  1. i see. hope you did well. i didn't study finance in school, so i guess my definition is the "real world" application of it - that's how it's done in investment banking. anyway, good luck to you!
  2. take some time to browse this forum you would see this http://bbs.clubplanet.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=216203
  3. you need to take the net income (before extraordinary gains/losses, i assume) and divide it by the number of diluted shares outstanding. diluted shares is taking the number of common shares outstanding and "cleaning it out" of stock options, etc via the treasury stock method. you can get the information for the stock options in the management and discussion analysis portion of a financial statement from a company (10K). based on the strike prices being either "in/out of the money" is how you get to the number of shares that should be cleaned out of the common shares outstanding. why in the world do you need to know this?
  4. the right guy can bring the freak out in ANY girl.
  5. i can't even remember the last time i heard kemical... ahh... the tunnel.
  6. you're completely right - my bad about africa. you know, that type of music... same difference. i don't doubt that vicious is still banging it out, i suppose we've all set the bar up high for him with his previous tracks...
  7. no disrespect, as i'm trying to be constructive. vicious had once ranked very high on my list of top DJs (within the top 5 back in '97-'99). i don't doubt his sound/taste has evolved, as it's clear this man has been an integral part of the NYC club/EDM scene for quite sometime (the grand reopening night of the Tunnel back in August 2000 with him spinning is marked as one of my favorite parties, hands down). however, i don't think it's that people are having "tunnel vision" (no pun intended), but you cannot argue that he's banged out some killer, classic, memorable, ridiculously jawdropping remixes and tracks that we've all grown to love. Moments in Love (my personal favorite) Ecstasy (Take Your Shirts Off) It Began In Africa That's The Way Love Is Brainbug Rain his fans are not asking for these exact same replicas. but we all know he's more than capable of producing more clubhits like the ones above.... it's just been awhile since he's dropped a dope track on us. imo. evolve all he wants, as the fans will follow as long as there's reason for us to.
  8. well, i'm on the fence about this one. what kind of job fair is it? anyway, to be safe, bring your jacket and see what the general feel for the recruiters are like. if there's a chance there will be interviews given on the spot, be ready to bust out the jacket. otherwise, if it seems a lot more relaxed, just have the jacket draped on your arm or something.
  9. you are trying to rationalize why your ex should be in your life -"we've been friends for 4 years, etc etc." well, at the end of the day, he's still an ex. and he's not respecting YOU if he's still trying to put his hands all over you and all that bullshit. if your current boyfriend (yea, remember him?) means anything to you, then cut ties with the ex. plain and simple. if you keep digging for reasons to keep the ex around, then you're just kidding yourself and delaying the inevitable (current relationship gets fucked up, or you fuck the ex). i'm in the same position - i was friends with the ex for 10 years, dated him for 4 years. i'm dating someone else now. the NEW BOYFRIEND means more to me now. i cut ties with the ex, even though it hurts a lot. it's best for everyone in this situation.
  10. calling those brands "designer clothes" is unsettling to me.
  11. tons of knockoffs being made.. i think i saw a similar pair at aldos. i love anything that requires wrapping around the ankle. really makes a woman look nice and feminine...
  12. yea i agree. i think it's played.
  13. klubbhead, i understand what you're trying to prove here and i've been in your position trying to relentlessly defend my peoples as a whole, even if it meant defending the shady, dirty ass viet/chinese folks in Exshit. but you know what? there are a few bad apples in every race and it's just best to pick and choose your battles wisely. you're just spouting off to people that have already said multiple times that it's not the asian race as a whole they are hatin' on, but just the individual asian folks that make everyone else look bad. so, just give it a rest. there's a difference b/t people that are just trying to get a rise out of you and those that really are racist. come on now.
  14. you know i'd rather people start dressing sharp. it's so much nicer. also - you can tell the difference b/t an expensive striped shirt and a crappy one. don't worry boys, girls can tell if you're a pimp... brush that dirt off your shoulder..
  15. that whole "Crunch" thing is false, apparently.

  19. thanks kaydup for the link.
  20. they mentioned it in "21 Grams" as the "new hot drug." what is this? i searched for it on the 'net and didn't come up with anything, other than narcotics training to find R2. thanks...
  21. technically it's sunday if you arrive at midnight..
