  1. Your post contains no logic and doesn't make much sense. Please elaborate.
  2. FHM said she was a loan officer in Jersey.
  3. Agreed. Catholic churches are tax-exempt. But that doesn't seem to stop them from voicing their opinions. I am a Catholic and a Bush-supporter, but you gotta call a spade a spade.
  4. I might go over with my mother at 6 AM. I was planning on going on my lunch break (1 PM) but now I'm not sure. This is my 1st time voting, so I don't really know what to expect.
  5. Hopefully, we will see some election reform in the near future. Either a total Popular Vote or a proportional Electoral College. Even though this means Gore would have been our President, I still feel it's the right way to do it.
  6. With regards to the economy...aside from 9/11, it should also be noted that the late-1990s saw an unprecedented bull market (none like it since WWII) which, naturally, would have to come back down. SINCE the "Internet Bubble" burst, the President has seen more jobs created than ever before. Vacation Time...it is a known fact that the President's ranch in Crawford, TX is a place where he gets a lot of work done. This is why it is called "White House West". The USMC and Marine-One pilots even sell "White House West" merchandise to fund the Marine Corps. Ball. Is this some of the "gray area" you were referring to, Vicman? And XPyrate, I sincerely hope you plan on voting for Nader, being how much emphasis you placed on the war in Iraq. John Kerry, himself, would have went to war in Iraq.
  7. This came up in the Hip-Hop forum. The man has the right to express his own opinion, but it sucks for him that the majority of the military actually supports President Bush.

  9. Don't forget, Willie played for the Mets too. I hope they take him, he was my choice after they fired Valentine. It's true that he has no managerial experience and he hasn't coached in the NL but he has been sitting on a bench in between Joe Torre and Don Zimmer, both successful NL managers (and ex-Mets). And I'm not sure he won't be able to handle the media. He has been involved in NY baseball for how many years now and he grew up in Brooklyn so I think he'll do fine. and plus, the Daily News said that it's a possibility that he will bring Jaramillo and Bowa with him. I would like to see the 80s Mets too, but I think Omar is doing the right thing.
  10. Yeah I know a few people who have seen her in Poor Billy's and Deko. I heard she's mad short and just as good looking in peson. I also heard she's kind of down to earth and doesn't cunt it up. so good for her.
  11. on the new GL, Game says that Guerilla Black isnt even from Compton. Sucks for him.
  12. he's entitled to his opinion but it's too bad for Eminem that the majority of the military supports Bush. Ahh..bring it to the Current Events forum.

    why

I think that newspapers tend to endorse the political party that their readers generally favor. I guess this gives their base something to identify with. The major newspapers are based in major cities. Of course, urban areas typically lean towards the Democrats which is why I think you see a lot more Liberal support from the print media.
  14. Clinton had a number of opportunities to nail Bin Laden. The finger would be over the button, when he and Sandy Berger would have a moral dilemma and pull back for fear of collateral damage.
  15. I don't know if Pavano just had a career year this season. Milton is much more legitimate and a safer investment IMO, but will cost more. And plus, I think Pavano is from New England. I see Milton in New York and Pavano in Boston. And there's no question Beltran will be in pinstripes.
  16. hey-ya hey-ya hey-ya ho go buy a ja rule cd
  17. Mainstream print media typically endorses Democrats. I think there is one NY paper that doesn't, either the Daily News or the Post. I'm not sure because I don't read the Post and I remember the Daily News endorsing Mark Green (D) in the last mayoral election.
  18. that's a bad bitch.
  19. i <3 vida has she been in any other videos besides cassidy, kanye, and the old big pun?
  20. agreed 100%. But in my post I placed him in the same circle as Coulter due to my opinion of them as "over the top" and "know-it-alls".
  21. It's really not hard to see the type of politician Kerry is.
  22. A lot of Republicans don't like Anne Coulter. She's in the same circle as Bill O'Reilly. I personally think she's over the top, and sounds like a know-it-all on television.
  23. Please explain to me how the 2000 election was stolen. The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights conducted a six-moth investigation on the Florida vote. They found NO evidence of anyone being disenfranchised and in the small incidents where violations of the Voter's Rights Act were committed, NONE were in Republican-controlled counties. I would 100% sacrifice some of my civil liberties in order to better protect the country. I have nothing to hide, and I have yet to be inconvenienced by the Patriot Act. What about you? I am not denying that it was good thing that we avoided war during the Clinton Administration. They problem I have is the fact that Pres. Clinton utilized the military in an unprecendented 26 "operational events" all while cutting military funding at a faster rate than any President in the 20th century. And don't give me the post-Cold War argument b/c funding was already decreased in Bush 41's term. "We should be feared. I'm happy we are feared. And I don't care that people hate us. Anyone that matters, has hated us and would continue to hate us, regardless of pre-emptivism."
  24. Wow, simply opening up with the 2000 election shows the author's partisanship and sour grapes befitting of left-wing champs. After 9/11, the nation felt extremely vulnerable and began to embrace conservative values. I have yet to see how the Patriot Act DOESN'T make us a safer country. The tax cuts for the wealthy has a lot more to do with economics than politics, and could probably be better addressed in a separate thread. I see, a Democrat is an un-American traitor and a Republican is a Fascist. Somebody needs to relax. These labels come from the columns, not from Congress Why attack Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, when they could be better used as allies? It's funny how this guy claims that "the 3,000 victims of 9/11 remain unavenged" then goes on to complian how "thousands of innocent people have been thrown into concentration camps". I see that the author is a "Kerryist" Democrat. Now he disagrees with the war in Afghanistan. Afghanistan has nothing to do with the war on terrorism? I never heard that one before. Total energy dominance over oil and natural gas? At the outset of the American bombing of Baghdad, the President stated that the oil belongs to the people of Iraq. Oh, I'm sorry that Clinton was stuck paying off Reagan's debt (i.e., ending the Cold War) Maybe if the author did a little more research he would see that Clinton used the military more than any other President not in a time of war. All while dramatically cutting military funding. See #2 and 4. We should be feared. I'm happy we are feared. And I don't care that people hate us. Anyone that matters, has hated us and would continue to hate us, regardless of pre-emptivism. It's not simply the "post-dot-com economy". Does he realize that the Clinton economy was blessed by the Internet, a positive economic shock that hadn't been seen since the introduction of the automobile. The mid-90's bubble would eventually burst, right before Bush was settled into office. Republican or Democrat, any economist will agree with that. It has nothing to do with Bush or Clinton's economic policy, it is simply economics. Add to that a national disaster, as well as a global war on terror, and maybe he will begin to see the reasons for our deficit. Re: tax cuts -- see #2. Perhaps the author can explain this middle ground. When it comes to gay marriage and abortion, you are either labelled a left-wing lunatic or a right-wing fascist. Oh I knew #10 was gonna be a good one.
