1. And the guy was selling or wanted to buy (can't remember which) mazeratti's! Ha! Can't wait for those to come out...
2. I agree. Went a few Saturdays ago and was very surprised. Thought it was a great spot, great music and even better vibe/crowd!
3. I think they are turning the club that was Life last summer into Space.
4. A few points here: One key to running a good club is for security to know how to do their jobs. Whether they are making the decisions on their own or getting instructions in their earpieces, they need to be good at what they do. Grabbing random people or all people and seraching or kicking them out is not knowing how to do their jobs. That is grabbing everyone and then saying, look bad shit happens and we caught it. Really? What % of the people you searched really had shit on them? Come on! Like it was stated earlier, I can pick out people that are rolling in a club so the staff should be able too. That leads to the next point. They keep searching people, find nothing on many of them but then kick them out anyway. Why? Becuase they feel like fools for searching them to begin with and want to make it look like they are legit. That is pathetic. Lastly, I have seen this happen on a few nights and a staff member even confirmed my suspicion. Twilo will go through this routine of random searches and kicking out when it is too crowded so they can get more room in the club so they can let more people cso thay they can bag another $30. I would imagine that is the motivation behind the Twilo Oz' instructions to his top notch security staff. Give me a break about bad shit happened so they have to be that way because they want a clean club! I'm sick! [This message has been edited by armada (edited 04-20-2001).]
5. Mik-e, I e-mailed you about the guestlist . Let me know what's up. harley200@aol.com. Thanks.
6. Actually, if a drug becomes scheduled (such as E did), doesn't that mean that the government will no longer fund research on the affects, etc.? This is why having E scheduled makes it difficult for testing to continue and possibly making it legal again. I don't disagree with the absurdity of the gov't's position and the War on drugs, but I thought that scheduling caused all gov't research funding to cease.
7. Traditional season opening out in the Hamptons! I'm sure it will be a big weekend there.
8. Thanks. Since you quit, does that mean the party will suck now or is it still a good bet and you just didn't want to be bothered?
9. Are you still promoting for the Friday party at Cream? It's my negative 6 month anniversary this Friday and me and my girl want to celebrate at a cool party. Can you get me on a list or give me instructions on how to get on one? Thanks.
10. Probably the fact that you rolled on a saturday and then tried again on a wednesday had something to do with it too. You probably had little to no seratonin left. Atmoshpere as well as intelligent use have a lot to do with it... [This message has been edited by armada (edited 04-09-2001).]
11. Had a great time. Nice smaller venue. Great light system. Great vibe and friendly crowd/staff. Liked the music albeit a bit of cheese. Anyone know who was djing?
12. Easy there! We are going to be there for a full 2 weeks or so and yes we will do our share of sightseeing, relaxing, watching the sunset and enjoying our new married status and of course the horizontal type of entertainment, which will probably be a nightly event. However, one of the things that makes us compatible is the fun that we have going out. Whether it is sitting at a bar all night getting drunk, hanging with the bartenders and watching the Yanks (which will probably happen since it will be WS time) or going dancing/clubbing which my girl loves. It will all be a part of our trip. Incidentally, after getting engaged on top of the Empire State Building and enjoying a brunch and then 'horizontal celebration', we went to Centro-Fly that night and told anyone we could about the engagement. You think people are friendly normally in that environment, try springing news like that on them! It was a celebration all over again! Thanks to all those that responded. 13. I will be going to New Orleans and then Hawaii in October for my honeymoon. We plan on partying hard in New Orleans for a few days and then spending the next 2 weeks in Hawaii. We want some of the time to be relaxing and sightseeing but also to have access to nightlife/clubs. I know someone asked recently about this but didn;t get much of a response. Anyone know where the clubs in Hawaii are? Which Islands?

You need to think about this and learn about. You do NOT want to roll every weekend, although I know that's not what you're talking about. Make sure you know where the pill comes from. Do NOT buy in the club and test it or talk to someone who has taken one from the same batch. Be sure you hydrate yourself if you do take it. Limit or eliminate your alcohol consumption if you take it. Go with the flow and have no worries if you prepare and educate yourself and take it.
15. Napster was told to block copyrighted material. It is up to the record labels to provide Napster with a list of their repertoire which needs to be blocked. Napster was also given a 'loan' by one of the major labels in excess of $50 million to come up with a business model for their service, i.e. a subscription or per download way to charge users. If they came up with a successful mode of business that all the major labels agreed to, they wouldn't have to pay the loan back. The loaning label would get an equity share in Napster. This is where the $5/month thing came from. I think the CEO of Napster said that they were wroking on this subscription model and threw out a $4.95 figure at some conference. The press went nuts with it. They have yet to implement this and as was previously stated, will not just begin billing people. In the same way that you sign up for AOL for $20/month or whores.com for whatever porn sites charge, you may have to sign up for Napster.
16. Secret insider info!!! I work in the music industry which gives me access to some new release information. This is a BMG product which is one of the major labels that I can get info on. Nothing too exciting or impressive but at least I have that in my little bag of tricks.
17. Same thing happened to me a few months ago. Try The Church. Cool venue. I was there 1 night. Decent music and a pretty good vibe. Have fun. [This message has been edited by armada (edited 03-30-2001).]
