Here's a good jungle juice recipe: Ingredients: 1.0 bottle Grain Alcohol 2.0 gal cold Kool-Aid 6.0 sliced Apple Directions: slice apples to small 1/4 in cubes, then mix 2 gal strawberry or any kool-aid, then get some 16oz cups, now your ready, put about 15 or twenty aplles cubes in to the glass, add everclear until it surrounds the apples, the fill the rest up with cold kool-aid and stir, drink the liquid first then eat the apple

Get some grass skirts, hawaiian shirts, tiki glasses, jungle juice, and you'll be good to go.

Any time that I was ever there, the place was pretty packed, although I haven't been there in like 6 months. But with their lease being so expensive, maybe they weren't making enough money to make it worth their while. Maybe at Spirit, they will begin to cater to an older crowd and stop the 18+ events. That crowd will spend more $ on alcohol, and the lease will probably cost less too. Maybe that's what they have in mind.....

Not necessarily. Just b/c the management team is the same doesn't mean that they're not going to make some changes. They'd have to be pretty stupid to follow the same plan as they did w/ Avalon. So hopefully they've addressed the problems that they had and are working to correct them. Guess we'll have to wait and see how it goes...

The most simple explanation is that they don't consistently bring in the quality of talent that draws big crowds. Sure, the Made Events feature some great talent, but then you'll have a bunch of other parties in between that simply don't get a lot of attention. Another way to look at it is to examine the success of Crobar. It seems that every week, they've got a star studded lineup (except when Boris is there, but even he has a big following). This week you've got Hernan C. and Deep Dish going on Fri. and Sat. Both are gonna draw huge numbers. They also draw in non-music heads that just stand around, but they spend money there, and that contributes to their success. Spirit and Crobar compete w/ one and other b/c they're a block away. As long as Crobar keeps consistently booking the better talent, they will be more successful and take some of the attention away.

I wish that hip-hop would go the way of the pet rock.
