's just very bad business, because now wantickets would be foolish to allow them to sell tickets again on their platform - chargebacks are the worst things that can happen to an online merchant. Further, and I have nothing personally against Empire at all, every person I know who is involved with outside promotions and street ticketing for them claims Empire screws them, throws away many of their tickets (which should result in commission), and then doesn't pay them on time if at all - for whatever that's worth.

  7. Yeah the pre-party was a private invite-only party. We turned away a lot of people who showed up for that. Thanks for coming by. The white-linen theme was not properly communicated to some so only about half the people wore that, oh well
  8. ******, Mr. VIP, LimoDriver, etc... I need someone who can handle a high-end client immediately. For this weekend... Tonight Tao 5ppl bottle service Friday Rain 7ppl bottle service Saturday B.E. 7ppl bottle service Price isn't their issue - they don't want to wait in line and they want a table. Please email me your cell contact immediately so I can have this handled hopefully within the hour... djmw@freevegasclubs.com Thanks.
  9. Well we started off on the right foot. Wednesday's anniversary party was a huge success. Doug E Fresh was truly an amazing performer. The club filled up and attracted many first time local faces. My favorite part was the recurring comments I received all night. "Somebody told me this place was a low end thug joint..." "I heard OPM was only for gang bangers and crack whores." But the common reaction was "wow this is a really classy high-end operation. I will be coming back often." So to those who spread racially challenged misinformation, the good word will prevail. Don't fear what you don't know. Come check us out and you may just be sold for life... http://www.freevegasclubs.com/3year.html
  10. Vegas' worst clubs are better than Atlantic City's best simply due to the fact that in Vegas everyone typically goes out to have fun, in Atlantic City, well if you've been there you already know... If you haven't been, you're better off. FYI I lived in NJ for 20 years.
  11. Contact Andy Hirsh (one of the GMs) and tell him what happened. I'm pretty sure they will fix that for you.
  12. Completely opposite scenes. Tao is a mostly white crowd playing a mix of music including hip-hop. Huge beautiful spot however I do not believe Friday is huge there - it's more about Thursday and Saturday. OPM is straight in your face hip-hop catering to a well dressed diverse urban crowd. It's smaller than Tao and packed Friday. Different strokes for different folks.
  13. Take a look at this week's special schedule... http://www.freevegasclubs.com/3year.html
  14. Wow finally Greenie, a little flame war and you're a participant, congrats! It's about time. Eddie, FYI Greenie is one of the most respected and helpful contributors on this board, which you would have realized if you spent a minute reading the hundreds of other posts that answer your questions. However to offer you a helpful hand, my recommended itinerary, custom made just for you would be as follows... Monday: The Beach Tuesday: The Beach Wednesday: The Beach Thursday: The Beach Friday: The Beach Saturday: The Beach Sunday: The Beach
  15. Best bet is to go to the hot clubs and ask the go go girls which agencies they work for, and then find the contact info for those agencies and ask for an audition.
  16. Two myths: 1. Myth: 115 isn't hot because it's a DRY heat. Truth: Stick your head in a convection oven and see if it's comfortable. 2. Myth: The heat scares away Vegas business. Truth: It may scare away some folks but the summer is the best time of the year to go clubbing and pool partying. Always crowded at the hot spots!
  17. Good post however guest list *does* also include line pass at some clubs.
  18. I'm starting to see a pattern here among newyorkers, dress code and the undeniable urge to proclaim their own male beauty
  19. Since I'm there 5 nights a week I can pretty much give an educated opinion here. The only people who feel uncomfortable are the people who *feel* they should be uncomfortable. Nobody else cares. Nobody looks at an older white couple and whispers about them. On the contrary, the pretentious attitude at the "zoolander" spots does not exist at OPM. Yes, there's always a little tension among the females but that's guaranteed at any club. Besides what's wrong with a little hissing once in a while As far as males go, get over the color of your skin, because nobody else cares. Greenie, as always good looking out for being the voice of reason in nearly every conversation on this board.
  20. Just curious, can you name one club where fellas don't grab chick's arms when they walk by? "No offense" but I agree that this very common pickup method is without class ALONG with your isolation of certain geographic areas when describing your dislike for a club that you don't work with. Have you stood in line at Rain and taken a poll to find out where people live? Couldn't you just describe Rain as a club that is not "in" by local's standards but plenty of non-clubber tourists fill it up. Rain is a tourist destination. And with tourists comes young drunk frat boy type behavior. I know plenty of people from Alabama and Tennessee who enjoy clubbing and are quite classy. Bill, I know this is an old argument, but generalizations suck in my opinion.
  21. Who was spinning at Empire this past Saturday night at about 6am to 8am. First time there for me. Nice vibe. Great non-vocal hard house sound, reminded me of a few NY experiences back in the day.
  22. As far as major clubs, none are exclusively packed by locals, since the tourist weekend is Thursday through Saturday in town. I have personally found that Thursday at Tao and Friday at OPM probably have the largest ratio of locals to tourists and are both packed. As far as tourists, Thursday Rain is definitely an ALL tourist event. Friday Pure and Rain. Saturday Tangerine, Studio 54, Rain, Body English, Club Rio are probably among the most exclusive to tourists.
  23. I think we look at this from different angles. To me, the best marketing is satisfying the 2000 people who pay to get in each night. I don't want to service customers who exit with drinks to go to their limo and drink more there instead of patronizing the establishment. I don't want to give the door away to people unless they offer something of value to us. The revenue we generate from charging for our product is then re-invested to improve upon a good product. All this talk about pissing off the wrong person and getting shut down for protecting your business' best interest, well it sounds like the mob, not good business.
  24. With all due respect that's my point. If you would comp a free ride for door help, it's your job. The way I see it, if I comp limo drivers, or anyone for that matter, who doesn't prove a tangible value to the promoter, then it falls under the same category as you giving free rides. Obviously there are some exceptions, like club courtesy and concierges, etc. Some people feel limos and taxis fall under the exception. I believe taxi drivers sell passes and limo drivers bring value when they bring paying customers or hot women. Anyway it's all good. Just real talk here.
