  1. thank u'r lucky stars u didn't go. the crowd was older, but most likely not from the scene. if they would go clubbing more often they wouldn't be so damn overweight. he wasn't very good, at least he spun better sets before, but i don't blame him. i bet he was turned off by the crowd. seriously, why bother wasting energy spinning a good set if very few if any are into the scene there anyway and could care less? they wouldn't have known who he was anyway. you could have played shit like justin timberlake and christina agulara and they still would have danced. i am in such disbelief. but i'll definitely try a thursday. i wish dave attell would record an insomniac episode at that place on a sat night, pretty bad.
  2. yeah, that's what i thought. i'll try a thursday night. thx. what's the crowd like on thursday? like arc people? or ?? but the fashion capital of the world is supposedly nyc.
  3. me: either 70's for studio 54 or the 1920's. the 60's perhaps for that velvet underground / warhol thing
  4. they're very cool. I just know saeed is from iraq and they're from dc. so worth the $$!
  5. Honestly, i want to understand, i'm not trying to put it down. Perhaps I went on a bad night? Is there anyone who feels the same? I read the good reviews on cp and went. I realize diff ppl have diff taste, but why is it that some ppl despise sf & exit when IMO sf & exit are far better, even now. i didn't like the vibe at all. isn't it a place where u must dress "acceptably"? so much for that. ...i'll never make fun of another guido again. This is what I observed: - way too many overweight females wearing brand names that don't fit / don't look good on them. They were proudly displaying their cellulite and bulging stomachs. Those "trendy / trying to be fashionable" guys were after them too. OMG - guys who still have the ricky martin hair style - too many guys with blue jeans / pants and a button down white t-shirt w/ that stupid left hand movement - the music sucked so bad. i'm just glad it was $15 not $30. - many girls had had bang bang style clothing from an expensive store. - I noticed that many guys actions tended to synchronised, very strange I was only glad I attended for 1 reason: smoking is allowed there, and i would rather support clubs w/ smoking cuz the ban is rediculous just to make a statement in one tiny perhaps insignificant in the long run way. i can't believe this is happening to nyc. why? why?
  6. so who was there? how was the meet up?
  7. HE KICKED ASS!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT PLACE WAS OFF THE HOOK!!!!! WHERE THE FUCK WAS EVERYONE? i waited and waited at the mens room and then gave up and went dancing but what a night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  8. Biologically speaking that is a silly statement to whoever made it up. aerobic means requiring oxygen, and obviously when humans breathe they need oxygen. as opposed to anaerobic respiration? thats for bacteria. doesn't make sense
  9. that's cool, someone else wants to go too on the thread "avb meetup" i don't know a single person on this board. pm me
  10. cool. how will you know who the cp people are? some of us don't know the others
  11. thanx. good it's barcelona, i thought it would be some loser team like the USA mlb football teams. i can't believe the coolest team on earth decided to go to dc of all places in the usa but i'm glad.
  12. me too, i'll see mark farina some other time. i wish there would be a meet up.
  13. you didn't hear about that film? perhaps cuz it's an independant film. it's about the euro students in spain sharing a flat it's sooo good. the film said it means pudding.
  14. oh my god!! is this true? my friend sent me an email about it. yes yes yes!!!!!!! Are they coming to NYC?
  15. check out that njguido site. people submitted essays w/ titles like: "the eternal guido in me" "guidette from birth" "memoirs of an aspiring guido" lol "only half a guido" the person is sad they are only half a guido? lol. wtf is that?
  16. i am. i have heard so much about him, i wonder what's the big deal with him.
  17. he touches everything with his hands and serves it to people. yuck. the people don't object they happily eat. even worse. the same goes for that "naked chef" guy. god knows where there hands have been. it reminds me of that seinfeld episode where the chef went to the restroom and didn't wash his hands and everyone got sick.
  18. i don't know how to spell it but that is one good film. it had it's funny moments, check it out if you have a chance. it has the girl from "amelie" & "happenstance". worth the $
  19. it's soo great! i can't wait until dave attell goes back there.
  20. i guess some girls find it attractive, since it's those guys that get the most. ick let me guess, they own suv's too which are all paid for? i used to be a member of "Results, the gym " in dc and i can't think of a single pet peave there. At bally's i can go on forever, but it serves it's purpose, & provides many laughs.
  21. exactly. i was surprised how their flyers say: "proper attire required: no sneakers, no jeans, no hoods, etc" and they let in a ton of people wearing the supposedly forbidden clothing. doesn't make sense. i'll assume it's some image hypocrisy thing.
  22. oops, i just contradicted myself. you DO need a fake id to get in, at least i do. apparently there must be that many fake id's in this city that the bouncers can't tell a fake id from a real one and insist the fake one's are real. that happened to a friend of mine too, so he carries his passport around since he's tired of the hassle at the door.
