  1. I hear ya girl, two things that are not discussed in the workplace, Religion and Politics. ( unless you work in the vatican !!!! )
  2. A) Not everyone who has attended a "utopia" function is 40, and I dont care about age, it is about vibe/personality..... You arent going to make many friends in here with that attitude.
  3. Hey anything worth saying, is worth saying twice
  4. But oooh my goodness let me tell you guys about my experience at the vangard this last weekend, I had a friend drag me there on Sat.,which is apparently hip/hop night, and oooooohhhh my goodness. There was like 3 fights, that I saw, one girl who pushed me out of the way to walk by me on the dancefloor, all the while cussing at me to move out the way b***h!, her friend behind her shaking her head to ignore her, Then I got my drink totally knocked out of my hand, and gave my friend a vodka bath. Man it was a total nightmare. Hope that kind of crowd isnt there that night.
  5. I use to share your opinion, but he was pretty good at sports arena for NYE. so he has earned a second chance in my book. But hey if everyone is thinking about going, I might be game seeing as I have the next day off.

    Horrible !

I agree with Vicman, a place with that kind of prereq to get in is def not a place I want to be anyway. A bunch of plastic ass peeps, that are full of themselves thhhhhhh. Hey weyes then we should have a club that is for cool people, down to earth, and dont bother unless your in love with the music and the vibe.
  7. I know I know that we have all discussed avalon ad nausium, but if we all go together we can make it super fun.... I really want to see Ferry!!! Come on weyes, shorty, l a l a t e, juddy lets go Pleeeeaaaasee:biggrin:
  8. The only afterhours I ever attended religiously was insomnia, in that super shady part of town. But it like many things got trendy, and shadier. The last thing I heard was that it got shot up and shut down. RIP my little hole in the wall:nopity:
  9. Yeah sometimes my sinus headache's are so bad I have to use my humidifier. As for the shower, that is also one of the few places I find relief, those shower soothers sound like a good idea too.
  10. Wow man, now thats a question I seriously have to think back on....But I do beleive that it was the year 1993 and the man was Doc Martin, where is anyones guess, if ya know what im sayin:smile2:
  11. Me no sabo either, I did see a girl who was overweight and had belly hangin out her shirt that had stretch marks? It is soo weird, that night I even overheard the security guy remarking about how horrid the female aspect of the crowd was.
  12. And um oh yeah, the weather. Dude, I've been taking my claritin-D like crazy this winter:boohoo:
  13. In customer service classes they always teach that more people will talk about a negative experience they had, than people that had a positive experience...So we are all venting about an issue/experience we know could be, and has been better. I have to admit though you guys always make me laugh/smile, and Weyes dahlin I Love to talk about events, music, and people I had a great time with. Gotta spread the good vibes too whenever they happen.
  14. Oh my goodness, that night was a mess, I am so glad that the people that I was trying to get in via guestlist didnt go. Only people who had already bought tickets went. I know what you mean about the line. I was standing in it when the security guy came and broke the will call/guestlist line in half because we were blocing the exit/entrance to the lot. Then when they did start finally letting us in we had to squeeze through this narrow space between the wall and the gate. NO fat person could have fit there! Good show, definitely mixed vibes. I am glad that we met up with some super cool Colombian people and danced in our little corner all night. But I agree not Avalons best night.
  15. The earlier the better, will call always gets in first. My husband, myself and a few of our friends are going for his 30th b-day, and we are gonna try to get a few people in guest list, we are going to be there by 10pm. So I am hoping that it will at least get us in, maybe no discount tonight, but hopefully in front of general admission. Good Luck, hope to see ya there. I will be wearing a black shirt with a turtle on its back:)

    Utopia

I had the pleasure of knowing this little piece of heaven a few years back. I saw Electric Sky Church there I had a blast!
  17. Tell me about it, cali is the only place where you see people wearing shorts, flip flops with a jacket and beany. Guess that would make a person ready for any weather. hee, hee, hee
  18. Hey bugler! how was your trip you'll have to give me the lowdown on the trance clubs you found. I am heading out to London and Munich for ocktoberfest in Sept. ( yes I know weird, octoberfest in Sept.) And would love any insite you might have to offer a clubby friend
  19. AWWW man! I hope you go. If not we have to get together for Mr. Corsten in Feb!!
  20. Hey Weyes, I just thought I would let ya know I was looking at the groove tickets calendar and there was another date for deep dish somewhere else but it did indicate that it was only Sharam (sorry if its spelled wrong) So I think that is a pretty safe bet that they will both be there. So..
  21. I agree, we need to give praise as often as possible to positive experiences. Maybe they would happen more often.
  22. EEEwwwgh Spooky. Glad to report our group, the guys out number us chikas! But I am glad they were O.K.

    Tiesto

Man o man that sounds like it was one hell of a show!!!! I was listening to PVD NYE @ L.A. sports arena, I had fun, but sounds like you had a blast. Thats awsome!
  24. I've walked (read: meandered, swayed and stumbled) from ICE to Drai's (on the Strip) the strip before and it's about a 20-25 minute walk. ICE to Aladdin may not be the most well-lit nor safest stretch to walk at 4AM, but when you're with a small group of buzzed individuals, man do you feel invulnerable.
