I hope that this doesn't offend any of you. Many of us still hold hope that more will be returned to us from the wreckage downtown. I do as well and wait to hear from more than 10 people i know who worked in the twins and haven't been in touch yet. I also have very reliable reports that 5 of my friends did not make it out. I want to put their first names and how i know them here on the board. It is partly for selfish reasons that i do so - recognizing them in this way helps me grasp that they are gone so that i can move forward.... I hope that no one else has any names to add to this thread, and that everyone is safe and sound or soon will be. Jenny, 25, girlfriend of my good friend Max, 29, a great person that i first met traveling cross country Adam, 28, my friend from boston who was here on business Becky, 27, a girl i went to summer camp with Chris, 30, a friend from school I keep their names in my heart and their smiles in my mind. Great hanging with you too. I walked up 1st Ave passed a whole bunch of people with candles and pictures and stuff. Lots of people out on the streets. In my own naighborhood (Greenpoint) just about every window has a candle in it.

me too. and its not just us. i have received hundreds of messages from people overseas - australia, brazil, hollad, peru, argentina, canada, england, turkey, israel, thailand, japan, etc. the entire world is shocked and outrage. lets remember that we are ALL in this together.

hehe. oh! i ran the product development group for a new media company - but i actually did all of this stuff: - managed the designers - managed the quality control group - created all the functional specs - briefed technology on what we were building - helped sales close deals - managed big clients kind of did a bit of everything for them. how's your new job? did it start yet? and you never told me if they needed another moron (me)?

a bunch of us (mugz, lavendermenace, sexybitchjenny - and others - i'm horrible with putting real people to their board names) were smooshed in at the end of the bar between it and the exit. we spied some of you out on the floor but couldn't move at all. hi Kara - don't remember your board name, but it was good seeing you again too. It was wonderful just having bodies pressed in all about. Tonight i need room to move though...

Yeah, i thought the music was great and there were a whole bunch of board folks there. It was also really cool chillin' with the firemen. You all know that all the money they collected went to help the effort, right? When we were in line outside this pretty drunk fireman came out to thank us all for coming down and waiting in line. He got a huge round of cheers and then got passed all the way down the line in group hug. That was pretty cool. I left the downstairs around 2:30 or 3 - it was too packed and crowded, and hung out upstairs with somemore of our boyz - they needed the release of hanging out much more than we did.

Was laid off last friday. Cleaned out my office this afternoon. My old boss: "Stick around, grab a beer with me." I do. Does he pay for it? NO! bitch ass mother fucker.

Why else would i be up? (well, i can think of a few reasons). I keep having dreams where people close to me are working in the towers. i don't like this!

I've already lost 4 friends i know of today. I don't blame the people partying in the streets over there. They are all brainwashed. People are basically good. There is so much propoganda (sp) going on over there so that these crazy dictators and kings can stay in power that the people think that american's are baby killers and stuff. i'm so mad and pissed off and upset, but don't be pissed at people for being ignorant.

Was supposed to be 2 blocks from there signing my termination papers right now. I have a friend who was supposed to be on that flight from boston and went to the ER instead. Of course new people are allowed!! you don't think i want to hang out with MUGZ all night? he seems funny on the board, but... so, to answer some of your questions: * i live in brooklyn.... * any time between late and early is good - but not before!!! * donkeys and latex don't really mix (bad oder combo - trust me). so long as the donkeys hang by the bar, its all cool though. * i pack my own baggies, but they're always empty by the time i get to the airport. given my current state of employment, why don't we warm the place up (read decorate) the night before. Which night and before what, where, who, why, don't really matter... btw, 10/6 is absolutely a no go for me. some idiot decided i was a sound, solid and responsible choice for his best man.
