  1. http://www.bored.com http://www.oddtodd.com What is it that you do for work that work alone doesn't occupy your time?
  2. Another bed at the same price. i called and found that my room has only 1 bed, which is too bad for when a friend asked me about sharing a room.
  3. Wow that's quite a drive! I remember Space having a policy for Saturday/Sunday AM, of no shorts, sneakers, hats. Meanwhile, they didn't have that a few days earlier, at their 4th of July party. That's why I want to know for sure, if possible.
  4. Have you registered for the actual conference, or do you plan to do so? I'm just wondering if I'll need to (or if I should) do so if I'm planning to mainly just hit the parties. The seminars sound quite interesting, but it seems there won't be much time to do both. Maybe next time I'll go to attend them.
  5. I wonder if the people running the hotels check discussion boards like these... $65, choosing 1-star Got Starlite on Ocean Drive Could I have done better, with either a higher minimum number of stars or a lower price? Someone please tell me how crappy it is
  6. try these sites: http://www.hotels.com http://www.hoteldiscounts.com http://www.orbitz.com http://www.expedia.com http://travel.yahoo.com (or http://www.travelocity.com ) Search for "Miami Beach" so that you don't get downtown hotels listed first. Maybe you won't find the ones mentioned on the board, but you'll find something If you see hotels on Collins Drive, you probably want a number lower than 3000. It's a long road. You can get lower prices by pre-paying, but even those deals seem to be going fast. or if you'll take any place that will take your price, try Priceline That's what I did. Choose only South Beach, or else you might get a place a bit far away
  7. Are there any events in which I (or anyone else) should just not bother going to, if I don't know someone involved with it? Of course it's a non-issue cuz I could get all the hook-ups I need thru this board, right?
  8. Do any of the WMC venues/events usually have dress codes? I'd like to know before I go, and if possible, be comfortable.
  9. And next Monday, Meet My Folks starts again... 10 pm, right after Joe Millionaire
  10. If you get WLNY (55 on Time Warner Cable), Elimidate is also on at 11:30 pm
  11. oh looks like re-runs on TNN... I just saw either 1998 or 1999 mentioned in the credits the picture quality looked better though
  12. 10 pm, on E!, of course and replays throughout this week and next New show with the new host http://www.eonline.com/On/Wild/index.html If you haven't been there before, you can get a taste of it, especially if you're gonna be a first-timer in March... dang, I must be a TV junkie
  13. the 12:30 am show is on TNN, not UPN ex-treme dating is still on UPN - looks like reruns though at midnight, i guess you have your choice between TNN and UPN i believe shipmates is on during the daytime - 1:30 pm on UPN (or WWOR)
  14. Yes they are, with bonus footage added! http://www.fox.com/joem/
  15. Interesting, but it's gonna lose the ratings war to the Bachelorette
  16. Oh man... started just last week... Happens on weekdays... On (the new) TNN, 6:30, 7:30, midnight, and 12:30 - actually the late shows change times, so check listings On UPN at 1pm (I guess I'll need to set my VCR or get a Tivo to catch that), and as usual at midnight - I wonder if this is any different from what is on TNN at that time Also on Sundays on TNN, 11 & 11:30 pm Looks like the new episodes are shown on TNN, but if they're like what I just saw today, it looks like they cut the segment at the end, i.e. Hall of Shame, Cutting Room Floor, etc.
  17. Yeah, I loved that! Seems like my idea of a romantic date.
  18. If you missed either of the first two episodes, they'll both be re-broadcasted on Thursday
  19. Hey thanks all Wow, I tried Priceline this morning and got a room on Ocean Drive! Does anyone know about the Starlite? It's probably a crappy place, but I think that's ok. After all, if I can help it, I'm not gonna sleep much there. I'm curious - does the 12% tax rate apply to downtown hotels as well?
  20. It will probably be on the Friday night, not Thursday (when Nick Warren is scheduled) Pete Tong is listed on the GBH schedule http://www.gbh.tv/schedule.html The Essential Mix probably won't be a true "live" broadcast, since it would air Saturday 9 pm EST, which is a bit too early for most clubbers... it would be more like tape-delayed, from Friday.
  21. I believe Arc is the only club that doesn't serve alcohol. Always 18+. Great DJ's from around the world. Webster Hall is always 19+ On Fridays, you could also try Exit If you're here during a holiday weekend, there will probably also be a few No-ID parties, usually on the Sunday. I could be wrong, but you'll be hard-pressed to find celebs at under-21 places. Maybe those teenage singers/actors are exceptions - has anyone seen any in the clubs? Has anyone seen any celebs at Arc?
  22. Would it be any helpful to have a rental car during the WMC? Or would it be more of a hassle, like with traffic and parking? I'm debating between whether to do that + keep the cheap downtown hotel reservation I have, or go for a more expensive SoBe hotel and walk or cab around (i.e. not rent a car). Actually, it seems at this point that the only non-mainland hotels that I've found, and are in my price range, are outside SoBe, the nearest of which is just past the end of Washington Ave. I'm also thinking that the treks between downtown (Space and Ultra) and SoBe might be a factor to consider.
  23. Could be Onionz http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/events/new_york.shtml
  24. If you're gonna spend a lot of time at Space, stay in downtown (mainland) Hotels are cheaper there... cuz most of the action is on South Beach (technically the southern part of Miami Beach, which stretches pretty far north) I believe most of the clubs are on or near Washington Ave I think Collins below 23 (?) St is good Ocean Drive is right along the beach, and there's a lot going on there. If there's anything left there, it will cost you even more than the already high prices elsewhere on South Beach. Has anyone tried Priceline? What kinds of results for you?
  25. Is that what the Music Factory is? I thought maybe a stadium would be used, cuz you might need that much space for the number of people who will attend That's certainly the case in NYC You know you're a good DJ when you can draw a crowd in Ohio
