  1. Atkins is kind of a weird thing. It will definietly help you lose weight. As far as being good for you, it really depends. Obviously consuming fat isn't good for your heart, arteries, etc. Atkins doesn't specifically say to eat fatty foods but it does allow it. When I started it, it seemed my whole digestive process changed. My body was better able to process all the meat, eggs, and vegetables I was taking in as opposed to processed foods. Pasta, breads, etc weren't good for me at least from a digestion perspective. Atkins says that these foods weren't around 'in the beginning' and therefore humankind is not able to process carbs/sugars in these foods naturally. On the other hand, meat is naturally broken down by the body and processed/digested much easier. This is the burning of calories while you sleep mentality. If there are no sugars/carbs to burn, you naturally breakdown the fats/proteins. This was the case for me. No more upset stomachs from heavy meals. This can also be tied to blood type. I believe that type O is the orgianl blood type. Research indicates that people with Type O are again able to break down meats, nuts, etc much easier than others and it is in fact healthy for those individuals to eat in this manner. A friend is type AB which is a 'newer' bllod type (if that is a correct label) and was constantly sick on Atkins. Couldn't process anything or keep anything down. I would say give it a try and see how your body reacts. Watch the fat intake as it is obviously bad for other aspects of health but if you are able to process fats/proteins, this can be a healthy diet. Oh yeah, drink lots of water.
  2. Continuing the b'day celebration, Risa? I'm taking my girl to continue hers and am planning on following the same schedule. Thanks for the Asia de Cuba suggestion. Made my reservation for tomorrow night with her for the initial celebration. If we meet up in the Hamptons, u 2 get a b'day shot on me!
  3. Awesome game last night! A little embarrassed that it was once again, Luis (I look like a frog) Sojo coming through but fighting back from 4-1 was great too. Anyone see the game on Sunday I think, when that guy caught the homerun ball in rightfield, lifted his arms up celebrating and had a gun/holster on his left hip? What was that about? Great shot of it and perfect for the Stadium! Ha!
  4. Risa, Happy b'day to you too!! This sounds like a cool place (looked it up online). Would I need reservations? Sounds like she might want to invite other people now so I'm not sure how many are going. Let me know. Thanks.

    Sex in clubs

A bouncer at Tavern in the Hamptons actually stood guard for us!!
  6. Where should I take my girl for her b'day dinner? It will be on Wednesday so weekend crowds shouldn't be a problem. Looking for romantic, classy, great service (we go crazy when the service sucks). Seafood, Italian American quisine! Any help would be great!
  7. Yeah, that bugs me. I think if I start a thread, it shows how many I actually have, If I respond to one, it shows zero. Weird. [This message has been edited by armada (edited 06-04-2001).]
  8. Chill dude. What are you attacking me for? I was lending credance to your statement that rudeboyyouth's oration was horse shit. I thought it was ironic that he would post all that crap and then make the statement that harley should "save the long winded analyzation-of-the-question" for something else, when he in fact gave some type of long-winded yapping post. What the fuck is your deal?
  9. I find this command ironic as part of this post.

