  1. Same here!!! I guess people knock it because once people move or live in the city they get attitudes and want to be seen at the best night spots. Webster's Hall I guess is not on that list anymore? What one person think's is a great place another does not. I think the true clubbers here know where the best places are to go to. Again it all depends on the individual and where there friends prefer to go. The real clubbers are there for the music while others whom are posers are just at a club to be seen. To each his own I guess?
  2. Last year I went to Webster's Hall on the 4th of july and it happened to be on Fri. I had a pretty good time that night, considering that everyone on these boards knock it. I was wondering if anyone had gone this year and if so to review it. Was it worse than Exit or about the same? Was it open on the 4th or just the days prior? Just curious to know if it was good because I was going to go this past weekend.
  3. Couldn't of said it any better myself Silverbull!! Any person who can't control their drugs is annoying regardless of race. It just seems that a majority of the time it always happens to be a good amount of the asians. I have also dealt w/some of them as well and I do find it annoying, but there are times that it's been the guidos and juiceheads too. NOT all asians are rude and annoying there are some cool ones I know too. At SF it was the juiceheads and at Exit it's the asians. I think people should be able to control there drugs by now so that they don't give there people a bad reputation. Many people never think about this until after the fact!!
  4. I'm waiting for someone from these boards to return from there vacation and then I'll most def meet up. I met her through CP. Summer will be over before you know it!! Are summers are too short and NOT long enough. Got to go out while the weather's bangin!!
  5. Thanks for clarifying what you originally meant. Did JP play bad at Spirit this weekend?
  6. During the early days of SF, yes appearance was important!! People didn't just get in if they had no shirt on outside. I never saw anyone get in w/o wearing something on to cover their chests. Unless it was a special event of sorts. Like a Halloween party or something and someone covered there chest in paint or something. It was after people got inside that they took there shirts off. You had to wear whatever made you sweat less I guess? That place was very uncomfortable during special events. The conditions for the most part during those nights were unbearable!!!
  7. You Deep Dish fans are weak!! Where are all your reviews? Deep Dish was NOT that bad? Or were they?
  8. You Deep Dish fans are weak!! Where are all your reviews? Deep Dish was NOT that bad? Or were they?
  9. SF was def the shiznit back in the day!! If you were a girl you could get in under 21 but if your were a guy under 21 I think you probably had a tougher time of getting in. Paris was really strict w/ ids and appearance back in the day was very important too!!
  10. LOL!!! There are very few options if you're under 21 in the city. Even less if you're a guy under 21 and no women by your side. That's a double NO NO!!
  11. I agree w/ this statement 100%!! People like this just get in the way and clog up the dancefloor. Some just stand on the dance floor and do nothing and become obstacles on the dancefloor. I can't stand when that happens. I end up bumping into all these people which prevents me from dancing!! Those women do want guys to buy them drinks over and over again, that's it. Bunch of gold diggers!! They take up space and contribute nothing to the parties, since most of them just sit there.
  12. People went!! They are just still recovering from that night. I guess people are taking there sweet time in posting?
  13. Damn Still No reviews!!! I guess there are NO real diehard Deep Dish fans on these boards? Diehard my ass!! Will the real Deep Dish fans please say something!! It's as if DD has no fans? That's really messed up!!
  14. I know many heads went to this party!! Since I didn't see any reviews of this party I was just wondering if it was a complete waste of time or if it was a decent party? Any reviews would be a plus. So what happens to Exit now that JP's gone?
  15. How were they able to throw a rave at Macy's or even on a subway? These days that would be too impossible to get away with. I heard that there's some video out there that shows what went on at Limelight back in the day. Thos def were the good old club days. I was in middle school when some of these parties where going down!!
  16. I'll give them there credit where credit's due, those were sick parties that they threw. I have NO problem of going to gay parties, but I have had experiences in the past w/ people whom are gay that cross the line. That's when it becomes a problem after you've told them that you're straight and they don't care. Plus, I also have my beliefs too. God made man and woman for a reason. Everyones entitled to there opinions on this, but this is where I stand. To party though you can be gay or straight, it doesn't really matter. As long as you party responsibly it's all good!!
  17. C'mon people we're still waiting!! Can anyone step up to the plate and dish out a review on that night?
  18. Anyone else go to Crobar to see Deep Dish besides me? I'm sure there were!! I'd like to hear what others thought of them and that night!! Reviews NOW!!
  19. Well since I had never seen Deep Dish and never been to Crobar this was a night of firsts for me. First off I get to the club and just see no order w/ the line. People are one side and some on the other of the front of the club. So what we did was take advantage of that disorder and got in for free. You say well how? The guy who took the tix thought my boy had paid already and so he let him and his fiance in, my boy just acted like he had paid and then since we were all together I tagged along and got in too. This was something that we didn't plan it just happened. I mean I would have paid, but Oh Well snooze you lose. How many times do you go to club and pay alot and NOT have a good time? Probably many. Well anyway this one's on Crobar. I get in and I thought the club was nice, but I didn't really pay attention to the setup. I just went down stairs and through that tunnel to the main dancefloor where Deep Dish was playing. I had never heard them spin or knew what kind of style they played, but I I had to say I liked the set they played. I know it's progressive house, but I don't know who they remind me of? I'm sure there is someone they are similar too. They used some train sounding effects as they mixed in their tracks. My review may not sound too descriptive for those who are diehard fans of his, but it was a pretty good set from when I got there. I got there at 4am. As for the crowd, I don't know what type of crowd goes to Crobar on the weekends, but the people who where there didn't really give me a good vibe. I noticed this when my friends left early. It's as if the people there were acting like a bunch of wannabe clubbers. It's like they go there just to say they went there. When I used to go to SF, people would just start talking to me out of the blue about anything. The difference is noticeable. There were tons of crackheads who went to SF I know, but there were also many cool kids who went there too. That's what Crobar lacked I think. I know the crowds are significantly different, but I just thought the crowd acted as if they were all that. I was kind of disappointed from that aspect, but the club was nice though. Where was the hip hop room anyways? Overall the night of firsts went well.
  20. Anyone know the cover and what the dress code's like for this party or what? It's almost time to get ready. C'mon people I know somebody knows out there!! HELP!!
  21. This is the first time I have heard of it. It seems like it's very underground. Who spins there anyways? The way you describe makes me want to check it out. Hot chicks or just mad cool people in general? Is it big too?
  22. What is the cover to see DD tonight at Crobar? As well as dresscode? This info from anyone would be much appreciated!!
  23. Hey SB where is Shelter? What time is it open until? What type of crowd is it? Would it be better than the Underwear party IYO?
  24. I have heard a lot of good things about DD too. I also too want to know about the style of music they play? What type of house is it? What other djs is their style similar too? Tenaglia? Seaman? It will help me out in making a decision on I where I go out tonight in NYC. Any info would be appreciated.
  25. Is that in the city or in Brooklyn or Queens? That might close early right? It's not an afterhours? Thanks for the 411 Silverbull. Well if anyone else knows of another good party going on tonight please feel free and post your suggestions.
