What a brutal night... Got there a little earlier.... Got trashed, went at it with some chick for hours... ( left my drivers license & credit card there... left by 6 am, and never saw Sander and got ripped by my friends (who don't even know who he is)... b/c he didn't show up. Turns out he was after hours... Clearly, Something that could've been brought to my attention YESTERDAY!!!! (for the sandler references...) Ugh.... the set by the miami locals was good though. And its not like I can complain, I got in for free! But definitely would've rather seen Sander (since I flew in from NY to see him). Help please, does anyone know a phone number to contact somebody at space (not the regular number which is just a recording). I need my Driver's License & Credit Card back! And i'm in NY... or SOL? Thanks a bunch!

For the few times/year they have electronic events, NOTHING, compares to Mayan Theatre... The only place I've ever been where the sound is pumping anywhere in the club, just as loud as if you were in front of a speaker... awesome venue. But as for regular clubs... I'll go with Space in Miami... 24 hour liquor license, closing at 2pm... that's part of its attraction! I unfortunately never saw Twilo, or any of the extinct clubs in NY. But none of the venues currently are all that. How different is Avalon from Limelight? Since the building is the same?

Does anyone have lineup updates on Avalon/Spirit/Black/Crobar for the weekend of June 18/19? Have my brother comin for my graduation... and would like to hit up a couple of these places... Thanks!

Oh, but a side note... we got in for 15 bucks. That's like Sander paying me to hear him spin! That makes the night acceptable! nevermind i still dropped 200 overall...

Yeah, I gotta say he disappointed me last night. I guess I was expecting WMC sander, and got mainstream... The first two hours were awful, it could've been joe anybody spinning... He got better around 3 ish... stayed until 5ish by then I knew he wasn't going to turn it up a notch... But I liked the crowd... a ton of ladies, and a bunch of gay guys (not a problem, that just means more girls for me!)... Oh well... This just raises the question for future sets at crobar... if named DJ's go there, will they tone it down?

actually, i loved it... one time they had a promotion there... 12.50/night. 4 of us stayed there for a couple nights... brutal 6 bucks each! For 12.50/night, I guess I wouldn't mind staying there either.

gotta agree with him... circus circus was good, oh about 20-30 years ago! as the newer hotels come up (they are usually further and further away from where circus circus & stratosphere are)... so that end of the strip becomes dead.

I read about the 20,000 music fans, but every freakin hotel is like 300/night! I assume there's a convention or something, is this true? Anyone know what's going on next weekend, it would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Great reveiew. Just a quick question, about the best places on the best nights... It seems like Ra is the place to be on Thursdays? Fridays either Rain or ICE? (for the progressive house/dance/trance lover, but who are with others that like something else)

60 bucks for sasha & digger? Holy cow!!! What moron paid that? Well, I did fork over 40 but that was a delta heavy set at WMC... underground clubs... sullivan club is nice... and its literally underground! good music, and not commercialized. and its for the music only.

I'm going to be in Vegas from the 19-22... I plan on PVD @ Ra on the 21st, but need some help on the clubbing scene on mondays/tuesdays I'm sure most of the clubs are closed... anyone have a site, link, or info on events?

Armin definitely had the best set of the WMC (its too bad many went elsewhere)... But Sander was so impressive, that I'm goin to crobar. I didn't like roxy all that much, lot of kids, and also my g/f wants to see crobar. as for the bitchin about prices... def. 40-50 to see anyone is ridiculous. 25.00 is about average. But I was just saying how avalon, has some odd nights where its 15... or even FREE admission before a certain time (in boston though)... and for named DJ's!!! I'll be at crobar...21 & over... b/c i don't need to see 14 year olds with fake id's.

25.00 in advance for Sander... 25.00 for Armin... man... How come when Avalon has some star DJ's every once in a while they'll pump out a reduced admission or free admission gimmic? Like Ferry Corsten for 15.00. I'd like that for these guys, but it seems unlikely. maybe more at the door? sheesh! But it is sander.

tiesto has gotten quiet b/c he rarely comes to the US now... Some of Tiesto's newer stuff isn't all that great (Love Comes Again) but PVD has been producing some great tracks... So I'll take Tiesto's older stuff, and PVD's newer stuff.

first, i love go go dancers, and i don't mind their bored expressions, I don't want to know what they're feeling! yes i've seen guy go go's in NY (left the place immediately) mostly b/c the place stunk it up! choreographed stuff? I guess... but not like what century club used to do...where they have performers on stage, and everyone crowds them, and then they have fashion shows or what not... well whatever floats your boat... But go go dancers are great... as long as they're hot. I've seen some fugly women in NY... hurtin!

That depends on what you're looking for... Mega dance clubs? Lounges? Smaller dance clubs? The big dance clubs are Webster Hall (tourists), Black (if its open), Avalon, Crobar, Spirit... (and I'm sure there are more) The best dance club is arc, but they don't serve alcohol and its 18 & over (which affects a lot of dance clubs here...) Centrofly is decent... the others are small timers, older crowd, usually crappy sound systems, and problems at the door...

This one is tough... Armin vs. Sander... While I'm typing this I'm listenin to a A State of Trance set by Armin... But I'm 100% going to be at Sander... his sets @ Ultra & Miami Space Terrace were off the hook. It also helps that my g/f hasn't been to crobar yet... plus i'm bettin that Crobar will be cheaper than AVB's @ Roxy. --- Note to Sander, please drop Matthew Dekay's Intergalactic... i'll be the one going ballistic!

For next year, camera's aren't a problem any kind anywhere... they hardly check you, even at ultra, i had no problem bringing it in... I thought Space would revoke the pass, so I didn't bring it the first night (PVD), but they weren't even searching... they just had warning signs posted on the screens occasionally... could've had more pics for the trip, but I think I landed a good share...