    Funny but... not true! http://urbanlegends.about.com/science/urbanlegends/library/blrevenge.htm
  11. Marla Singer (the chick in Fight Club) took a whole bottle and she was out of her mind. Watch the scene!! Sorry no real info here!
  12. Who makes you sell for the them or become a 'house delear'? Where has this ever happened? [This message has been edited by armada (edited 05-21-2001).]
  13. Sorry for you but I'm in good shape! Had some nasty, drag out domination sex last night with my girl. Favorite words of all time: "Ow that hurts! Don't stop! Hurt me some more!"
  14. Round, sour apple lollipops rule!
  15. Take Vitamin C both before and after you role. Not sure if there is any chemical support for this, but it definitely helps based on first hand experience. Regardless, you should wait at least 2 weeks between rolls for seratonin to replenish!
  16. Foxy = 5 meo-dipt. These are both research chemicals. Not much is known about long term or short term neuro-toxic affects. There have been a few reported deaths. Apparently dosage is very sensitive with both of these, more so than other substances; i.e. a few mgs above proper dosage and baaaad things happen. They are both legal at this time too! Ha! erowid.com does have trip reports/ user experiences.
  17. Every freakin time. It's kind of funny. My hair, sheets, pillows are soaked!!! Then I'm freezing because everything is wet. Your body temp rises when you drop and for me, I drink so much water. I'm sure that my body temp is still up a bit and I'm sweating off the water that I drank.
  18. Honestly, it was something as simple as I went and worked out before work instead of after. I knew that I wouldn't get home in time to go to the gym tonight, and would subsequently feel badly about missing it. I'm not a morning person and always slept to the last possible minute with the fear that I would be tired all day if I got up earlier. I think it could be anything though that you have wanted to do. Even doing a load (ha, I said load) of laundry that you haven't gotten to, pay some bills, clean up around your house or even better start writing a short story or putting pictures in a photo album. I think it's just a matter of changing your routine and feeling accomplished!
  19. Go back and read. These types of references happen all the time. by someone about someone. Been reading and posting for a while (not sure why it says I have 0 posts and just joined) and I haven't seen anything this blatant. Regardless, it doesn't make it right especially considering the 'history' between these two. In fact, I have seen threads with a call to arms by people on this board when someone would post negative remarks about promoters or djs. People would go off about how it's not fair to damage someone's reputation in such a way, etc. Why would a fabricated story of someone selling laced pills be tolerated. I can only hope this guy has learned from doing this.
  20. Hey everyone. Just a quick discovery for me today. I changed my routine today. Nothing crazy, I just got up an hour earlier than usual and did something constructive before work. Let me tell you it has gotten me out of the rut I was in! Nothing terrible was going on but I was stressed about a few things, feeling frustrated and tense and angry at the world in general. So I changed my routine! I am more energized, feel more focused, motivated and happier, creative, and better able to tackle those stresses. I encourage everyone to change their routine just a little and see the effect. I guess it's like getting one of those freakin' foam pillows that they have infomercials for, you know, it will make you sleep better, get a promotion, earn more money, have a better social life! Oh yeah, but my method really works, at least for me. Hope everyone has a great day and if you are feeling like your life is in a rut, give this a try!
  21. I am going the other way. I recently got engaged. Hey, that means I have an opening for a g/f as my previous g/f is now my fiance. Interested? Seriously, enjoy your freedom and congrats. I commend you for going through something so tough and feeling so happy right now!
  22. I don't really care about anyone openly referring to their own activities or those that they do on their nights out with their friends, but to post about another board member selling and better yet, selling something that is laced (even as a joke)is disrespectful, moronic and thoughtless. This guy needs to get a hold of himself!
  23. In many cases I would agree. However the post above about D11 and selling, etc. is WAAAYYY out of line. Anyone not knowing the background and even those that do can read that and not understand that it isn't true. Also, posting something like that anywhere about anyone (unless it is true) is just stupid and careless. Talk about her mother, say she has fake breasts whatever but to post like that is awful! That one post has negated any positive contributions this guy ever made to the board! I would even so go far as to say that it should be edited out! 24. Book Tells Story of Motley Crue NEW YORK (AP) - Long before they were rock stars, the guys in Motley Crue partied like rock stars. And they relive all the gory details in a new autobiography, ``The Dirt,'' due in bookstores May 22. Lead singer Vince Neil describes the decadence in the band's early days, playing in Los Angeles clubs like the Whisky a Go-Go. ``Every night after we played the Whisky, half the crowd would come back to our house and drink and do blow, smack, Percodan, Quaaludes and whatever else we could get for free,'' Neil writes in the book, excerpts of which appear in the May 10 issue of Rolling Stone magazine. And drummer Tommy Lee recalls explicitly his torrid relationship with former ``Baywatch'' star Pamela Anderson, whom he married after a four-day courtship in 1995. Lee describes being high on Ecstasy and drunk on champagne the night he met Anderson at a club on New Year's Eve 1994. ``She was wearing all white, her hair was the most perfect shade of blond I had ever seen, her teeth practically glowed through her lips when she laughed,'' he writes. ``On Ecstasy, Joan Rivers looks like Pamela Anderson, so imagine what Pamela Anderson looked like.''
