  1. She needs a Sat nite party Roxy is gay on Saturdays Shelter is 21+
  2. Hush is now Discotheque http://www.discothequenyc.com You could also try Centro-Fly For both, you'll need to check on whether they have hip-hop playing on the night you go.
  3. Coolness. So when is Oakie gonna get you a spot at Pacha?
  4. Someone correct me if I'm wrong... Oliver Berge opening then Astroglyde 1-4 am then S&P from 4 am til close (10:30) maybe there was some switching off after I left at 6
  5. According to what I saw on other boards... Tiesto played from 1-5 am, so for 4 hours It was rated as "OK" but not so special to be worth paying so much for The person who reviewed was a lucky bastard who got free passes And his friends - one of them was let in for free by the bouncer, and another came at 2 am and paid $50 Liam Kennedy opened and closed
  6. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there aren't too many options for the under-21 crowd on Saturdays For trance, go to Arc! John 00 Fleming will be playing there. If you must have musical variety, Webster Hall is an option. But I think what you gain in quantity, you'll lose in quality. Limelight had multiple rooms, but I don't know what it is like as Estate now.
  7. I forgot to mention before... if you weren't there at the party, you can see scenes from it on the upcoming Arc DVD
  8. Is PVD on Feb 21 still going to be at the Roxy? If so, cool but it would be interesting if the hip-hop heads come that night expecting to hear hip-hop If PVD is going to moved to Exit, will he be allowed to spin a 6+ hour set?
  9. The event at Limelight (Estate) was cancelled
  10. There's also this event but I know nothing about it http://www.naughtybooth.com/board/calendar.php?action=getinfo&eventid=2747
  11. Seemed like a night for many Arc virgins to come and get deflowered
  12. Try Centro-Fly Resident DJ's Low End Specialists spinning
  13. With all the people I saw there, it made me wonder who on this board didn't go to Arc
  14. If anyone forked over the money to see and hear it at the World for NYE, how did it go and was it worth it?
  15. Fantastic night! Perhaps the best value in the city on this night, especially in light of all the complaints about the $100+ parties that happened elsewhere Too bad it was cut short for me (at around 6 am), as a friend thought she had to leave early to catch a bus, but it turned out that her plans for the next morning were cancelled. Before we went there, we tried to go into Centro-Fly first, since my friend had heard those DJ's before, but was not familiar with Saeed & Palash. But when we arrived, the line was ridiculously long! So right away we jumped into a cab and headed down to Hubert & Hudson. Less than 5 minutes in line there (at around 11 pm), though I heard it got worse later on. Seemed there were some Arc newbies there in line with us. They were startled when they overheard me say to another newbie "No alcohol, other than champagne". Then one of them asked "Is this a good club?" Also funny was how inside the "no" on the sign "There will be no alcoholic beverages served tonight" next to the cashier was covered up. The arcade did get quite packed when it opened, but the main floor seemed to have enough space for everyone, even with the number of people there. It was the first time I saw people in Arc who were all dressed up. But they all seemed to disappear by 4 am, and were replaced by the Arc regulars. If there was anything to complain about, it was that main bar was chaotic, with all the people wanting (free) champagne, and only one person serving. Also, there were people hogging space at the bar - just get your drinks and go away! If you want another round, wait your turn for it! Don't stay there, sip your champagne there, and expect to get refills right away! After we found out about the change of plans, we did afterhours at Filter 14. I wasn't feeling the music too much there. They ended at around 9 am.
  16. I saw the events listing board inside the club, but there hasn't been mention of some of the events here Well, you know about j00f on Jan 4 and Jeff Mills on Jan 11 but what you might not know - for Jan 18, "Gatecrasher" is listed. Yay, more trance at Arc! If the lineup hasn't been set yet, it would be cool to have Eddie Halliwell there (since someone mentioned him a short time ago), along with some other big name. Jan 25 is Sander Kleinenberg, opening by Oliver Berge (who opened for the NYE party as well as for Picotto) I guess no Howells this month.

  18. Granted I haven't been to Tronic too many times, I never before saw the place as packed as it was last night.
  19. Get the party started early On http://www.id-t.com , starting at noon EST today (the times here are in Central Europe Time, which is 6 hours ahead of us) http://www.id-t.com/portal/page-radio.php?newsid=80 darn, I can't copy and paste the schedule See for yourself - it includes sets by Marco V and Sven Vath Also: tomorrow, DJ Astrid live at Dance Valley Thursday, Armin (probably a recording - could be of a live set!) followed by a set by Cor Fijneman Saturday, there will be a broadcast of 6 hours from Innercity, 2-8 pm EST
  20. Does anyone remember that set that Johnny Vicious played on KTU on NYE 2000->2001 ? Does anyone know if anyone is scheduled to spin on the radio this time around, who might deliver a set of such quality, that should be recorded? Any info on set times? KTU (and perhaps other stations) usually has a marathon mixshow session on NYE & New Years Day, so I thought there might be a chance.
  21. What was the best set you downloaded in 2002? Again a tough choice for me, my choice is Tiesto's 7-hour Dutch Dimension (2/2/2002) set I've got some major cleaning up of my hard drive to do, to make room for sets in 2003! I'll use my xmas gift - a Best Buy gift card - to get CD-R's to archive all the stuff. On a side note, the checkout counter at the Best Buy in Manhattan (23 St & 6 Ave) is way understaffed every time I go there!
