  1. there is no reason to go to the actual WMC conference unless you are in the industry. everyone that is speaking about "going to the WMC" is not really going to the WMC conference, it's more like you're "going to all the parties at the same time as the WMC." ultra is the biggest party that is organized during the WMC week, which now is tied to the actual conference (i think?). it doesn't matter whether the party is organized by the actual conference or not, there are many parties that are historically known to be pretty dope - like, Danny Tenaglia's Space parties, now Howell's BED party, and anytime Sasha/Digweed is around.
  2. dear lord, it looks like you fell asleep in a tanning booth. kidding, looks like you are having fun there..
  3. ack! can't make it - i'm leaving on Tuesday. good lineup though! aztec, i'm told you met one of my best friends, Eddie, he's a bartender at Spirit?
  4. i have to watch the video again, but i know that Thomas Pink carries similar shirts - striped, crisp button down. but, the shirts Jay Z has on looks like they are silk, if i'm not mistaken. why don't you just get custom made shirts? his are probably custom made by some dope designer.. you can just head over to the garment district.. just a suggestion.
  5. aww, you're too sweet. i like Pastis better though. btw i didn't check out the Pink sale this past season, did you? haha, i suppose you can't take ALL of the banker out of me. yea man we have to catch up sometime!
  6. these are all in great locations and for the most part, have a good bar area or very close to good bars. Pastis. Baltazhar (spelling is off). Gramercy Tavern. Union Square Cafe. Le Cirque 2000. City Crab. 11 Madison. 21 Club.
  7. yea check here, there's a listing for it http://www.wmcon.com/thelist/list.htm
  8. anything David Lynch puts out for a mindf!ck: Mulholland Drive, Twin Peaks: Firewalk with Me, Blue Velvet, Lost Highway. if you want to be disturbed for the rest of the night, watch Kubrick's films: Clockwork Orange, Eyes Wide Shut, 2001 Space Odyssey, The Shining. drug related: Fear & Loathing, Half Baked, Trainspotting, Spun, Blow. off the beaten path: Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, Spirited Away, Kill Bill Vol 1, Moby's SonicVision show at the Museum of Natural History.

    a&f...

i hate a&f with a passion (particularly since i found their shirts to be rather racist and retarded). that is all.
  10. joe, i also emailed you --- hope you got it? it's under the name Young.... thanks!
  11. how much are you willing to spend? the best bathing suits, imo - and damnit, i'm always talking about this place - la petite coquette on 9th + university. i got a la perla bikini for $20 last month. they had a dope sale. they probably have their new shipment in (which means no sale), but it may be worth it... some of these bathing suits run like $500 though, for cheaper ones, i think pac sun/coast 2 coast (in roosevelt field mall) has pretty cute ones. century 21 has a good selection of designer bikinis - i have a moschino + cK one from there. i'm giving away all my shopping tips!
  12. just call the place up yourself. they have a website, i believe it's peoplelounge.com (or search for it through newyork.citysearch.com). one of the managers there is named Heinz (yes, like the ketchup). good people. anyway, it's a chill place. the crowd is becoming more gross as it has become more popular and the music was AWFUL the last time i went there.
  13. though i envy people that are above 5'5", there was a chick on the show that was 5'7" and they were giving her so much crap about being short! oh goodness.
  14. are these the same as "brazilian jeans?" where the jeans are long, lean, high pockets to make your butt look nice? i'll have to dig around but i know there only a few brands that make this style.
  15. yea, no shit. i just happened to mention casey b/c it was specific to your handle, not b/c i'm forgetting about the many others that passed away. she was particular to CP b/c she was a well-known person around these parts, and to my knowledge, the only person we knew of here at CP that we tragically lost in 9/11. i could care less what you do with your screen name. i was a bit perturbed when i saw it initially.
  16. clothing is pretty dope. better prices than yellow rat. i'll be buying fo' sheezy.
  17. i caught the tailend of last night's show. wow, talk about feeling fat after watching that show! there was a judge telling a girl to lose weight and she must've been 100 lbs wet! there's this one black girl, with really nice eyes and a huge smile, she has the dopest catwalk and i hope she wins!
  18. this is off topic but it's extremely odd to see your screen name, "theblueangel" posting here. the originial blueangel, casey, was one of the first posters on this board that made it into a community... and she passed away on 9/11... sorry. i am sure others that remember casey probably thought the same thing that i did.
  19. not hating at all. and the monogram line, the ones that everyone and their mother has (not the couture lines) are not leather. they are compressed synthetic materials made to feel like it. i just think it's hilarious your organization couldn't come up with your own designs that you need to replicate commonplace and trite designs. you're just as bad as those chinatown folks, at least they have the decency to charge $10. btw the html design on your website is awful, i think my 12 year old cousin's website looks better than that garbage! oh wait, i must be hatin' there again!
  20. you idiot. Louis Vuitton doesn't even use real leather!!
