  1. anybody? any ideas of what's going on thursday? is CORE happening, and if so, who's gonna be there?
  2. i sincerely wish everyone on the l.a. board a happy whatnot! thanks to all who've been coming around lately for a great year, and here's to the revival of the best - the westsiiiiiiiiiiddde!!!
  3. welcome misskittie, from a fellow new yorker! it's gonna kick ass!
  4. just had to bump this up with the comment that it's funny as hell and not at all surprising that only 15 people on the sex board have read this topic .
  5. sounds to me like cases of the holiday blues. i'm doing much better this year, thanks to not going home for christmas (draaaaaama) and having moved to warm and sunny l.a. but since those aren't options for everyone, being around friends over new years is always better than going out to clubs, searching for someone to kiss, in my experience. my advice is to just be around the people you love the most, whether they be people of the opposite sex or not.
  6. thanks, and merry whatnot to all of you, who always fill my days with cheer !
  7. see previous post; deep dish and bt are with oakie .
  8. what? you wanna dance? you-me-you-me-you? huh? huh? no? 'k? all right. wassup? howya doin'? wanna dance? no? huh? ho? you? hey? you? huh? WHAT IS LOVE? baby, don't hurt me...
  9. don't listen to them, magus; everyone has a life-changing club/rave/dance experience at some point in their career in these places . yours is just particularly outstanding (and therefore a little much for some veteran clubgoers to listen to) because it has a lot of the major elements all in one night, and is on your first night out. that kind of night is so awesome that some jaded old-timers who no longer feel the excitement of it don't want to hear the kind of dazzled reaction that you, as a newcomer to the scene, are feeling.
  10. was gonna do pvd and sasha, but now i'm so broke i dunno if i can afford to go out at all. might just hang out with some friends. i'll see pvd in my dreams.
  11. i went to a club on my second date with a guy and it was great, but i'm in l.a., where there are patios at every club where you can talk and be heard. (that's because smoking's prohibited inside; the patios are actually really nice and have heaters in the winter .) it was cool because we both love to dance (we had met at a club a week and a half earlier), and we could talk when we wanted to - or when we hit awkward silences. perfect.
  12. yeah, man, whether you liked their music or not, you gotta admit that they were original, fearless, and had an energy all their own. so, if you were one of those crazy cats, which one would you say you're most like and why? i would say the cowboy; he's a fun-loving guy with a kind of childlike fantasy character going on. and his new york/cali connection works with mine, too. for more info on their fabulousness, check out http://www.villagepeople-official.com/
  13. phew! for a second i thought you guys were wondering about the pic of marilyn and i was getting scared! man, i need to go to bed...
  14. the saddest line of any song i know: i need you more than want you - and i want you for all time. and i won't tell you prejudiced people who sang it or what song it's from .
  15. i tried and had technical difficulties, but if i can figure it out, i'll give you a review. i'm a computer retard but i'll try my best .
  16. i didn't care what race anyone was; the reason why i left nyc is 'cause i said, "if one more goddamn person reads over my shoulder while i'm writing in my journal, i'm outta here!"
  17. mmmmmmmmmmm music hits me in ways it never used to. i've been wondering why so many guys have been hitting on me in clubs these days, and i figured it out - it shows in the way i dance. for me, sex isn't just a physical thing. it involves my heart, mind, soul, and spirit, as well as my body. and it's only in music that i've found love that's taken hold of me in all of these areas at this point in my life. so, when i'm out there on the dancefloor, that energy comes out. dancing is all i need and it's wonderful. as they always said it would be, when i finally don't feel such a hole in my life without a man, they start approaching me. :book:
  18. omigod i just downloaded that song and heard it for the first time (armand van helden's version) and it's unbelievable. shit.
  19. amidst all the holiday hullaballoo (christmas eve, christmas, egg nog hangovers, new years eve anticipation, new years itself...) my birthday on the 27th usually gets forgotten . does anyone know of anything going on that night - cool, and cheap, too?
  20. hope i'm not too late for you, but you've probably found it already: www. giant club . com (can't write the hyperlink here ) and rock on; i defected from nyc and am having a ball out here!
  21. overslept, so tired if late, get fired. why bother? why the pain? just go home, do it again. - 42nd street subway station walkway
  22. well, let me tell you more of the story, to prove that i mean it, at least. i wasn't attracted to this guy at first when he asked me out, but he was so very nice and obviously liked me, so i figured i'd give him a chance, and if i still didn't feel a spark, i at least would have gained a friend (although most guys would drop a girl like a stinky diaper if she wouldn't have sex with him). it wasn't till our third date that i even saw him in that light at all. he turned out to be a really bad kisser, too, and that's all we did on our third date (are you still listening?), but i still decided to bear with him because he's a fucking gem and i haven't come across a nice guy in years; lots of people i know - very shallow people, i know - told me to drop him then because they said that that meant we didn't have good chemistry, but, see above: *** he's a fucking gem and i haven't come across a nice guy in years. so we're working on those details , and they're coming along quite nicely. have faith, karch; the girls who only want the guys who mistreat them are immature, have issues to work through (which is fine for now - they'll get through them), and are not the ones you want to be with.
