Technically on tues go to SAPPHIRE for EMAN n LOLA DEEP SEE party with the best dancers in NYC every tues party been going on for 6 yrs now. Also will be a halloween jam that night as well. a big deephouse track thats been out for a while now, you can buy it at www.traxsource.com and www.beatport.com This like someone else pointed out is from the other side of the house music world but also the roots of housre music, the deephouse side. Some people only thing deephouse is slow gospel/soulful music, but oviously they dont know any better. That worl is all about thye music and dancing. Best example would be this sun at deep for the 718 sessions 4 yr party.

The party has lasted 15yrs with TIMMY REGISFORD as the main dj since the begining, NAME another party or dj that can boast that number. And while TIMMY is an underground djs he still plays all over the world.

wanted to bring this topic back to life, because in the last yr that i made this topic nothing has changed at all really. I keep seein djs being booked or trying to get booked because of one or 2 productions being great. And sometimes ive gone to hear certain djs for the first time and have not been impressed at all. Vice versa too some djs ive heard workin on tracks aint exactly cutting it at the moment but then thats all matter of tastes and experience working on tracks. I still think a lot of Local or Tri state talent is overlooked because of all these bookings of non proven djs, and some of these non proven djs are making alot of money and climbing up the dj list (if you care for that shit) because of thier tunes alone. Any more comments on this topic?

Educate yourselves. And for the people who think "ITS ONLY ABOUT THE NEWEST SONGS" only, listen to a legendary dj who has been around since the 80s tell you that ITS NOT in the first 2 mins or so.

To all my friends out in Musicland, In the midst of all the excitement regarding the opening of Stereo, New York, I’ve been told about some negative statements coming from certain individuals, and I'd like to set a few things straight. First of all, before there was any other "sound guy" or sound company at Stereo Montreal, there was Angel Moraes and the original stereo system for 4 years. It was my team and those 4 years that made Stereo what it is. With all due respect to the people that are there now, the fact is they would not be there if it wasn’t for me and my team. We created Stereo - the name, and its logo, and I am going to use it if that’s OK with all the negative people out there. I always do things on a positive and good vibe and quite frankly I cant believe how negative and malicious some people can be. Lighten up people!!!!! Secondly, it is not NY emulating Montreal. Quite the contrary, Stereo was conceived in 1983 when I visited the Paradise Garage in NYC and said to myself "one day I want to build something like this". So bringing Stereo to New York is an attempt to bring back that wonderful vibe that used to exist in this city even before Montreal knew what underground afterhours were. YOU KNOW THE ONE! That beautiful vibe that made me fall in love with Montreal and decide to create Stereo there. Having Stereo in NY is an honor for me, and hopefully for you as well. Honestly, I don’t understand the malice and the negative comments from some of you. This is a good thing for NY. This can be a great thing for the party people in both our cities. My intention is to bring people together. I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful messages on myspace and the many people who support me positively, you truly inspire me and I hope to see you on the dance floor @ STEREO NEW YORK on November 18th 2006. As for those ‘certain individuals’ if you don’t want to participate, suit yourselves and stay home. Finally, I want everyone to keep in mind that this place is for EVERYBODY.
