You are right.....I meant it is shallow...or at least that it can be perceived as shallow. I should have taken this thought one step further. If I didn't really care what other's thought of how I look, then I would put in less efforts every morning to look the best I can. It would be easier if I was able to roll out of bed, have my shower, put whatever on and go...thus not pre-occupying myself on hair, makeup and clothes. It's easier!!! BUTBUTBUT --- my vanity takes over and I want to look as good as I can because it makes me feel good, I like it when others glance in my direction and if people don't like what they see....really not my problem because I like what I see!!! To be arrogant for a moment, people who look and don't like what they see on my outside (thus not giving me a real chance) are missing out. It does take effort to get to know someone for who they really are.....but that's the exciting part. Another 0.02 cents from Lexxxi!!!

I must agree with back2basics. I thought that porn would be great if it were to the music I like but it's the cheezy music that helps to make porn that much more enjoyable.....but now that I am on the phone with my PORN, half the time we have the movie on mute and the stereo blaring.....that kind of blows my point!!! PORN and I went to see him in November 2000 at The Guvernment in Toronto, Canada. Ok...I am going to try and stay on the original thread topic. I read everyones posts and I just want to give my piece at this point. I am not defending or defuncting anyone. I do not believe I know everything. This has been my observations/experiences. I believe the following is true for many people in society.... magazines, runway models, strippers, music/movie/porn stars, people in a crowd and anyone else that is considered "hot" may make people (male or female) feel undesirable, unattractive and generally unwanted. I have close friends that suffered from bulemia because they felt inferior to these "people of beauty". The society we live in has a strong essence of "if you look good then you must be good". But, I must say, alot of us fall victim to it. Some examples that I am think we can all relate to are: 1 --- when I see a great looking guy or girl, I will do a double take purely based on looks (I am an animal after all)...it's the way it goes. 2 --- if I am done up for an evening and I think I look good and no one makes a positive comment, I will get a feeling of "I must be unattractive". 3 --- I have met people who will base who they hang with purely on how those people look. It's sad...there is so much more to people than this. The one thing I do love about most of the people I know/met is they take the intial glance a step further...not make snap judgements (and I have made snap judgements myself...guilty as charged). This step further is --- if I meet someone I like, I could give a shit what they look like, how much money they have, what they drive, etc. If they are genuine, then that's all I need and I want to hang with them. It makes me feel good to be surrounded by people who see me for who I am and like it (or dislike it, if need be) and I hope that I make them feel good too. There is more to life than muscles, hair and makeup (and I like these things too..but they are not the ultimate priority)! Now, this being said, I do not consider myself some sort of godess. Anyone who knows me knows this. Looks wise, I am average but I do like to try to look good --- do my hair, put on a little makeup and dress nicely. I am shallow this way and I can accept that. It took a long time for me to realize that the first thing I should worry about is what I think of myself...what others think of me comes secondary. I like to believe I have some very excellent qualities...and I think that it is these qualities my friends and loved ones have come to enjoy the most about me. I know....easier said than done!!! Ok....I am done.....boy can I yap!!!

It started a addiction to porn magazines, porn movies and porn stars. Once all that was taken into consideration my PORN (my BF) came up with a name that sounded like a porn star name with the triple X included. Do any of expect anything less from PORN!!!!

Actually...I use to have no real threatening problems with female friends (how naive) until I found out that almost every one of my friends went behind my back and twisted the knife they stuck there over and over again. I was dating this piece of shit years ago (he is just as much to blame as the women). They all slept with him...thus I am very cautious about making friends with women. I don't want to have to compete with friends for attention and affection. I have a few now that are awesome and non-threatening. My experience in the past few years...I find male friends have been there for me as listeners and shoulders to put my head on moreso than women have. Of course, there is the chance that the men we make friends with may have other motives but I believe in my case they don't...I could just be naive again!!! I guess the best thing to do is try to give everyone a chance and try not to judge them instantly based on their sex. It's difficult but sometimes it's worth a try!!!

One popular phrase is "I hooked up with her at....". This obviously just means to meet someone for a drink, dinner, etc. With regards to sexual behavior, I think "hooked up" use to mean just making out (like when our parents were younger)....but I think through time it just came to mean "any action at all". Thus, when a person says they "hooked up" with someone (wink wink nudge nudge), we (as onlookers) have to ask for a definition of what they meant. Make sense?!?!?!?!

That is the funniest thang!!! In the summer when I wear open toe shoes, that is my biggest phobia. People try to tell me other people won't notice.....nice to know I was right!!!!

I HAVE DEF. met a few meatheads that are great, down to earth, kind and fab to dance/hang with. I believe in giving everyone a chance. But, unfortunately, I have to agree, alot I have met are rude, obnoxious, violent and general morons. Sorry to all those women who love them. I have met some that are huge yummies in all aspects too. But, everytime I go to a club filled with these type of men, I go home with bruises and I am generally annoyed. One instance was at EXIT when this giant guy pushed me HARD on my ass for NO reason. He just turned, pointed and laughed why the rest of his clan tried to tell me "Oh he's just like that". That is one of many stories!
