  2. i speak arabic fluently (read and write perfectly, any dialect). my russian is pretty good as well. right now i'm working on italian. having studied latin and german, i am finding italian to be easy.
  3. cyprus is nice but cuz the island is divided you see so many abandoned bldgs everywere from the turks who left to remind everyone of the tension. i had some good times there. best food, best time. that's the life
  4. those were friendly matches they'll be back
  5. helloooooooooooo...we're joking about it. the only thing I find pathetic is your lack of a sense of humour.
  6. no no no...... in baseball they just sit, in football they run around but they burn some energy. they get paid all that $$$ to just sit!!!! in baseball, you hit the ball, run around the diamond and that's it. it think it's a cultural thing perhaps, & some of us are baseball haters.
  7. any suggestions other than the factory? thx
  8. or when i'm at the football match and guys behind me say: "cafu do this, no do that, sheva....come on sheva, ...wtf are u thinking" "maldini don't kick it there, no no no!!!" THEY CAN'T HEAR U!! unless your name is ancellotti they won't listen!!!!! del piero...are you...blind? trezeget wtf are u doing!!" etc amusing.
  9. they're only expensive here cuz that sport isn't very popular (like basketball, american football, and baseball) go elsewhere in the world and the shirts are cheap everyone is wearing an umbro shirt
  10. that's what i told someone and they got offended cuz it's "americas fav pasttime" just a bunch of fat ppl who sit around the whole time, then run around a diamond. you want a real sport...it's called football
  11. verizion fucking sux. wtf is this? I had an individual plan and then switched to the family plan, and the clowns never bothered to fax it in to their head quarters or whatever. I just spent an hour with them on the phone due to their negligence. now i must fill out more paperwork cuz they wrote my info wrong. I just found a place in astoria where I get a bad connection too.
  12. um yes.... and most of the posts after retreiving club 5 are regarding dj xyz spinning at club 5. clubs change too. it may be good one month and suck later, so I ask. Note I asked about the ppl and vibe not which dj is spinning that night, hence the search much use w/ regard to that.
  13. how is this place? vibe? ppl? is it the old buzz crowd?
  14. i have verizon familyshare, only $20/ month nationwide. i tried other phones like sprint & voicestream & they didn't have as broad a range as verizon. they don't connect in areas that you expect would have a connection. i don't like verizon but it's a decent rate.
  15. i am currently drinking scan vanilla shake, it tastes like rotten coconut, but works. The strawberry shake tasted like butter. my third shake brand any suggestions? thanx
  16. i'm not italian (the flag is for my fav football team). my culture is patriarchal too, but the wife never changes her name. It's considered to be disowning your heritage and family if you do, and a woman's rights issue too. to each her own
  17. they play it all the time on the IFC channel. so worth it. great great film
  18. In my culture, women never in a million years change their names to their husbands, or even hyphenate it. The thought doesn't even occur to them. They like to retain their own identity. I know this may be a naive question but: Why do women here do it? I know it's a personal choice, but why would any female do it (unless for tax purposes or similar)? It's not their last name, it's their husbands. it seems sexist. good question: why can't a man change his to his wife's name?
  19. how is it (in comparison to centro-fly, perhaps) ? crowd? music? vibe?
  20. omg!! does this mean no more danny t? no no no!!!! this can't be true
  21. on what street is remi? what night did u go?
  22. i went there, it's flooded with greek ppl, not much diversity. it's ok, i think that's the place that thought my id was fake, or was it another place? I can't remember. decent looking crowd, especially the guys, younger crowd I guess it's ok for nights where you don't feel like going to the city.
