yeah! his presentation so repulses a friend of mine that she walked out of spundae last time he came and didn't even give his music a chance, which sucks, 'cause i know she'd like him. i thought his whole spandex and wraparound sunglasses-wearing thing was a little cheesy, as was his "are you ready to get scummy?" query, the first time i saw him, but his set more than made up for that. you can't judge this man by his cover!!!

i work in a camera store; i'd advise that you not get that camera. the picture quality on the stills is horrendous. you really shouldn't go below 3.2 megapixels. i don't know what your budget is, but a great cheap digital camera is canon's a70. it's got a lot of features, has a hard plastic-covered screen (more protected than those of many other cameras), has sound as well as video, and has most of its functions on a dial on top of the camera, making it easy and quick to get to the one you wanna use. there are many modes you can use, from full to semi-automatic to fully manual. this allows for more control than a lot of other cameras that don't let you do the work yourself. my company sells it for $249; i don't know if you can get it for much cheaper than that. the only problem with this camera is that it's in such high demand that it can be hard to find. to add to bigsteve8's post, there is more than one canon elph. their newest one is the s400, is a 4 megapixel camera, and'll run you about $499. i don't know if that was the one to which he was referring . and as elementx says, one really has to get video and still camreas separately. the resolution of still pictures on video is terrible, and the video clips on still cameras are way too short (just to mention one problem).

i won't be going to that for a bunch of reasons (mostly monetary), but i was at spundae the night that cd was recorded. a great night . the record label (i think it was moonshine) had an ingenious ploy to get people to buy the cd: they had a signup sheet where people could put their names to have them written in the liner notes.

sheesh, lalate, i've been trying to hold my tongue for so long, but i really find it offensive, shallow, and tacky that you always feel you have the right to judge other people's "hotness" and that you determine whether or not a club/event is worth attending based on your opinion of other people's looks. i wish i didn't feel so strongly that i had to say this, but grow up.

man, what a night! this past saturday at spundae was great . i had never seen seb fontaine and was there for the scumfrog, but consider myself really lucky to have caught seb. seb's set was really high energy and always engaging. the opening dj (i think it was tim lawson) was such a snooze that my friend and i had to sit outside through his entire set; i can't remember the last time that's happened at spundae . but seb turned it around with his first track. the scumfrog's set was a big change from seb's, though, which really bugged my friend. scum brought a really dark, sexy groove, and my friend was annoyed that seb had gotten us all into an energetic frenzy, only to be brought down by the frog. "where is he going?" my friend asked. and even though i was really enjoying the scumfrog's set a whole lot, i'll admit he did kinda remind me of how tired i was. my friend and i didn't stay all to the end. but the place was still packed when we left at 3:something. great, great, music - no complaints. overall, a terrific night . and i ran into bluecenterstar while there!!! cool chica, good to see her. i run into cpla people every now and again; this should happen to you guys too. we need to have a real meetup!!!
