Where is everyone heading to this Sat night? I know the Underwear party is going to be at Black, but what else is going on at places like Spirit, Crobar, and Avalon? The reason I ask is because I 'm heading down to the city tonight and I would like to have some options. Any suggestions or info would be very appreciated. Thanks

I know everyone on this board has a different opinion on djs and their mixed cds. I went to Miami a couple of years back and I liked club Space and I know the resident dj there is Oscar G. My question is if anyone has the Oscar G cd live from Space? Is the track selection on it good or not? If so is it worth buying or probably burning from a friend? I just want your straight up opinions on this cd if you have listened to it. Because I was thinking of purchasing it. Your opinions are appreciated!! Thanks

How about the Dress Code at Spirit? What's it like? Could you where Diesels there or are they pretty strict? Is the wait in line long? I guess it doesn't hurt your chances either if you come w/ a group of hot girls too. What time will it be open to? 7-8am?

Where does Escape play these days?

We had many but because of a careless few we all have to suffer for a bit. A majority of the straight after hours crowd are bunch of degenerates!! They just DON'T care about the consequences of their actions!! Well know we all have to pay. I can live it w/it but nonetheless it's selfish on their part!! I'm sure will have one soon. We will have to give it time though.

I guess the only legit afterhours now is JR at Discoteque, Right? Every club owner now is forced to abide by the rules. That's just the way it is. No exceptions or you pay the hard way. As for the dress code you can probably were diesels in there and have no problems right? It probably helps to get there early too? I'll check it out probably just to see what Spirit looks like as well as to hear JP. It's been awhile since I've been in NYC!!

Were Escape and Baez pretty decent? A lot of people are saying the Escape is pretty damn good now? Is that so? Back in the day some would say that he's JR's protege? I doubt that very much though!! As for the people was it packed in there and how was the crowd?

I also taped house sets by Glen Friscia from the Palladium back in the day. That's mad old!! I should go listen to what I have. I hope I could still listen to them?

That's true. I have seen him in the past at Space in Miami, Brazil/Ohm in the Hamptons, and at SF one Thanksgiving eve and he was great each time out!! The cds don't do him justice I know, but they are a tiny sampling of what he can do. You have to hear him live to see what he is capable of. I'm upset that I never got to see him at Arc but hopefully the 5 year anniversary party cd will be better than all his previous cds. I'm going to get some or all of these cds and will get that Arc cd whenever it comes out. DT is the man!!

Will this be an afterhours party or just until 4-5 am? I heard Spirit is a nice looking club inside? Must be a big dancefloor? I did go to Twilo back in the day though and that was a big dancefloor. What will happen to Black/Exit now? Who will spin there now?

So to RECAP: the Athens set and Back to Basics is good? GU London so/so? Are these sets a couple of years old? Back to mine too? Also when will Arc's last party cd be out?

Well I haven't checked in here in ages and now JP's leaving Black... WOW!! Things change in heartbeat around here as well as in the NYC club scene. So when's his last night at Black and what will happen now to Black/Exit? Who will spin there now?
