  8. im kinda torn with this one, nothing smoother than glass 2 footer, but there's something to be said about the flavor and class of a nice L as well. the pharmicist is on point tho, after a wandering guest showed up at our beach house a few years back with one of our female housemates, the most beautiful aroma arose from the back room. now i hadn't paid much attention to this guest, perhaps it was the fact that 35 year old men in speedo's aren't my thing... upon discovering the scent of the most delightful herbs, i found that this guy was an east german, currently living in amsterdam. this guy was rolling the diggity, in these giant papers with tobacco and a filter of sorts. perfect cones, or baseball bats just a couple pulls and you were floored. the guy spent two days at our crib, rolled between 5-8 of these a day, i tried but couldn't stick it out. i wasn't worthy of this guy's smoking prowess. but i learned how to roll a fat cone and it's a most preferred way of gettin blizzed. be cool ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
  9. how long is this mind blowing debate going to last? ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
  10. i wish i could tell you something about the scene, but i have not been as of yet. from what i understand it's a crazy city, im sure you'll find what you're looking for there. my boy is moving to that neck in march, or to brazil anyway, he's got roots there... it won't be long before i make a trip there myself. enjoy ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
  11. what's the difference if i bash the tunnel anyway? for what possible reason could you have for taking it personal? ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
  12. ok, i know it will seem unrelated, but trust me it's valid. got to www.dslreports.com go to "tools", then to "speed test center", run the test from any one of the locations available, you may have to be a little patient for a test center to become available. read the diagnostics given from the report. then, go back to the page where you chose the speed test in the first place, and choose "online tweak tester", run that test, check the diagnosis, and it will tell you what steps to follow to repair your problem. hope this helps stephen ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
  13. slow ehhh?.....there's something configured wrong if it is. i had a similiar problem initially, but one i got it straight, im downloading 100 times faster than a 56k modem. there are sites to test and determine your problem, let me see if i can find them and get back to you. stephen ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
  14. NICE.... i hear you loud and clear, i saw that same commercial and thought it was a scream. can't decide which to buy, this one or the spring break version. el oh el btw Jill, did you check out Sven on friday? i'd like to hear your opinion as an old skool techno head. be cool stephen ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
  15. i happen to agree with you NYC420, and i most def prefer twilo on it's "off nights"... room to dance, smiles galore. as much as i thought richie was going to be twilos party of the year for me, Sven out did himself friday night, and i had the best time enjoying it to the fullest. be cool stephen ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
  16. it's funny you mention that, friday night i saw and interesting conflict concerning the security. i arrived at 2 with my lady and another gf, to find that my crew was being ejected at that moment. evidently, from a source inside, they were standing with/dancing with two girls who decided to split up a pill in the wide open. hence the guilt by association thang took place. although my friends probably had been drinking, (havent spoken to them yet) and for all i know said something about these girls being ejected, the bouncers decided that only 2 of the crew had to leave along with the girls, but as it ended they all did. so throughout the night, i figured i would keep my eyes peeled for such instances. at like 4am, im by the speaker near the booth, back bar side, when i see this threesome, two shirtless tatooed clowns with a girl forming a circle and doing bumps of the k-bomb off of each others hands. so i tap the one guy on the shoulder and tell him to take it somewhere less obvious. suprisingly they obliged, and not 20 minutes later i saw another guy doing bumps off his hand in the wide open sitting on top of a speaker. knowing with my luck, i would get booted for whiping my fucking nose in the view of a bouncer. anyway, my point is, while they seemed strict on some notes, they were suprisingly blind on the other hand. i know it's impossible to monitor that whole place, and these things i saw stay within my rule of thumb, that the more obvious you are about doing something you shouldnt be, in most cases it's less noticeable. sorry to hear you fell victim andy, at least you didnt take a closet tour, it was a little cold for a hose job saturday morning. be cool, stephen ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
  17. yo, off the topic, how is the first issue moving? you guys happy with the sales results? be cool, stephen ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
  18. terminator- i don't know how that fits this topic really, but if that's the case, then i prefer being ignored. be cool ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
  19. i too thought Ali summed it up pretty well, a little more delicate maybe, than i expected. my guess would be that at some point he made attampts to create something of his own, but he couldnt get the job done. simply because he is a world renowned dj, doesnt necessarily mean he knows anything about how to compose music. here's an exapmle, a band like Green Day, they have sold millions of albums without having been able to read or write music (at least in the early stages of their career, im not certain about now). although i can't stand their version of POP PUNK, i believe they were still pretty successful selling all those records with nothing but regurgitated music. they could only play three chords or less!! and they certainly made nothing originaly in my eyes. hhhhmmmm, not sure if any of that will sink in, but i tried. peace stephen ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
  20. to the both of you... crommy- i wasnt at Vinyl last night due to Sven, but i can relate to all of your issues. sleep- RIGHT ON!!!!!! be cool stephen ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
  21. "The Orb" remixed the whole Dark Side of the Moon album, if my memory serves me correctly. there are also many trance remixes from the wall as well. although i do like this Orb album remix, i like the purity of PF as is. i always prefer the originals in this case is what i mean. these guys are the earliest influences in electronic music, in a sense one of the earliest forms of techno. they were at the forefront of "experimenting with sound". be cool stephen ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
  22. ditto to what parish said, excellent review. don't get too many like that 'round here these days. be cool stephen ------------------ we must cultivate our gardens...
